Ever since the writers wrote Spectacular Walter Hardy as Spectacular Uncle Ben’s killer and regret it only for Spectacular Peter to not forgive him (going against everything Sam Raimi was trying to show in Spider-Man 3 when he wrote his version of Sandman as Uncle Ben’s true killer and felt guilty about it and Raimi Peter forgave him honoring his Uncle Ben’s last wish) the only reason I would have ever wanted to write a Season 3 would be to write Spectacular Uncle Ben not be who Spectacular Peter thought he was and turn out like the Uncle Ben from Charlie Parker’s world. But then I realized that would have made me no better than the fans are. But of course Spectacular Peter should be banished from ever visiting his version of Uncle Ben’s grave and banishing him from ever visiting his version of Uncle Ben’s grave is clearly the right thing to do.

Truth be told, I truly enjoyed the video above. The only thing I didn't like about it, was how short it was. In comparison to the other videos Sodim did (which were around 20 minutes give or take), the video above was only about seven minutes. Plus, though many good points were brought up in the video above, I did feel like more good points could have been mentioned in it as well. For example, so many people think that the voice acters for the Bruce Timm shows are the only true voices for said characters. The most famous example, being Keven Conroy. Even before the death of Keven, the 90's Batman cartoon fanatics would attack anyone like mad dogs if they didn't say he was the definitive voice for Batman. Not even dislike the voice mind you. Plus, heaven help anyone if they actually hate his performance. Which despite what the fanatics would tell you, those people do in fact exist. I've seen them now and again, however most of them get quickly bullies or silenced before too long. P.S. As an honorable mention, I have a collection of aggressive fanatics that I feel should be mentioned. A lot of the same things you've called out these other collectives for doing, are also practiced religiously by the fanatics of the Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" films. When it comes to bad behavior and trying to police their opinions as law, look no farther than that bad bunch. I would list examples, but because there are so many examples, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I'll admit I didn't mention enough, and I agree with what you said about some other points you mentioned, especially as someone who had ended blocking someone for attacking me for not holding the DCAU up in the highest regard, claiming I must've "missed the mature themes or deeper storytelling". @@sodium285 Well, I'm glad we agree on this. I truly don't want to be rude, however I felt like you dropped the ball with this video in comparison to its three twins. It's not a bad video, but there is a lot of uncovered ground here. Now I have a feeling (based off of the exact wording you used in the video above) that you eventually plan to combine them all into one long video, so I almost can understand why you left out some of this information. To your credit, maybe you just felt like you would be repeating yourself too much. However again, as a solo video it feels empty and unfair in comparison to its predecessors. It feels less thorough and more could have been said without repeating yourself as well. I normally wouldn't recommend this, however do you think you could make a part two or a remake of the video above? I don't want this one to be deleted, however I feel like there are too many holes in this one. All in all, it just feels unfinished.

@sodium285
@sodium285 15 дней назад
I appreciate your honest and respectful insight and you taking the time in watching my video. I'm well aware many people stopped watching Power Rangers after Zeo. Maybe Zeo didn't affect that 85% the same way MMPR did. Same with other seasons. Like I had said in the video, different seasons affect different people differently. Eric just wasn't my cup of tea. I like flawed characters, but I guess Eric was maybe a bit too cynical for my taste, even if it was intentional. But I feel these types of things work better for me for antagonists (Sure, maybe you could argue Eric was supposed to be an antagonist at first, but similar to Jen earlier and Alex a bit later in the season, it's like they made Eric super unlikeable just to make Wes look better) I've heard why people dislike Nick before, but what you said about the "Tommy Oliver Effect" can IMO also be applied to Andros and especially Wes (at least TJ, Ashley, Carlos and Cassie have the 2nd half of Turbo under their belt, but In Space, as good as it was, did put a lot of emphasis on Andros). Some people have admitted Lucas felt a bit redundant, and admittedly my like for him is mostly due to his attitude and this scene: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9gBre61Pew4.html&pp=ygUZbHVjYXMgd2F0Y2hlcyB3ZXMgYW5kIGplbg%3D%3D Katie and Trip often felt redundant, and I felt Jen got reduced to being a part of Wes' character which was frustrating and disappointing for me as the first Female Leader of a Power Ranger Team. Ntm, for the majority of Dimensions in Danger, it felt like Wes was the leader of the Legendary Rangers. Look, even though I dislike Wes and find him annoying, I don't dislike Jason Faunt. In fact, he seems like a nice guy, but we could see other Red Rangers who might have said they'd totally come back but have never been invited for a change sometimes. If anything, this puts Jason Faunt in the same boat as what JDF was described as being in.

