Hi, my name is Jeff. I have been buying and building cars since 2005. Along the years I have owned over 190 vehicles and have encountered many problems along the way.
This channel is a place for me to share some of the things I have learned along the way and hopefully expand your knowledge and capabilities with your own vehicles and projects.

Bro omg! I kept on getting a misfire code and I have replaced my spark plugs, ignition coils only to find out that I connected the wires wrong. Bro thank you so much!!! I thought I had damaged valves or something.
For anyone watching: get the allen bolts for the gallery plates. The regular phillips head screws really wanna strip. It's 10 bucks for 21 of em from CZP and worth it for that price.
Picked up another Z recently and am doing this job again. The worst part is just scraping off all the damn RTV from the mating surfaces imo. Anyways back here just to check my work. Thanks for the nearly perfect videos
Thanks very much for making this video. I had no clue that the non-ferrous pilot bushing is installed into the crankshaft, not in the flywheel. Oh, and btw, the oillite is bronze, not brass as you said.
I just did my valve covers and then after putting everything back on I noticed it wasn’t turning on so then I check it again fix the issue and now my car sounds wierd and has po300 . I check the code readers app and it said valve cover so I’m not sure what I can be but I check the coil packs and they all look plug in right
So with an OE Nissan bushing it requires no lube? Not even a little motor oil on the input shaft to aid in transmission install? Just picked up a bushing st my local dealership, $11.
on a side note APR had my old A5 a monster with stage 3 ko4 but this retails for 600 dollars doesn't seem like 600 dollar part but oh well I transferred it from my A5 to my A4
I have a 2008 350z and cannot find the yaw sensor under the center console, is there any other place it would be? Also what models of a 2008 350z come with VDC?
Any search tips on where to find a dio 1 headset wiring harness? When you say headset harness not the entire harness I found a dio headset harness on buyee but its the entire thing. Would it be the af18 upper harness ?
Wish I knew this last weekend at slushfest in Colorado, we couldn’t get the car sideways because of the traction control was still engaged gonna try this and see if it works
@@yo-ly5egI completely forgot to reply to this, I remembered it just now so yeah, anyways it worked great just snipped the fuses like he said and now I can send it no problem
Thanks ive been searching for info on this as theres not alot of videos about window replacements for the 350s.The window guy is only charging $175 but i Don't think he knows how much work and how delicate you have to be with these A pillars. A new A-pillar from Z1 are $569 each and this really helped me to make the decision and know how to take them off myself before sending it off to the window guy. I would rather be responsible for my own mistakes. And i have some epoxy on hand in case I break any clips.
You unironically just saved my job. Thank you I was trying to find a photo for so long. I had 6 and 4 swapped and was at a loss after the valve cover. She’s not misfiring anymore but still sounds different but at least I can get to work. Thank you
Interesting video ! I haven't seen many videos of stock sr20dets having changed oem turbos like from factory. Also I have one question, without the OEM turbo on the s13 with sr20det how much power it makes ?
I just pick up a 2008 Infiniti ex35 the had had 3 mechanic or more mechanics and the me working on it and could figure it out until today. The misfires had been happening so long that actually 4 catalytic converters destroyed burning so much raw fuel that I spent yesterday removing them, cutting them open and removing the guts and welding the cases back together, figuring the clear exhaust would eliminate the backfire. New coil pack and plugs I went out when I saw this video last night and today again because the harnesses are different and I couldn't see the difference. But I told my friend helping do a compression check. Sure enough. On this cylinders 1 & 3 it looked as if it would fit better if switched. So we back tracked, reinstalled plenum for the 6th or 7th time, turned the key and sure enough no more backfire, no CEL flashing and pretty fast rolling down the street. Now I can get 60 day tags for a just bought for $700. 119k on the odometer. Awesome, dude my ol' lady loves it. Best video on hereto me.😃😄😁😆
Do you have a distinct whine coming from the rear as you increase speed. I was thinking solid subframe and differential bushings from SPL will I get this whine. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cOSiVcOsEjU.html The time frame where I hear it start is at 15 seconds in and starts at 30mph. Will I have to deal with this?
At some point I started noticing whine. I think it became very noticeable after putting in subframe collars and removing the trunk plastic. I first put in solid diff bushings, and they definitely made a sound when accelerating. You'll probably get noise from solid bushings, but I wouldn't be bothered by it even if I had to daily. Mine is mainly a track car so it wasn't a big deal for me.
