Still have it but don’t use it that much these days- mostly because I am a pianist, so I’m actually better at playing in rhythms on my keyboard. But working fine!
Hope you're still cranking out some compositions, for your own enjoyment, as well as earning a living. Don't remember when I picked up Thinspace, but I'm still listening to it in rotation from the MP3 HDD, and I still think it rocks (as an awesome soundtrack, not necessarily as "rock"). My MP3 collection is BIG, but 75% of the time something comes up from Thinspace when I'm doing something else (telework, research, etc) I stop to confirm what the music is. That's the sign of some impacting music. At least for me, anyway. Cheers from Europe.
Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it - put a lot of love into that album! And yes been making music everyday and loving it, making film and tv music in LA now and still doing projects of my own. ❤
First of all. I don't think a vibrating Metronome on the body is not the thing to keep time when playing in a band without a click track or in recording . the whole purpose of a Metronome is learning to keep time and learning to keep time without having one at hand, so if your body waits for the vibration your timekeeping skills go to hell. And it its quit obvious that none here knows how to practice with a Metronome as I can read in the comments , " I can't speed up the bpm in a recording or program it to speed up to another bpm instead of using the simple speed up there is .Playing at 60bpm one note per beat, and speed up to 2 ,3 ,4 notes per beat , while the metronome stays at 60 beats per minute instead of 120 or 240 bpm quit easy right ,so you can build up your speed at 60 bpm by doubling the notes you play in one beat and so on. it is handy if you set your Metronome Volume not to loud if it is possible , if you are in time you will not hear the click if you not in time you will hear it, after a while of training you will not hear the loudest Metronome anymore it comes second nature, you will not hear it anyway if you play with a full flat out AC 15/30 but that is contra productive to learn time keeping. And the price they charging for that plus the subscription fee is way to expensive
Well, this is precisely what I wanted to see to help better inform my purchasing decision. Looking at midi drum pads and the Alesis Sample Pad Pro is I think winning.
Hi, thanks for sharing your review! I take you don't necessarily need to have it connected via bluetooth to the mobile the whole time, you can set y specific bpm even without a mobile nearby, am I right?
is anyone still using these things? i ordered one because I need to start learning to keep time and learn to count, theres a thousand unboxing vids where ppl give their opinions but nothing out on people who are useing these or how long they last in a daily use situation.
I got the latest one (SB core) a year or two ago and still use it as my main metronome-I don’t use the earlier ones anymore but did until I got the new one. Still good to use regular metronomes but I find I can practice longer with an SB as it is less annoying.
@@SPEARFISHER i ordered a demo from sweetwater, so its used its the limited blue one i figured that'd be the newest of the used ones... i just need to learn to count i try to say 1234 and all that but i'm retarded and ADD so as soon as i shift my focus, or deviate from the constant loop, its like momento i have no idea where i'm at... i thought if i got one it would force me to try and figure out how to walk and chew bubblegum at the same time.
I’m a rank novice and am worse than your student at the beginning. I saw a video of a very accomplished pianist who did not like the vibrating metronome so am grateful to find a situation similar to mine. I’ll buy one. Thanks!
So, I think I discovered your review of the PM40 on the website of a popular supplier of audio gear to the masses. I've been considering purchasing one. Our company does live audio for quite a number of jazz shows, and quite a few of the pianists want to shove the Baldwin piano the venue owns up on stage. I've miced it up with off the shelf LDCs, SDCs, and dynamics on stands but always felt like the sound was a compromise. Your recording is phenomenal. Have you used the PM40 on a live stage?
A multi-million dollar corporation that can't answer a phone or hire some kids to handle calls? That's dysfunctional and Irresponsible at the least. After listening to the CEO? another nerd with a lot of money but probably doesn't play an instrument or jazz..
I’m a paraplegic and was having trouble learning to stay in time. Everyone said to tap my foot….well, that wasn’t possible…the Soundbrenner has been a game changer for me. Just got my core model and it has already helped me tremendously!
Question on the top 2 pads (2 smaller top pads - the hi hat or cymbal sounds) those 2 pads. I have the same samplepad. How do you set those 2 pads that you don't have to hit them that hard. I found that i have to hit them pretty hard to make any sound. and then if they do.. it's full volume loud. (there's no soft tap or mid level trigger for the 2 smaller top pads)
was thinking i was the only person who put the connection between these 2 songs. really happy i searched for it and found someone else thought it too :D thank you so much
