On this channel I’m focused on the intermediate player. Someone who already knows some chords and scales, and wants to take it to the next level! I have been playing guitar for many years. I would like to pass on my knowledge of guitar playing and the use of electric guitar equipment. I encourage viewers to ask questions and to give me ideas for my videos.
Just wondering where you been all my life? I’m blessed to find you. And thankful for sharing your gift to us. I’m one of your biggest fans now. You have a really nice teaching style and I’m learning each time I watch your videos and play with my guitar.
Great video once again, Rusty. You’ve given us a lot of great material to work on. Your advice helps me slowly become a better player. I appreciate the effort you put into imparting your knowledge. Thank you, Steve
Thanks Rusty. My obvious mistake in my early learning efforts, has been trying too hard. That is, trying too hard to play someone else’s music. What you demonstrate in all your videos, is, stuff them, just play what sounds good to myself, anything, anything random. Who cares? No one. Just PLAY. Cheers Rusty.
Time is what’s stopping me. I work an average 60 hrs a week. Between your 2 channels im usually at least 1 video behind. Retention is so much harder when you don’t play regularly. But…your videos have been the most inspiring in the almost 10 yrs I’ve been on RU-vid. I thank you for that. Have a great week Rusty!
Fantastic lesson as usual, happy for the less usual side of it being targeted at players like myself lower down the skill level ladder. Thank you for sharing your experience knowledge and passion with those of us trying to make music. BEST AND PEACE
Rhythm and timing isn’t always an exact science. It’s a feel thing. I never learned by counting the beats and measures. I hope you can have some fun with this. Thanks a lot Chuck.👍
@@rustysguitar1 I get in trouble with anything not "even". Trying to strum You'll Accompany Me or Old Time Rock and Roll is beyond my skills......for now. I am not quitting. BEST AND PEACE, THANK YOU AGAIN
What is stopping me from being a better player? Me! I am my worst enemy, but thanks to you, Rusty, I have greatly improved! I am less of a scale runner or riff lord and more of a musician.
Well I haven’t got that much time to practice daily , but I do jam a lot and write songs , so that’s my routine .. just finding a good groove and lock into this … playing licks , fills and thrills and all Kinda stuff that brings on the magic…
Rusty: I watch quite a few guitar-oriented videos on RU-vid. I must say that I get more useful techniques from yours than from anywhere else. Thanks for all the good information.
One good thing to do is pit a Bluetooth speaker in your amp. Just play led Zeppelin, black dog, and pretend its you playing. Its one of my fav guitar tricks.
@@rustysguitar1 You're very welcome, Sir. I'm monumentally grateful for all you share with us - simply put - I'm a much better guitarist for your tuition and guidance.
