Absolutely the best method and video on RU-vid! Im making the jigs and buying the stone and scraper now. Could you please recomend your Favorite Scraper?!?
This is by far, for me, the most comprehensive tutorial on the subject. I have failed miserably until now, but Sir, you have given me back my faith in me. Thanks!
Hi, Do you recommend to slice the Scraper into a kind of a Wooden Scraper holder to handle the unit without any chance to get fingers burnt and to help in turned it over too ? Thanks
RU-vid is a great resource, but I have seen so many different videos on this and this is the one that made the most sense. There seem to be a lot of videos on how to do things wrong.
thanks for pointing out the fact that diamond stones are better for this than water stones because they will not get grooves worn in them. that is important.
Novice me, thinking about getting into wood working: "De de deleededede, better buy a hand plane I gue.....WTF THEY COST HOW MUCH!!??" *faints and is removed from store by security.
I've sharpened a card scraper by hand for 30+ years. Tomorrow, I'm making one of your little jigs.......it's so sensible, and so obvious. I've no idea why I didn't come up with something like that myself.
