18 years and still going! This has been my favorite RU-vid video since I was like 13-15. Please don't take this video down ever, please 🙏? Because this has been my go-to song that soothes all the mental illnesses I've acquired in the almost two decades, this video has been uploaded. And I'd probably lose my shit and be sent to some other shit hole mental health hospital(s), so pretty pretty please don't ever take this down??? Thanks if you get this message for reading up to this "thank you" that I'm typing right now
The interviewer asks in regards to Superstition "How is your version, the feel ?" .. Stevie replies "um, ours was like" ... Not "my version" but "our version" ... Rude Mood is like a freakin Tsunami .. The greatest concert I ever saw was Stevie at The Pier in NYC - the vibe from him onstage overflowed to the crowd, and it was literally like a spiritual experience .. Stevie was more than a guitarist, more than a singer and writer - he was one of the very few that was like a conduit from Heaven
I’ve been watching this video for years. I come back to a few comment updates, and watch again. It was the very first video I ever saw of Buckethead. ♥️ my hero
One of the absolute best. I don’t care how these you tube virtuosos shred and copy everyone else, SRV was original and blessed by God. You can’t replicate or duplicate God given talent, heart and soul. SRV was a force to be reckoned with, he will never be forgotten
Just an unbelievable and amazing look into how finite life is. This man conquered the number one killer of musicians, and he was still robbed of his life over something he couldn’t control. Hope God is getting a really good guitar lesson cause that’s the only reason why he would have taken stevie
When the light bulb finally went on in my head---in my own voice "this is the only battle you win by surrendering".....8 weeks later I come across this interview
My fav part of the Superstitiois MV is Stevie's solo, obviously. But at a very close second is Stevie Wonder's cameo at the end. Such a cool little detail!
I would give anything to have just sat down and had a conversation with Stevie, he seems to have been so much more than just one of the best, or the best guitarist to have ever lived. He was one cool cat! 🎸👑