@@sodium285 Hey Sodium if you had the chance, how would you rewrite Time Force?
@sodium285
@sodium285 14 дней назад
@@tysonpalermo8246 Good question. Here's some things I would've done that could've improve my personal enjoyment of Time Force, even if by a little bit: 1) Have more Time Travel. I know I'm probably asking for too much from Haim Saban, but I feel a Ranger Team that has Time Travel as its theme, there was little to none of it. I think having Ransik try and take over Earth from different time periods would've been cool. 2) Leave Alex dead. I feel bringing him back only to essentially antagonise him just to make Wes look better very much undermined Jen's sadness and determination to hunt down and capture Ransik at the beginning of the season. It would be like bringing Uncle Ben back to life but he's a horrible person to Peter Parker. 3) Eric could still be flawed, but to me he came of as WAY TOO unlikeable and (boarderline) cynical for my taste, even if it was by design. I feel this type writing works better for antagonist, not for supporting characters for the hero(es)/characters who are about to become heroes. While Eric could maybe keep his jealousy towards Wes, he could hide it a bit more, 4) A biproduct of more time travel means focusing less on the Silver Guardians Storyline. That story I didn't particularly care for. Instead, you could have the Time Force interact with people from different Time Periods like WW1 or 2, or even the Middle Ages, ingiting hope in them in dark times. Characters could have flaws, but I felt some relationships, such as Wes and Eric's, and initially Wes and Jen's were maybe a bit too mean spirited for my liking. 5) Tone down the drama, even if only by a little, as it made Time Force feel to me more like a prototype of a CW show rather than Live-Action Anime (Which is what Power Rangers has always felt to me, except Dino Charge). especially with the whole Love-Triangle of Wes/Jen/Alex and the Will They/Won't They things between Wes and Jen feeling very CW-esque to me. 6) Give Jen more leadership moments, as I feel she ended being reduce to being defined by her relationship with Wes. It's disappointing considering she's the first female PR leader, but most of the time, she barely came across as a leader to me, which wasn't help by the large amount of focus Wes got. 7) Give the rest of the Rangers more shining momets. Even though I like Lucas, I do agree he wasn't given much. 8) Points 6 and 7 may have helped me like Wes a little bit more, as maybe Wes would've come across as less whiny to me. 9)While I can commend Time Force's attempt at dealing with mature themes such as Racism, and something I'd be open to Power Rangers tackling in the future, it's the execution I have to question. I feel they could've been tackled in a more subtle/show-don't-tell kind of way. Maybe have Eric observe that not all mutants are bad with his own eyes instead of have the likes of Trip preach to him. These are things that would've improved my enjoyment of Time Force and make it more appealing to me. But hey, other people enjoyed it a lot, so Time Force just isn't one of those Seasons/Teams that I gravitate towards but others did.

" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K97e1170GmA.htmlsi=RSgq9Lj-5tyDK2V6&t=45 " I can promise you, it started far before that. The second the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film (the first one) came out, I saw and heard stories of people being bullied for not liking the film. Sadly, most of those people were silenced by the fanatics of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film. That's also part of the reason why almost no one has heard of these stories. I recall fans of the comics being disappointed in the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film for not being as accurate as it could have been. Still to this day, I once or twice see some fans of those comics state their distain for those films. However again, I bet most haven't heard of this. That's because they are being ether hidden or bullied by the fanatics of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film. I also recall a story where there was a guy that saw the movie with several of his friends. The entire ride home, his friends couldn't stop talking about how it was a perfect film. So much so, they hadn't even noticed that he had stayed dead silent for almost the entire ride home. Once they did however, they asked what he thought of the film. When he revealed that he actually didn't enjoy it (not even fully hate it mind you), he was verbally attacked without a second thought. Last I heard, it just got worse from there. In short, the second the "Guardians of the Galaxy" film came out, I saw droves of these kind of stories. So if you want to know when it started, it was the first "Guardians of the Galaxy" film.

