Im new to your channel, its very good and informative. Do you have any idea where I can find a new copy of the original Avalon Hill game , not necessarily new, used is fine. Thanks
Curious what difficulty level you are using, almost every combat is a crushing victory for you. Also I use the artillery to target the bunkers but you don’t seem to need your artillery much or your Stuka at all, I guess I’m doing something wrong… You are just now reaching Tobruk where things start going bad for me
Thank You! I have quite a few of these games and I never new about the lighter red tiles turning mine without moving over them. This looks like an early version, it’s much tougher now at least for me. If you don’t use the Italian units do you get more German divisions? I make good early progress in this but get clobbered about halfway through the map.
I feel I might be an expert by the time I finish the 1st Aubrey & Marturin book whilst consulting this, that is, if I ever get through it with such an insane abundance of info to get lost in haha.
@@epicfoxtabletop2165 Just found them. CH is selling the 2014 edition pre punched for a binder. Good enough for me. I would have never known about this if it weren't for you so thanks. I dreamt of something like this when I first started playing many, many moons ago.
Awesome module. I picked up the new e-rule book along with the pocket versions and BV, Yanks, RS and the last version of Blood and Jungle from Bounding Fire. Next up? The Brits and everything else I can get my hands on.
Anyone still playing? I'm building again for the third time. There was no Utube back in the day, so all this ASL stuff is glorious! The module I best remember opening was Paratrooper. I had a grandpa with the 101st during WWII and my cousin/Godfather was originally with the 101st but ended up going SF during Vietnam and was KIA. Couldn't wait to get my grubby fingers on that one. If you're still out there playing ASL, may the Lady of Battle Dice smile on you.
I see a lot of activity on the ASL Facebook pages. Also, they just did reprints of all their main modules, along with some hasl boxes. I managed to complete my module set just this month.
@@epicfoxtabletop2165 God Bless you! I'm working on those. I think I just posted that on another of your vids. I would trade my truck for the Watchtower hasl!
Well....this game is now charging on GMT P500 so it should be shipping out shortly (I am looking forward to it). You may see some comments as people view your videos (like me). Thank you for posting them.
I like to keep them based as battalions, which would make the bases in the video look like brigades or with the French eagles two regiments of 4 battalions, really cool video love your sets so far and great to learn about these version of minis I do love them (seen your comments as you say you meant brigade)
@@epicfoxtabletop2165 Glad your on the mend. I think I remember of FB post you made on that a while ago. ANyway... ONWARDS!!! Hope to see ya in the chats soon. ~K
The third rank was supposed to advance with the skirmishers to act as supports but it depend how the colonel translated the order. We’re they skirmish trained. Or did they advance and form a line to the skirmish line? However black powder doesn’t go much for how many men a base represents . I may have 2 x 45mm bases and 2 x 10mm bases. One for the grenadier company and One for the light company so that you can brigade yourself grenadiers together remove light company and replace them with a skirmish screen. A battalion has 6 companies and you have 48 figures in a battalion so Really yo should have 6 grenadiers and 6 light infantry per battalion if you are going to have a 3rd. Rank then you can have them on a separate base of 1 rank of figures then will have more skirmishers. Sorry :-(
It looks like Rising Sun 2021 has started shipping today. It was pulled off the 'preorder page' but is still on the 'on sale' page if you want to grab it at the reduced price.
@@epicfoxtabletop2165 It looks like Rising Sun was placed back on the preorder page. Probably a problem in the printing that has to be sent back to do over. I hope it doesn't cause too long of a delay. It went up April 2020 originally.
