I just stir in 2 heaping tbls good yoghurt into the cold milk in the instapot, set for normal heat for 7-9 hrs depending on how sour tasting I feel like, and hit the yoghurt button - no preheating or anything and it turns out perfect every time - thick and tangy.
Thank you for your video and the chart! It's invaluable. My black beans did not cook all the way in 30 minutes, and I doubt that they are old since I got them from a reputable heirloom bean company in Northern California one month ago. I think I'm going to pressure cook for another 10 minutes, and then finish them off on the stove if they still aren't quite done.
Why would you ruin healthy food by using aluminum foil ? like dont people know yet how it can seep into your food google it and see the results . Reynolds wrap people and others wont tell you that . Not to hurt feelings but so each can be healthy , there must be something else that can be used
oh man I learned two dishes so far from your channel, the ribs and this potato with the instant pot. Together with my air fryer, my meal have tasted 10 times better with very little clean up. Thank you!
I live in England and I have only found the Horseradish on Amazon (England) and they only sell HOT Prepared Horseradish. I did not want my meat to be hot tasting so I did put a little bit of paprika. I had used it before in pulled pork that I made in my DUO Instant Pot. Does that sound alright or do you have any other substitute ideas. gloria
My 3 qt Duo keeps giving me the Lid error message. I've tried everything, and since I've only had it a few months, no spare ring. It should last more than a half dozen uses, shouldn't it?
It should, but things happen. I would take the ring out, carefully inspect for tears and if it is fine, wash it and put it back in place and try it again.
To make quinoa in a pot, you would need to pour 1.5 cups of water into the inner pot. Add a trivet and place a heat-safe bowl on trivet with quinoa and water. I have found that you need to increase the cooking time to 3 minutes to account for the thicker bowl.
You know, for recipes, short form media is actually beneficial. I never realized just how much added verbiage a lot of cooking RU-vidrs throw in since looking for this recipe.
I am sorry you found this to be long--I try to stay to the point but add helpful knowledge. I have a jump to recipe button on all my posts on my site so you can skip right to that if you don't want to hear any tips.
I tried to cook white rice and followed your rice guide to the t but it never pressurizes and eventually just gives me the food burn notice. Ive cleaned it and even went as far as biying a new sealing ring but no luck. I'm about to throw my instant pot away if I cant figure out why it wont come to pressure
Hey there! I am so sorry you are having issues. Is the vent knob closed? What size model do you have? If an 8-quart you need to at least 1.5 cups of liquid.
It is amazing! Just keep in mind it will take about 23-25 minutes in total to account for the time it take for the Instant Pot to come to pressure and for pressure to release.
I made these last night for dinner, and it was a HIT!!! I could not get over the flavor. We had seasoned fajita meat that I thawed, squirted lemon juice and let it sit for an hour, and then I followed the rest of your recipe. Will be doing this again! Thank you!
Just found your video after having tried several stove top "perfect" recipes that were far from.... Well, you nailed it! Thank you! I have an 8qt and they couldn't have turned out better 😊