In relation to the video above, I have a few questions I would like to ask. Before I get to them however, let me share my thoughts on said video first. I must admit that I enjoyed most of it. I didn't exactly know what it was going to be like going into it, however I now see that it kind of serves as a spiritual sequel to the "Spectacular Spider-Man" series critique video. I even saw some of my statements (that weren't mentioned in the first video) be mentioned in the video above. Though the maker of the video above said he had no intentions of revisiting the topic again, I'm glad he changed his mind. Even if it was only by a technicality. With that said, let me mention one thing that I didn't like about the video above. I've never been interested in (let along liked) "Internet culture" or it's slang terms. So though I kind of know what you mean, calling such things "toxic" in this context, dose feel a little bold. Are there bad people out there that are fans of things, without a doubt. However, I don't exactly see it as equivalent to something like an abusive relationship or literal poison. The thing about mean people online, is you can just walk away from the screen. As for offline interactions with mean people, as long as they don't get physical and fallow you, you again can just walk away. What I'm saying is, though I do agree that there are people with bad behavior out there, I think it's a little bold to brand an entire group of people as being "toxic" in this context. I understand why, but still. Now on to my questions. #1. In the video above, Sodium said that he believed the entire Sam Raimi Spider-Man fanbase, was in itself "toxic". Though I've seen some mean people who were fans of it. I always thought they were the minority in the number of those fans. So, what makes you think the majority of Sam Raimi Spider-Man fans are "toxic" people? #2. I'm genuinely curious, why do you (Sodium) consider Pokemon as a "Superhero" franchise? #3. Keeping my last question in mind, why do you (Sodium) also consider Mario, "Legend of Zelda", and so on to be "Superhero" franchises as well? Mario I kind of understand (considering he can technically get super powers), but why "Legend of Zelda"? It's fantasy to be sure, but I wouldn't say "Superhero". #4. If you consider "Legend of Zelda" to be a "Superhero" franchise, then do you feel the same for King Arthor? #5. If entertainment with "super powers" is all it takes for Sodium to consider something a "Superhero" franchise, then what about "The Hobbit", "Alice in Wonderland", "The Goonies", Hercules (or Heracleas to the Greeks), and so on? I ask these questions, because I'm truly curious to the mindset behind the statements made in the video above. At least in my experience, I would say it takes more than just powers and good deeds to make someone a "Superhero". For the record, this is nothing against people like Mario. I'm just saying I wonder why Sodium came to the conclusions he did? Lastly, I want to go over this point. Because Sodium briefly mentioned "Star Wars" in the video above. I thought I would address that point for a moment. To be fair, there is a lot of in fighting amounts those fans. In their slight defense however, they are very much a divided house. The way I see it, they have been broken up into four categories. One, people who only like the original three films. Two, people who only like the "expanded universe" of "Star Wars". Like tie in books, games, and so on. Three, people who only like "Star Wars" after Bob and company took it over. Four, last but not least, people who only like what George Lucas directly did. Which would count most of the "expanded universe", Episodes one though six, and so on. Of course there are those who are in between, but that's basically it. I mention this because, as a fan of "Star Wars" myself, I believe the "bad eggs" don't all exist in every category I mentioned. At least in my experience, I've found the original Trilogy and "Disney Star Wars" fans to be the most aggressive. Not to say they're all bad, but most of them are troublemakers.
@sodium285
@sodium285 20 дней назад
Firstly, Thank you for your feedback. It's most appreciated. Admittedly, maybe I should have mentioned that NOT EVERY SINGLE Spectacular Spider-Man Fan is Toxic, and maybe I did go a bit too far by using the word "Toxic". For your first question. Maybe I should've mentioned for all Troublesome Fandoms that it's a VERY LOUD minority that are everywhere. For your next few questions, obviously, the criteria for what qualifies as a superhero franchise differs from one person to another. I guess I've found Superhero Tropes in Franchises like Pokémon, Super Mario, Star Fox and Zelda (All Franchises I'm a fan of, especially Pokémon and Star Fox). Same with Ninja Turtles, Percy Jackson and Sonic the Hedgehog. Plus, I did find an Ultimate Superhero Movie Tier List that included the Sonic the Hedgehog and Mario Movies, as well as (of course) DC and Marvel Movies, Ninja Turtles and Power Rangers Movies. So I thought I'd qualify Pokemon, Star Fox and Zelda since I do see Superhero Tropes in them too, as well as the fact they are of Nintendo like Mario (again, my personal opinion). I can understand what you're saying about Hercules, The Hobbit and other franchises though. Plus, if I was a fan of Star Wars, Transformers and Star Trek, or could get into them, I think I would qualify them for my Superhero Movie Ranking because they do have Superhero Tropes. I guess I'm just focusing on the franchises I am a fan of. Like I said, I think we all have our own individual criterias for what qualifies as a Superhero Franchise, and all these differing criterias from one person to another are fine. You don't have to share the same criteria I do.

