Nice video Timber, thanks 😃Nice to see a 009 layout there, I am thinking of either doing a full 009 layout in the future or wondering if I can squeeze an element in my current build, possibly running from the Mine to the branch station. I will have a good think about it but I've always loved the Double Farlies and now that they are available then one of those would look very nice especially as the layout is set in Wales 😉 Take care
Hello Timbersurf I was going to go to this show but , couldn't go in the end, thanks for filming it though, I like to see the N Gauge layouts in particular. Thanks
Excellent Tim. I got here from reading your comments on Lord Al's video. I'm one of Lord A's colonial subscribers from out in the dominions. I haven't been in Al's neck of the woods since 1962, probably time for another visit. lol.
@@TimberSurf Thank you Tim, I didn't know you were a sub of mine. I have been trying to put together a plan to visit this year but without success as yet. GETS sounds like a great excuse, do you have the dates?
@@trainsontuesday Its' Timber, I organise the YTubers meet and greet. www.keymodelworld.com/article/2024-great-electric-train-show-dates-revealed This was last years ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2SOqHEmRWZY.html, 50 odd Yutubers and two from abroad
Brilliant video TimberSurf. Was nice to meet you and all the other RU-vidrs. Was definitely a great event. I’ll definitely be there next year . Maybe with my own layout next time.😊
Hello Timbersurf It was indeed a great day all round and your organisation of the YT meet up was up to its usual high standards. No doubt there will be more meet ups in the future at various locations and I look forward to them all. Many thanks (i'm the one hiding behind Grace in the dark blue poolo shirt with red stripes...lol)
I worked that out when I was editing, you did a better job of hiding than I did! You should have come over and had a chat, as I only realised who you were after the event!
Brilliant video buddy and a fantastic weekend, a few good friends missing hopefully next year they can come, but yes brilliant to finally see faces behind the pixels online :)
Awesome video Timber, thank you. i must say that in picture #3 that Rob from @RGJTrains was NOT proposing to me! 😆It was great to meet everyone and a big huge thanks to your good self Timber for arranging it 😊
Absolutely fantastic. Fantastic day out and was great to meet all the other RU-vidrs too. And thank you Timbersurf for the gift. And to put faces to names for those I hadn't seen on screen. And a big thank you to Jason @Barnabasjunction.
Sorry about that Timber, instictive reaction being a natural pain in the backside... enjoyed the meet up with like minded Railheads and excellent show anyway :)
Got any Class 37's running about ? Got a soft spot for those locomotives and other Tractors like them, lol. 1:21 not familiar with this train and is it turbine powered ? Sounds like it,cool.
He is into his modern image diesels mostly, The APT-E was a cutting edge technology experimental tilting train developed by British Rail in the 70's, originally with gas turbine engines, and ran briefly on the main line as the APT-P, before being scrapped due to a lack of funds en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_APT-E
good stuff - Seen a lot of crossings modelled and they are all just mechanical up/down with no finesse. so pleased to see you have the bounce in the servos for the gates and the alarm doesn't sound until the flash sets in. One comment I would make is the start of the flashing could do with some work. The sequence tends to be: both on, left off, both off, left on, (very short pause) right on , left off occulting. timing wise it seems to be at the same as the flash cycle except the the last right on, left off is rapid but noticable. jus' saying. If you incorporated this I reckon you have a perfect simulation. I have also seen video of some crossings where the wailers start with the amber light coming on, but not in real life. Very good work
Hi Timber. Some great scenics at the exhibition. Brilliant bit of filming. Gants Hill been through many times, was a driver on the Central line. One I found impressive was Chwarel Vwm Bach 2.0 Thanks for showing us. Thumbs up thumped 👍 ....Pete....
So many fantastic layouts with amazing detail. You’ve captured each scene really well. This is an exhibition I would like to visit some time. Thanks for sharing
Hi Bud, just subscribed to the channel as thought the videos were really good. I heard you say that your only 20 mins from Port Sunlight as i am about the same myself from there. I watched carefully to see if i could see myself there but not at the taime you were. Keep up the great vids. Ken
Thanks Ken. I am in Wrexham. Counter subbed, you have a great layout, get some more running video's done. I go to Sunlight fairly often, so next time may wear my TimberSurf badge lol
@@TimberSurf Yes i keep meaning to do some new videos as that layout i tore up a few months back and have started another now. If i see you at Port Sunlight i will give you a tap on the shoulder if thats ok. Cheers Ken.
Wonderful. I was exhibiting LITTLE SIMONSBY with T.R.M.G, and it ran excellently all day, with only a few minor faults; those being one or two derailments and a quickly rectified points issue where locos were cutting out, which turned out to be dirty track. On the whole though a great exhibition!
