We consider ourselves a modern homestead/woodsman channel. We purchased property and will be building a home and starting a small farm. The plan has been from the beginning to log the entire process including cleaning up the property and the process of building the house all the way though to putting up fence, gardening, planting food bearing tress and introducing animals to the place. Along the way I will be taking you along while on bushcrafting trips as well as any family outing or event that I choose to make a movie on. We don't expect everything to come together overnight on the homestead. Life and our five kids and our seven additional foster children (at this time) dictate how much work can and cannot get accomplished but we are determined to eventually live a more self sufficient lifestyle. So basically we are a Christian family channel concentrating on modern homesteading, preparedness and woodsman skills and invite you to come along on this journey with us.
I'm so glad I ain't no cracker lol. I may have to steal your title and do a different story though lol. Seriously I'm a half breed native/scott/irish mutt, not of germanic or ayrian decent lol. racism is just dust in the eyes of people to keep them from seeing what they really should be paying attention to. Good talk sir, Amen, we all the man/woman/PEOPLE, what we are not is human, human is what you call a confused person that thinks they are a halfbreed confused animal that follows a flavor of satanism called "humanism".
I've had rabbits as pets in the past, but only a few. I brought them in when it got really cold out( below 15 degrees). I'm wanting to get started in meat rabbits and obviously there would be to many to tryin relocate when its colder. Are they hardy enough to make it outside in that kind of cold in cages alone or should I add some kind of enclosed box for them shelter? I live in southern West Virginia and it gets pretty cold in January and February, especially at night. I dont really have a shed or anything for their cages to go In. I was gonna build a rack like system similar to yours, and just add a roof. I could enclose it in the winter with a tarp,if that would help.
As long as you provide a wind break they will be fine. It’s the heat that rabbits have more of a hard time with. Air flow in the summer and wind break in the winter👍
@@37south47 Good deal,I appreciate that. The back of my property has good shade and I can easily help them with the wind. Thank you for your help friend,God bless.
Hey 37, I dont know if you remember me. My old channel was Smokin Locust. I remember that you had the same channel background as me, and I made the accusation that you had somehow stolen my original artwork. I now know, and have known for a while that it was a RU-vid glitch at that time. So, this apology is way overdue. I am truly sorry for the accusation, and for the time passed without an apology, it was uncalled for. I hope that we can start over. You got my attention again recently when I seen your comments under one of Wes's videos. Lets just say, those 👍👍 are from me, and you aren't alone. God Bless You🕊🙏
When he put the new box on the table I immediately remembered the pain and discomfort of breaking in my boots. I bet this video was shot over a whole month. There’s no way I would have been dancing around in my boots the first week I got them, that would have hurt too bad.
Hi 37South - We thought long and hard about our channel name too. Great idea to tag some and share! We found your page a few days ago from a comment you made on GP outdoors. We would really appreciate if you would check our channel out if you get a minute! Thanks in advance.
My tools for my inch bag are a Bolo, a Kabar BK2, a Leatherman Surge and a silky Gomboy saw. I’m in the Philippine Jungle and can honestly say I have never used the BK2 or the silly saw and 99% of what I do is with the Bolo (machete) with a bit of occasional finer intricate work with the small Leatherman blade.
The tools for my INCH bag are a Tops Brakimo knife, Husqvarna 26" Multipurpose Forest Axe, Silky Big Boy 2000 XL folding saw, Leatherman Supertool 300 multi tool. I do have a SOG folding shovel and other tools like a draw knife, scotch eyed auger bit, 4 in hand, mora hook knife, files, etc. My EDC knife is a Kershaw Leek in OD Green with a Blackwash blade. I have Conibear 110's and 220's, gill net, fishing yoyo's, and fishing tackle. You're in the south, I live in east Tennessee and i think the southeastern United States is the best place to bug out to.
I ordered a pair of $600 Boots 2 days ago from Nick's,I haven't even gotten an emailed receipt haven't heard anything,I left 2 messages and have heard ziltch. I dont think they can handle what they are doing and am about to get my refund.
I ended up having a hard time breaking mine in. They are probably the most uncomfortable boots I’ve ever owned. I put them up actually and never wear them at all. Keep thinking g I’ll get them out and break them in right but they hurt my feet so bad I just can’t bare to do it!
@@bobsmith-ji2uh the whole process took a little over three months. I ended up canceling the try on pair due to me being impatient. I still consulted with someone at Nicks and had no issues with sizing when my boots came in. My wife helped me with the fit kit and we measured multiple times and took our time to make sure we got the measurements right. The fit it the best I've ever had in footwear. I have a more narrow foot. I opted for the 8 inch boot as I like that height for support. I use mine for casual wear and light work around the yard. I really like em and would do it all over. If you had to jog from one location to another for whatever reason, they wouldn't be great due to the heel, but arch support is amazing!
