How do you feel after the Japanese card market bubble has popped? You can get so many of those cards PSA 10 for super cheap on eBay and they aren't liquid either since you there are tons of listings just sitting there waiting for a catch.
@@CptCheddar doesn’t it depend on when i would have bought those cards? quite a few are those that i pulled myself, but more widely i genuinely just prefer Japanese cards and have a collecting goal of getting all the alt arts and chase cards. Obviously, no one wants to see their cards go down in value but I don’t lose sleep at night over this!
Awesome collection . I’ve almost entirety moved into collecting modern ( sun&moon to current sets ) . On a side note… I never got into Japanese 😅 you kinda lost me with all the Japanese cards you own
Great collection! Made me regret not jumping on the SWSH alt arts sooner. Out of interest, do you grade directly with PSA yourself or do you use one of the middleman services like Black Label, Trust Grading, Sub Center?
love the collection. 2 questions: 1) how come you collect japanese? 2) if you choose one modern card to hold for 20 years what card would it be? I would choose the mewtwo GX in a psa10. Cheers!
@@jasonyam6466 thank you! 1) i prefer japanese texture for modern cards, it looks nicer and more detailed 2) depends what modern means nowadays but usually i just go with things that i like. you might want to consider whether it’s a language exclusive, what the population is likely to be, etc. good luck!
pokebeach said theres a set called battle partners releasing january 24th that will include owners pokemon. Theres also sth called the Collection file N and Collection file lilie released next year with it, so possible return of lilie and N. On february 21st theres also gonna be Marnie and Steven decks released that include the trainer with 2 pokemon in one card, so the return of tag teams!
love the lacey sar. the terapagos sar too! Honestly, more excited for paradise dragona, I think their bringing back latias, latios, and alteria. Hopefully some cool latias and latios sars coming in september. For pokemon channels i watch, I only watch you and bonnietastic now, love your guys content!

you can at the moment for some sets that amazon japan sells directly, but up until recently they were usually always sold out due to popularity so that you had to buy from different sellers on Amazon Japan, and those sellers only ship to Japanese address
Great to see some UK based collectors/investors. Far to often all I find is US ones. I actually picked up a bunch of Japanese boxes to sell at my events from tiktok shop ad they where so cheap.

Pass on One Piece after 1st five sets. While quality of cards are good, top cards have becoming like Yugioh where alternate arts, special foils actually worth money. With limited space, I only focus on Pokemon now. Thanks to strong USD, spending power is about 1.5 time vs. during normal time. Since Japanese Pokemon cards have better quality, regardless how much cards worth, buy Japanese Pokemon cards at the moment. Even Japanese One Piece cards if anyone prefers.

Violet base is such a good deal right now, the base sets with the waifus usually does super well over time, like moon and shield. Im a collector, so I try to collect one of every set, cause I just really like the way sealed boxes look 😂.
Great pickups and video! I completely agree with the investments. For me I collect in a much smaller scale, nonetheless I will be purchasing several of these also.
