Does the lid open with one finger or do you have to hold the bottom case down? I'm looking to replace a 2022 Yoga 7i and it opens perfectly with one finger.
glad i came across this video. Made me feel like my M1 Pro is more than good enough for me (I only do photo editing on lightroom and photoshop) and killed my FOMO
This one when it goes on sale: www.justjosh.tech/products/HP-Spectre-14-lxGhaASyTMda7Pj4D59B?config=2024-Core-Ultra-7-155H-16-GB-1-TB-14-Inches-Intel-Arc-Graphics&configID=dG9bfAkBVX3SZEOOLm9y
still rocking my Tuf A15 from 2020 with a 4800H/rtx 2060 still an excellent computer may upgrade to a Tuf next year with a 5060 or something but this one is aging very well.
Hey Josh (and anyone), I just bought this laptop today, and I am experiencing crazy heat issues. I am literally just on the web and it is like an oven. Any possible solutions?
TikTok people in their cars getting 10s of millions of subs... Then there’s Josh and his team putting weeks of work into high-quality content, just at 250K subs.. Really appreciate the effort guys! Love the reviews ✨
Josh, I would wait until Surface Laptop 13.8 at ,999 much better screen, performance and battery life. Haptic touchpad, great keyboard. Should be quieter and cooler. Only 256 storage, which you can fix down the line. If the claims are right for 100 dollars, more a no-brainer. They will also go on sale at some point at Best Buy and now you get a free 50 inch tv as a bonus.
So I work in audio engineering and sound design . Operating in protools, is it safe to say that you are saying i shouldn’t get the m3pro ? Would I fare better with the M2
I enjoy watching your videos regardless of whether you deliver relevant info upfront, or whether I’m looking for a laptop to buy. I just appreciate well put together content which you deliver. Thanks for helping people make informed decisions!
I would love to see you start doing hinge teardowns... sorta like a jerryrig thing, but exposing hinge issues. you're the only trustworthy tech tuber on youtube. this could even provoke companies to start making hinge systems better. and by hinge, I don't just mean the actual hinge, but rather the whole system... ik usually the plastic parts that the hinges are attached to are the things the fail over time due to it being plastic. if you started exposing what laptops have good and bad hinges.. ppl could make better purchasing decisions and the companies with better hinges would be rewarded and hopefully others would follow. hinges always seem to be the easiest planned obsolescence strat
Man, I have a hard time keeping up with all the information and graphs you are spitting out in your videos at such a fast pace and going back and forth between different models, it would be nice if you slowed it down a little bit, but maybe I’m just slow.
I’ve been on the lookout for a somewhat budget laptop (<1000 USD) but am constantly expanding my budget due to terrible deals. The prices outside of the US are terrible and sometimes twice as expensive. Any help please? Battery life is important! I found a Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5 Gen 9 14" for ~ 1300 USD. - Ryzen 7 8845HS - 32 GB LPDDR5X - 6 400MHz (soldered) - 1TB SSD M.2 2242 PCIe Gen4 TLC - 2,8K (2 880 × 1 800), OLED, reflective, no touchscreen, HDR 500, 100 % DCI-P3, 400 nits, 120 Hz - 4-cell Li-polymer battery 84 Wh - Wi-Fi 6E 2 × 2 AX and Bluetooth® 5.1 or higher Is it worth it or should I wait for another deal? Please help!!
Hi Josh, love your channel, content of exceptional value. I just have to say, I think you need to lose references to your mother by now - they make you look childish. 🙂
Intel is really doing a hard work now, they've released Lunar Lake now, it make sense since AMD is growing pretty fast as well and all of sudden Snapdragon X Ellite appears 😂
ASUS offer seemingly good bang for your bucks but the term “you get what you pay for” is applicable here as they are at the lower end of mid-range in quality and ability. They will appeal to people chasing RAM and SSD numbers, but in the end you would be better off in the long run to buy better mid-range or premium at an extra cost, if you can. For example, I got a refurb MB Air M2 15-inch base model for £700 ($600) that only had a six battery count.
Hey Josh, are you going to review the new Yoga Pro 7i? It comes with the Ultra core 7 155h, RTX 4050, 32gb soddered ram, all in a sleek and portable chassis. It's also attractive for its price, and i (think) it's screen is brighter. I have seen NOONE review this unit so far.
Got an older Model with 12700h, Oled and 16gigs for 699 two years ago. It's not perfect, but damn good value. Seems to be true for the newer models as well.
We have spent a ton of time on Asus laptops, more than most human beings. We are not finding any issues with Asus quality, other than the ones that we bring up in our videos. In fact, this video was edited on the Asus Strix Scar 18
So because I’m not having an issue means that it doesn’t exist? Been countless examples and evidence of shady practices by Asus due to their warranty due to quality control problem on motherboards and hand helds. Does sound like anecdotal evidence rather than fact checking if actual issue exist to begin with?
Out of the driver issues mentioned at the end, one stuck out to me: the display not waking up from sleep. I am convinced this is a Windows issue, as I have this exact same issue with my Dell XPS 15 9530 base model (Intel Arc, not Nvidia graphics)
Been waiting for this review from Josh! Thanks! Not getting this one for sure. On paper, it looked appealing with all the specs, ports (especially coming with a MicroSD slot) and price point, but sounds like looks can be deceiving.
!!I recently sold some of my long-term position and currently sitting on about 250k, do you think Nvidia is a good buy right now or I have I missed out on a crucial buy period, any good stock recommendation on great performing stocks will be appreciated.
I managed to grow a nest egg of around 120k to over a Million. I'm especially grateful to Adviser Bruce Murdock, for his expertise and exposure to different areas of the market.
My colleagues had a good laugh at me when I told them I started my journey with $50k capital and how I accumulated over 6 figures within a span of 7 months. They never believed me until I pulled out my P&L. I know that learning the ins and outs of the market isn't for everyone, that's why personally, Bruce Murdock oversees my investments.
Without a doubt! Bruce Murdock is a trader who goes above and beyond. he has an exceptional skill for analyzing market movements and spotting profitable opportunities. His strategies are meticulously crafted based on thorough research and years of practical experience.
The Darter is better. It has two RAM slots and doesn't have a broken arrow key layout. But yeah, I would like to see more Linux laptop coverage, given that almost all OEMs don't seem to offer Linux support offically.
Waiting for the Snapdragon X & CoPilot+ Laptop reviews in comparison with Apple M4 Chip Review. Only If you are planning to make it, This is only a suggestion, I won’t Force you to make it lol.
Given the reports of their shoddy customer service, it would feel like buying any made by ASUS is buying something with zero support and is therefore a complete gamble.
what is your opinion on the XMG core 15 it's a really interesting laptop and I do not see many reviews on it or the other brands who do the same laptop
Not a single one of asus vivobooks last upto warranty time period. I am planning to buy a laptop. Can chat tell me is this the same case with zenbooks too?
