Hi, Do you recommend to slice the Scraper into a kind of a Wooden Scraper holder to handle the unit without any chance to get fingers burnt and to help in turned it over too ? Thanks

RU-vid is a great resource, but I have seen so many different videos on this and this is the one that made the most sense. There seem to be a lot of videos on how to do things wrong.

thanks for pointing out the fact that diamond stones are better for this than water stones because they will not get grooves worn in them. that is important.

I've sharpened a card scraper by hand for 30+ years. Tomorrow, I'm making one of your little jigs.......it's so sensible, and so obvious. I've no idea why I didn't come up with something like that myself.

Great look at the card scraper. A tip for after: instead of the abrasive pad, use an even finer abrasive at the end, a piece of a brown paper bag.
