The most exciting survival horror game is finally here BUT... 

Double A is a-okay with me.

I'm stoked for this, I have the deluxe edition preordered. The AA complaints I see in comment sections is really disappointing. The game looks quality as can be for me.

Yep you've hit the nail on the head here-theres something making me wait until I read the reviews before buying and that's what it is-the visuals arnt quite up to top standards and it is cause we've been spoiled by great graphics. That doesn't necessarily make it a bad game and I do hope it reviews well. That monster with the little thin legs looks a bit wrong too. I do like survival horror so il be interested to see how it turns out.

I actually enjoyed The New Nightmare quite a lot when it first came out on the DC. It had its issues (endless spawning enemies and limited resources don't really mesh well together), but the visuals and the spooky atmosphere really did it for me. Truth be told, I was young and my standards weren't particularly high back then. As for the new entry, I enjoy horror games and like what I've seen so far. I hope it turns out well, as the industry needs more mid-tier games.

Given how mishandled and mismanaged the Alone in the Dark series has been in it's past 30+ years of existence (especially when the 2008 game & 2015 Illumination nearly killed the series), it's a miracle a new and much better game still got made. This 2024 remake / reboot / re-imagining pays homage and is very faithful & respectful to the 1992 classic original's spirit and flavor with modern gameplay & graphics. I've finished the game 7 times (4 as Edward, 3 as Emily), and the game's story, characters, atmosphere & 1920s rural Gothic noir setting are very alluring and engaging. Not overly familiar with either David Harbour or Jodie Comer, but they played their respective protagonist roles brilliantly. Combat is no doubt inferior when compared to recent Resident Evil games, but still serviceable and enjoyable. Graphics and animation is often ridiculed as "PS3-era" quality, which I don't see as a negative given this is a "AA" game with far less budget compared to recent Resident Evil games or Alan Wake 2, and many games for the PS2 and PS3 eras still look great even now. Another criticism I find odd is the game being "too short", when majority of action or survival horror games tend to clock between 6-12 hours of story & gameplay. I spent 8 hours as Edward and just under 7 hours as Emily in most of my playthroughs. So it was time well spent. It's truly a pleasant surprise to see THQ Nordic revive this long forgotten franchise, especially it being the pioneer of survival horror games. The newest game does a lot of things right despite the glaring flaws, that it's provided a solid modern foundation in reviving the series going forward. I feel optimistic it will grow an audience in due time, since many gamers are always on the look out for an alternative to Resident Evil, and Alone in the Dark 2024 will deliver on that craving. It's just wonderful to see Alone in the Dark back with a great game that will serve as an ideal entry point for newcomers to the series.

That may be true but Amensia and Soma. Personally i don't care at all from th start about graphics. It looks decent. I care about the story, how the characters are build, sound and atmosphere. I admit i am super excited but i have faith in it. Plus Soma and Amnesia were 10/10. Memorable journeys

I do believe you are right. The graphic whores will be in an uproar lol. But gaming should never be about graphical fidelity over the game itself. If it's beautiful, but not scary or anything, who cares lol. I just hope it delivers.

Looks fine to me! I may be in the minority these days, but as a gamer who has been playing adventure games since computer gaming began, and that is before home computing began - I remember playing ZORK on mini computers, I am not a fan of ultra realistic graphics. If I want to watch something with live actors, or that looks it is happening in the real world, I'll watch a movie. I would put this on my list of games to look for this year.

This looks great to me. The graphics and animations do look a bit dated, but it's honestly giving me some early Silent Hill vibes, which is awesome. This wasn't on my radar, but now it is! Thanks for the heads up!

!I found the demo/prologue to be so-so, but they definitely got the mood/setting right, even if that "House in New Orleans" bit in this Trailer was very "Aunt Rhody RE7" trailer like - but if you want to copy, then copying RE7 is a great idea.. It's very likely going to be the best AitD game since The New Nightmare, and really, that's perfectly fine. So yeah, I'm cautiously optimistic!

Pretty much knew the game was gonna be garbage just wait for a sale or save your money for an actual game that you’re going to enjoy

I preordered and will have fun. I'm not a graphics whore and still own a big CRT tv which I use to play the first 4 Silent Hill games on my PS2. I was playing some Silent Hill 3 last night and the graphics on this new game and controls will be good to me.

I'm really excited for this game as a horror fan also David Harbour is a great underrated actor in my opinion and can't wait to play as him I pre-order the deluxe edition so I'm ready for the 20th just waiting on reviews first!

I'm really excited about this game, but I'm also a huge fan of the 'Hyperdimension Neptunia' series. I know better than to get my expectations really high.

I really hope this game is good but something is telling me not to preorder jist yet. Don't get me wrong I'm one of the 1% who liked the 360 version but with this I just don't know