Steve EAB thanks. I actually submitted my measurements a couple of weeks ago. I’m also feeling impatient waiting for the try on pair but I’m going to fight the impulse to just skip it. Good info thanks for the response.
I listened to the audiobook on Audible and was really impressed that sometimes she thought she would die, and by how little her scrounging came up with. It felt better than listening to preppier or survival end of the world books because she didn’t have everything needed handed to her. She had to fight, work, beg, scrap, steal and trade for items she needed to sustain her life. I wish could listen to the entire series- but I enjoyed and recommend the book by Lou Cadle “Gray”
The price is cheaper in the long run vs off the shelf boots. Off the shelf boots are made to fit the average persons feet averagely, which may work, or may not. With custom boots you get a level of fit and comfort unmatched any other way. The price is because your fore fronting the cost of wearing the boots for 10 years up front, instead of the cost being spread out over ten years like off the shelf boots are. You can spend 900 to own a custom boot for 7-10 years, or in the same time frame spend 1300 on off the shelf boots that have a service life of 6 months to a year. Spend 250+ every year for 7 years, or 600 now and have a boot that has a service life of 10 years plus. Where I get 900 at is from Nicks Handmade boots, they explain it. In 7 years you have 500 starting off then a resole in 2 years for 100 that’s 600 then 2 years later another resole, for another 100 that’s 700 in 4 years, and then 2 years later another resole for another 100 that’s 800 for 6 years, then one year later a rebuild for 1/3 the cost of the boot or less, then starting all over again after the rebuild with all new leather and sole for another 7 years. So in a sense a hand made custom boot cost 100 dollars a year to own, vs an off the shelf boot that last a year if your lucky, will cost you anywhere from 150-250 a year to own, and replace year to year, or if your only getting 6 months out of off the shelf boots, then the cost doubles for off the shelf boots, and then your looking at 2600 dollars every 7 years, vs 900 every seven years for a custom handmade Nicks that’s gonna also save you money on medical bills, and meds for back pain, and time off work for back pain, because those off the shelf boots don’t give you the support you need to avoid all that. So the money saved in the long run is from the expenses of off the shelf boot replacements, plus medical expenses, that makes a Nicks boot look a lot more affordable than one thought. Two things a working person should never skimp on is his boots, and his bed cause if your not in one, you’re in the other.
Boy that was a mouthful..... The o my part you missed is where every time I put the boots on they hurt my feet so bad I wanna ant to slam my head into a brick wall! But I guess that’s just a small issue compared to all your awesome stats lol
Huntermre You can spin it any way you want but if they don't fit there worthless, buy 2 exact pair the same size their going to fit different and after a resole or rebuild you have less of a chance of them even being close to the same,
I should add I've bought whiteys since the early 80s and owned about every other pair of USA made boots in the meantime, when you get a pair of whites or nicks ect that fit life is good when they don't fit it's like 500 bucks to wipe your ass, no matter how satisfying it is ( handmade super duper instafamouse boots) put them on ebay for 50 bucks, douch walkers don't care if they fit just they look good on social media
37South And we are not all equal, or we would all be the same. We would all make the same amount of money etc... Green eyes are not equal to blue or brown eyes.
Matthew Stoddard money has nothin to do with the conversation fool! Move on and pester someone else with your nonsense before you get your butt spanked!
37South I literally don't understand what you are so disturbed over.? I stated a fact. Equal is synonemous to the same... We aren't all the same and God still loves us...
You need to watch the bearded Green Beret's video on making a 18 lb SHTF pack...he doesn't include a weapon, leaves that up to the circumstances, but his pack is probably the BEST setup I have seen, or thought of myself. Yes, we would all love to be able to fill a trailer with items, but what if you can't? What if doing so only places you, and your loved ones in more danger? No, I'll stay light, quick and silent....because I know, that when this day comes, and it will with the way our country is going, it will be more about getting out alive, staying alive and then meeting with like minded folks, banding together and build strength through numbers. None of us are going to make it alone, NONE. The one thing and the most important missing, is how will good people, know friend from foe? How will any of us know who we can trust. THAT is what is missing from ALL of our go bags, and SHTF bags....
This festival needs to be re-named. It is obviously not a Swiss festival. Swiss festivals showcase Swiss heritage. Polka Bands, Alphorns, Yodeling, Steinstossen. Sugarcreek, Ohio has an actual Swiss festival every September. Tell City should just call this a community festival. It looks like a nice festival, but the title is misleading.
There’s a high probability that if the hypothetical baby hadn’t been aborted it would’ve been eaten by the cult, or turned into a sex slave, or starved to death, or froze to death... would you have preferred to have read about that? Genuinely curious.
Brian Perkins yes I’m still kicking lol. My work schedule changed so that I have very little time off. I pretty much lost my entire winter and now my entire summer is gonna be lost as well. I have full intentions of getting back to making videos when things get back to normal but that’s not gonna be for a few more months as things stand at the moment. Thanks so much for checking on me, I appreciate it!!!
