This may have been two years ago now, but it's the most real, honest, and thorough interview about the original lineup of QR that has been done in decades.
Guitarist . Y and T , DaveMeneketti fan from the beginning. He is a great frontman, guitar player, singer . He has a ton of energy , positive outlook, fun guy. Thanks for being great Dave . I will never forget you soloing standing on the table where we were seated in San Francisco . No one is better.
I never liked this guy. He's the one who contributed the least to the sound of Ratt and he has the biggest mouth. He has no right criticizing any of the other guys in the band. Ratt wouldve been just as big of a band had it been anyone else in the band drumming. Heck, they probably wouldve been better off without Blotzer from the beginning.
Scott Rockenfield started the band, and they practiced in his parent’s house. It’s a shame that the 3 best members of the band are no longer a part of it.
2:40 Dave nailed it. The record industry changed the market. That's what they do. They stop promoting the scene in order to create a new one when they feel it has reached a full potential and jump on the new one to build it. Commercialism
I feel so fortunate to see Y&T several times through the '80s. They always put on a great show. A large group of my friends here in Sacramento saw Y&T has one of the best bands on the scene and still do.
One nignt you're platinum and then it seems like the next nignt your fans get all burned and suffocated and stuff and people blame your 15-foot 15-second pyro flames under 12-foot ceilings. But yeah. The most heartbreaking thing in his "career" was becoming a has-been. Weird parents died in the Station fire if it was fans becoming parents that made him a has-been. YOU HAD A ONE-HIT WONDER JACKASS! IN AN ERA WHEN WINGER AND NELSON SOLD OUT ARENAS! YOU ARE NOT A HAS-BEEN. YOU ARE A NEVER WERE!
Queensryche albums are so unique, spanning the spectrum of rock, from metal, progressive, alternative, and pop. I love every album now as my hearing tastes have matured over time. Too bad they couldn’t work out their differences but still an all time band
