Yeah! I had bought 4 of these at some point and ended up never using them. Today I refreshed my case and cooling situation, so I decided to try these. I can't run them past 500-550 RPM or the whine is unbearable. I hear it through my headset while watching a video at pretty good volume. Decided to not stop the shopping spree there, and got 4 Phanteks T30s. Hopefully I can at least reach 1000 RPM silent on those.
SOunds like those old plane engines at startup and idle and throttling up and down while parked on the ground lol but when it goes at high rpm speed then sounds like a jet engine xD
I bought these things to replace my CR360's stock fans. And wow. Not only do they run much quieter for better thermals, their 2000~ RPM is not even that loud and actually sounds nice! It's literally 2100-3000 that is very loud, and even that is unironically not that bad. Unfortunately I guess perhaps due to not enough airflow, limitation of the rad, or who knows, but going from 2000->3000RPM during R23 doesn't change temps at all, perhaps even makes them worse. When they're in low rpm, they are silent!
Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon. Welcome on board TF42. This is Captain Sparrow speaking and I have some information about our flight. Our flight time today will be 2 hrs and our estimated time of arrival in..local time.
This information is useful for those who are worried about fan noise. Guys, it's official. I bought 2 ARCTIC P12 PWM PT CO 4 rev. The revision version can be checked at the bottom of the box. And they don't rustle! Absolute silence. I thought there would be a distinctive sound due to the features of the signature, but there isn't one! This is the best solution for your computer! I put 2 such copies for the water cooling system and the temperature became 65 degrees in the stress test (5600 x).
I have two Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black.swap on the front of a Fractal Design R6 Tempered Glass - below 600 rpm absolute silence, from 600 rpm you can hear the fans coming out of the case.
the vacuum like noise heard at 00:48 is exactly my issue. From the fans on my Liquid Freezer III AOI, except the sound is not constant, it's going back and forth at differents speeds and it's driving me insane
