Hello, and welcome! My name is Jason Tomaric, and I'm a Los Angeles-based filmmaker. I've spent the past several years working with over 150 Academy Award and Emmy-winning filmmakers to help you learn from their knowledge and experiences. The result is FilmSkills.com, an online film school that takes you through every step of the filmmaking process. With over 110 hours of video content, thousands of illustrated articles, and hundreds of downloadable files, you will learn the skills and techniques from the masters for a fraction of the price of film school.
Speaking of film schools, over 125 of them - including UCLA, Yale, NYU, Emerson College, Full Sail, and Columbia College Chicago - use FilmSkills in the classroom. I'm excited to take you inside the industry and teach you how to improve your skills, get started in the industry, and learn the skills to succeed.
Enjoy!

Thanks for making this educative video. But i have a question. So in this situation, that means the first performer has to study the lines of the other performer so he can appropriately respond to those lines without the other performer actually saying his lines?
👍🏻 “Light and shadow of the filmmaker!” 🎥 Very educational post! When I imagine that EVERY scene has to be prepared so intensively, I literally get dizzy. Luckily, my (micro) projects usually only have one or two perspectives. But I'm thinking about whether I shouldn't shed more (better) light on the matter. ☀️
Sincerely speaking I can't really explain you are too much ❤❤❤ already Getting my script ready hoping to make it a film when i am financially stable keep making my dream 😊❤
This is amazing stuff! I love the way you made highlights and shadows for that 100 million dollar cinema look. The actress acting and the sound makes it all come together like magic!
This is fantastic! But I'm confused, it says it's "Part I" but it's a year old and there are no other parts on the channel. Is the idea that parts 2, 3, 4 etc. are paid only and on the site? But there's no link to where they would specifically be. Or will the further parts come out here later? Or has the channel just stopped producing RU-vid content since this is currently the newest video and it's a year old? It's fantastic content, I'm just confused on how to learn more.
I wanted to say this video has given me more tips about the tech stuff ! than most video's will ever give, cause we all know after a few video's about what the basics are of green screen and blue, these are the tips i never knew until i watched this ! 1:19 2:38 10:15