@@sodium285 Though I get what you are saying, I do think this point should be addressed. Personal preference is one thing, however official terms are another. Let me give you an example, someone who piolets a ship, is called a Captain. That's not opinion, that's the technical and official term. With that said, not everyone who piolets something is called a Captain. Someone just driving their car isn't called a Captain (Even if they want to call themselves one, that doesn't change this fact.), people who fly Planes aren't called Captains (they in fact have their own title called simply Piolet), people who drive Trains aren't called Captains (They also have their own name, Conductor.), and so on. I'm saying this because, there should be a distinction between opinions, and objectively categorizing something. If not, then such terms no longer mean anything if they can mean whatever anyone wants them to mean. At the end of the day, it's your life. Whatever you do is your choice, I can only advice you. However, if you are going to try and categorize something, I believe there should be a more clear rule set placed in the planning of it. These technical terms and official categorization systems exist for a reason. So opinion aside, there should be a clear, unbiased system put into place if you're to make some form of structured categorization.

I don't blame you. It's fine if people don't like the same versions of Spider-Man I do, but it's not okay when comparing other adaptions, acting as if one is more accurate than the other. Though I personally hate the "Specular Spider-Man" series, who is to say how you might feel about it after seeing it. For the record, I'm not entirely recommending the series. However (though it pains me to admit it), it might be interesting to have someone like you review the series. You could go into the series fresh to make a definitive, unbiased, and objective review of it. There by giving proof to anyone who grew up with it, that it may not hold up without "Rose Tinted Glasses" on. Plus, though I normally hate people who make videos of them reacting to something, you could always do that as well. If nothing else, that might be interesting to see. If you end up liking it, then you can at least say that you came to that conclusion yourself. If you don't like it, then you could stick it to biased fans of it with objective proof. Either way, it's a win, win situation. At the end of the day though, it's your call. I wouldn't want to try to force you into doing anything you wouldn't want to do. So, maybe think it over and see what you might want to do.

@@sodium285 There were parts of Spectacular that were alright, but ultimately, for me at least, and others as well based on comments I've read on this and other videos of yours, it just didn't hold up. If people like Spectacular, honestly I couldn't care less; I don't agree with their position, but I have far more important things to worry about than the fact that people prefer a different Spider-Man show than the one I call my favorite. For me, I seriously doubt anything will ever take the place of Spider-Man TAS. I know it's not perfect, it has pacing issues sometimes, and the dialog can be more than a little bit clunky and awkward and doesn't always stick the landing. All of that notwithstanding, I grew up with it, and it will always be special to me. There are people who like Spectacular, Ultimate or maybe even Unlimited for their own set of reasons, and unlike many Spidey fans, I'm perfectly fine with that. I don't agree, but I say live and let live. Or, to quote an old figure of speech older than I am, "different strokes for different folks." Everyone has the right to their own personal preferences, after all. Sadly, while I'm sure there are Spectacular fans who respect other fans' points of view, in my experience a large number of them can't get it through their thick heads that not everybody is going to view their favorite Spider-Man TV show the same way they do, and that different sections of the fandom have different preferences for different reasons, and there's absolutely nothing whatsoever wrong with that. It's perfectly alright to have an opinion and stick to it no matter what, but attacking people because they feel differently is completely unacceptable under any circumstances. That's the way I see it, and while many fans' attitudes disappoint me, I'm glad to know that there are at least some out there who feel the same and see no need to bash people for having divergent opinions.

The same goes for all the other Spider-Man series out there that I haven't watched or finished yet, including the MCU show that's apparently in development. When that show releases, I intend to at least give it a shot. Spidey is my personal favorite superhero, so I like to check out all media that I can. I was unaware of Spider-Man: Lotus until this video. Part of me wants to check it out and judge it for myself, though I'm not thrilled about what I read concerning the director and the main actor. Apparently they made racist/ableist comments that got leaked out over the internet, and I don't condone that sort of nonsense. I don't believe that any ethnicity is any better or worse than any other, and being a totally blind person, attacking people with disabilities is especially wrong to me. I'd like to think I'd feel that way even if I had perfect eyesight, but since I don't, that hits home in a different way.
