This is a display of the stupidity that exists in the hardcore PvP community. You look at 2 games that lose 66% of thier player base in the first 3 months and then make a bunch of changes to cater more to casual players then become successful. Then say Josh is wrong. 😂😂😂 Then the second thing you talk about is how you can have your cake and eat it too. By buying worse gear and using that instead of the best stuff. Again this is exactly what Josh was talking about. You can't have have your cake and eat it too. Then you point out the power gap and how it's created. Then suggest the worst finger thing. Once human planned on doing server wipes every 6 months. 2 days after it launch they changed that, because no one liked it. 😂😂😂 I mean who could have predicted doing something more extreme would piss people off even more. And you end with another display of stupidity. People are imagining themselves beating other people and when they lose they get mad and leave. That's what he's saying. Which is pretty obvious when you actually listen to what he's saying and put it togeather.
I have played it for over 45 hours and its actually very good. It's a true Star Wars experience. The Acolyte killed Star Wars and the game is suffering from it.
actually we want JTL while having the pre CU. I mean most of us that were there from the beginning left when NGE came out because the CU annoyed us. But we literally told them when they polled us that if they went that path we would leave. And thats what wind up killing Live
I don't know how the first lie even gets started, there have been so many open world star wars games at this point its ridiculous, even if where talking new canon Fallen Order and Survivor were open world.
I hope some server could join all pkanets we have and all fan made planets, with all fan made species and 11 ABY where you could train to be a jedi with Luke Skywalker in Yavin 4 or train to be a Sith in Moraband with Darth Krayt. More options in architecture, quality of life and etc...
George Sanger's question at 2:19:23 had my jaw drop! I didn't realize this was such a shared experience, but I can relate to this so well. I had early memories of The 7th Guest where my father and older sisters had played it in my too-young-to-really-understand presence, and unfortunately, the CD had worn out completely by the time I was exploring PC games on my own so I had never really truly experienced it myself. Cut to years later and I'm getting my first tattoo, and for some reason I'm envisioning a skull with a brain sticking out of it... It's playful and spooky and fun. I get it permanently etched into my skin. Something about my aesthetic and design sensibilities had just simply developed in such a way that it pointed me in that direction. Later that year I have an inkling to get into The 7th Guest since I had vivid memories of that foyer staircase and the music, and lo and behold, I've realized I essentially had THE PUZZLE ICON from The 7th Guest tattooed on my body, and even the exact angle the skull is facing is accurate!! It's amazing that this game had planted such a seed deep in the recesses of my memory, simply through the impression it had through bonding experiences when I was barely cognizant! It's really a special sort of game for that. Like the one book on a trick bookcase that unlocks a secret passage...
@TheReslMulli I am not 100% certain since I just followed this video's advice to get my new Jedi toon going, however, I noticed it is the icon for 'Saber Shackle' which gives the Jedi a chance to root or snare an opponent when using Force Throw. I made sure to restart the game after spending the exp points and there was still no Saber Shackle icon in the command options. I'm speculating that it must now just be a passive ability that just works with force throw. I plan to move Force Throw from the upper slot 4 spot and move it into the 1st bottom slot then make that the opening attack. If it never seems to snare or root an opponent, I might reset points once more to get back the 3 points and try something else.
100% accurate man - when I heard the statement - “The First Star Wars open world game” - I was like uhhh?!?!? Not only was SWG was the first open world but the first MULTI world open world Star Wars game. Same with faction stuff, not only that SWG had like 50-100 factions that you could gain or lose rep on.
This is not the first time Disney Starwars lied about being the first at something, and I doubt it’ll be the last. Battlefront 2 EA is not the first Imperial Campaign, TIE Fighter is. Andor is not the first Spy Thriller, Imperial Agent Story (swtor) is. And the amount of people claiming SWG doesn’t count as an open world is an exercise of willful ignorance on their part. It’s like claiming GTA Online doesn’t count as an open world because multiple players are on the same map.
Infernal machine is the only indiana Jones game I've played and completed and I can't afford to play any of the others but I enjoyed this video though.

SWG is still the most sandbox/open world SW game overall. To be honest though, I am betting even Swtor is closer than Outlaws. Yes it is an open zone game, but it has so many zones. I don't think another SW game let's you visit as much of the galaxy at it does. Some of the planets are freaking huge to boot. Frankly I am planning to pick it up after it's price has way dropped. Not in a hurry.

