Good review and makes me happy I have the Focusrite. One feedback I have is to avoid shaking the products when showing a close up of the product especially the buttons. You can also add b-shots showing closeups.
I like warm but maybe they could make stuff that improves on the old vintage stuff instead of just trying to clone them. I have a RND Newton Channel and it sounds amazing. It’s not trying to be a 1073, it’s its own thing. I think warm can do the same.
One thing I think should be mentioned is that the SM7B is a very gain hungry dynamic mic. You’ll need a preamp to help it achieve those wonderful mids you hear. The Lauten Audio 208 has some cut options built in and has plenty of gain in its own since it isn’t dynamic.
Idk if you have them or have seen them, but if you have, would you compare these to the Khali LP8s? Im trying to see if i can save a couple hundred by getting these instead
Maaaaaaaaan. As soon as I stopped taking new “clients” and helping develop ungrateful artists, so many well paying and professional opportunities popped out of what seemed like nowhere.
