Can't wait to make this tonight. I chopped up all the veggies last night so when I get home from work I can throw this together. I did notice that the printed instructions do not include the minced garlic.

I have enjoyed split pea at cafes, but never cooked them. They would serve the soup with crema and 'candied' ham on top. Thanks for the recipe. **do you have a recipe with navy or lima and the leftover ham?