Are what's up with the gaming world ,I wanted sw outlaws to be a really good game but when you look at the quality of new games like bm wukong for only "£60 that sets a high bar that no AAA GAMES are Trying to match, and when you start trying to calk us all out as haters 'Guess what! You end up turning us into haters the same way ubisoft is calling constructive criticism as 'racists ,bigots, haters,white gamers, 'ALL because we're trying to get the game "Not! To be a failure, so when I come across 'DONUTS! Like you who are 'Making the situation much worse I will Call you out every time as another gaming website that should be avoided 'WHY because you are OUTRIGHT Lying about a broken game, with bugger all longterm playability, how long till you get bored with a stupid slap! And a blaster that keeps overheating, outside of missions gets boring fast and the missions are so crap and boring, the Ai is totally broken, unrealistic gameplay, how can she keep knocking out stormtroopers in full armour with a Slap & a punch, even a man wouldn't be able to do this, and they don't even see her until she's right next to her then they start running around like headless chickens shooting everything but her ,admittedly it's probably not like that all the way through 'OR is it! Because if you're putting out your gameplay previous wouldn't you want to show your best clips, and your telling me that was there best, and don't get me started on that RIDICULOUS PRICE! And then there panicking over pre-orders, and YOU! Would rather start on us gamers and make stupid statements like LISTEN it was made by another company don't blame ubisoft! Well it's still their game they still have to ok the game and say if it's worthy to be a ubisoft game. The question is how do we define an open world game, if we talk about single players games then yeah sure, all the other open world games were multi player online games
That's a totally fair point. I think Outlaws may be the closest thing in SW single player games. However, it's still more of an open zone as you only get to go to I think 4 or 5 planets. It's not like No Man's Sky or even Starfield (for all it's faults) where you can go just about anywhere your ship can get to.
SWG was way ahead of it's time on a lot of things, even in the NGE. while emu's are fun for nostalgia i hope one day we get a true remaster/remake of swg with all of it's possibilities.
@@AdventureGameHotspot i see, but we've had swg clone mmos in the past too that didnt exactly make the cut. Secret World is what comes to mind in that regard. Secret World was labeled to be the "swg spiritual successor" when it was coming out all those years ago. I played some of that and it didnt feel that way at all. imo the only successor to a SWG mmo would be SWG itself. it has to be open world, it has to be star wars, and it has to be a sandbox. I wouldnt mind a "main story" like we have in swtor or final fantasy 14. mmo "main stories" have come a long way since those first mmos in the late 90s/early 2000s. but no one is gonna make a game like that now because gaming and style of gaming has evolved. look at final fantasy 7 and it's remake for example. FF7 is a cult classic and people still love and play it today. Square Enix did an amazing job remaking it in Final fantasy 7 Remake/Rebirth, but it's two different styles of gameplay. and the kotor remake i imagine, if it had gone to a proper company and not a upscaling pc porting startup company (Asyper), wouldve been the same. in conclusion: It's old, repetitive, and predictable now but swg is truly in a league of its own and nothing will come close to it. I doubt anything developed today will come close to it and that's ok cuz gaming is just different now.
Regardless of what the majority of people actually think of this game (hard to say as Black Myth: Wukong is the game of the moment), I think we can safely say you didn't receive a free trip to Disneyland.
SWG was ahead of its time. I played on Scylla server and unlocked one of the first Jedi. I was really hoping Outlaws would be more like that game, remastered with updated canon.
I miss those days so much, I was on Ahazi and Sunrunner (I can’t remember the exact name). Space combat was ahead of its times PvP was awesome Quests were amazing Immersion was 100/100
Ultimately, I wanted to like Legends, but Legends is post CU. This means, for me at least, it takes away everything that makes SWG special. It's basically a generic MMORPG with 9 uncustomizable classes at that point. I might as well play WoW, FFXIV, or hell, SWTOR. Not to say Pre CU isn't without it's issues. To put it lightly, it was developed by a team that was a genius at creating a sandbox environment and level system, but horrible at making actual balanced content and gear. It was magical when the combat system didn't have a meta. But once it did, you could make a character that can solo farm mobs that were intended to be brought down from a raid, and get the best weapons that way. And then everyone had a character like that, and it just makes it so 90% of the professions are useless, and ruins the point of the game.
@@marcokuhner2445 I’m not a fan of them. I’ve made quite a few articles and videos about them. I enjoyed Whispered World and the night of the Rabbit well enough, but Deponia series was icky, IMO

The Star Wars fan base has become absolutely toxic. You could argue the stability I’m them has been slipping since the Prequels (when “fans” all but bullying child actor Jake Lloyd out of acting) or were so mean to Ahmed Best (who played Jar Jar) he contemplated ending his life. But that is almost tame to,how current fans are that are in a mad, blind, rage lust over ANYTHING that is Starwars because it’s not “their” Starwars. It vile and unhinged and honestly crazy people are spreading this much mass hate over fictional characters. The Critical Drinker and Nerdrotic sadly have their incel acolytes (no pun intended) and rage bait Star Wars content seems to do well on RU-vid.
Honestly I'd just like some Humongous style adventure games based on cartoons. They don't have to be as simple as Humongous but the style where each room is a different angle and the animation is unique to that room, lot of things to click on and fun dialog, it'd be like playing an episode of a cartoon.
Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Dune (already done pretty well in first-person by Dune 1), Get Smart, Clash of the Titans ’81, Ninja Turtles (maybe you play as Zak, a 14/15-year-old bike-riding kid from Turtles ’87), Beetlejuice, Willy Wonka ’71. These are all ones that I would love to see.
I really like the Ninja Turtles idea, but I think it should be a Quest for Glory style hybrid to keep some form of combat as something core to the concept, or have alternate solutions of stealth mechanics. That Beetlejuice idea is all kinds of alluring - not sure how ghost inventory works, but all sorts to explore further of the creepy Neitherworld. Totally down for another Blade Runner. Doom would be a challenge as an adventure, but it's a cool idea. Ditto for Nightmare on Elm Street. Middle Earth and Dune and Harry Potter would make great Adventure Game settings, it would be hard to make them follow the books directly, but tangential stories, absolutely!
@@AdventureGameHotspot Maybe by going light on the demons and set it more on dealing with the Mars scientists who are knocking on the door to hell. Have reality bleed away, like it does in Trilby's Notes, and have occasional danger situations that you solve with Clock Tower style puzzles?
