When I returned the next day the camera overlay option isn't selectable. How do I save the calibration so I can use the camera or do we need to to this calibration every time? I did right click on the camera window and import file option showed up. I was able to title the file and save it, and now I can't find it. What am I doing wrong. So frustrating.
Let me guess, he's going to say "NEVER, EVER CUT PVC! IT PRODUCES CHLORINE GAS!!"... well folks, while it's not a good idea to hot box that shit, you can cut it if it's not done frequently and you have good exhaust fans blowing to the outside... If you're getting poisoned you'll fucking notice, it's disgusting, you'll notice your throat and lips "feeling dry" and it'll sting your boogers as if someone threw a vunch of salt up your nose ... Anyway, you're not gonna die, but it's not a good idea to be exposed to it for extended periods of time, you'll get short breath and you'll stink like a school bathroom that's under industrial grade cleaning, likewith acids and other chemicals with skulls and bones on their containers, yet somehow the cleaning crew in still alive!
Follow the workflow to work out the best settings. Each laser is different, most of the settings they give you are a guideline. I also do this test with new batches of material to get the most out of laser. 👍
Lo que falta es crear un software libre, asi la comunidad puede hacer muchas mejoras como lo que sucedió con blender que es de los mejores para modelado 3d y es gratis
OK Great video but what if you have several sheets of material to run how do you get it to continue after placing in your new sheet and pick up from where it finished on the last sheet?
They state it isn't a subscription, but it is, because you have to pay an annual fee in order to keep it up to date, which is a subscription. If you don't buy a new licence every year then you don't get updates.
You have a 3d printer or several it looks like, pop into AutoCAD and design a bracket to fit the curved part of the laser frame and print it to mount the camera or theres many other ways that you could do9 this. Why not just 3d print a whole mount to attach it to the printer, something lighter then the arm they give you thats compact. If it were me id mount the camera right next to the Diode head on a 3d printed mount. As Engineers and Makers this is the whole point to what we do, Innovate, design, build and work the problem. Great video !!
Thanks Kelly, glad you enjoyed the video. You are correct that I have access to a number of Maker tools, but given that this is a review of an item thats "off the shelf", I believe its the responsibility to share functionality of the item out of the box, instead of just trying to "sell "the product. That said, if you and others are interested in side projects that would allow you to expand on what the base model provides, let me know ;)
hello great video. i have a problem with neje 3 + mac ios 13 + lightburn (trial). I designed a circle but the final result is ouval. what should I do to setting this ? thanks
Very nice walk-through and tutorial. I like how you showed the strengths of both pieces of software. I'm going to start with xCS, then jump to Lightburn so I can use some of the great tutorials that are all over your channel. Thanks!
Incredibly informative video on the xtool, for those looking to use lightburn or creative space this is without a doubt an important video to watch, however because this video neither featured a red panda nor a cool glass of ovaltine, i'm going to have to rate this video a 0 out of 10.
Hi Gil, great comparison. I probably will never own a Xtool, but I agree especially beginnerswill choose Creative Space. Lightburn can be a bit overwhelming to new users and it does cost money off course.
Interesting and almost what I was researching for. I have a project where only one part can be lasered at a time as it needs to be held in a rotating chuck. Would love the serial # to increase with every press of the foot pedal or every firing sequence each time a new part is loaded. thanks
60$ is a lot of money depending on the country you live in... I think if it was cheaper or a light version with basic for less money we would not be talking about that... I really like that, but after my trail ends I cant afford that... so probably I will try inkscape with gcode plugin, it is not as easy as lightburn, but at least it is opensource and seems to work...
Thank you for doing this, and it looks like good information, but it doesn't appear to be for someone first trying to figure out how to start at the beginning with setting up and using a library. This takes off with your library already set up. Thanks again, anyway.
since new lightburn update, on my sculpfun s9, got the mounted camera for it, now it doesnt recognise it at all. any suggestions would be greatful. thanks
The more I learn about Lightburn, the more amazed I am. It has features that some of my [shall remain nameless] graphics programs don't have. Great demo as always, thanks for taking the time. Still trying to catch one of your live streams.
Yo lo uso abiertamente con crack asi de claro y no tengo limitaciones, ni mensaje alguno.... eso si no puedo actualizar y tengo sus carpetas en antivirus para que dea excepcion y no me detecte como virus 😂😂😂😂 👍
Thanks so much, straight forward so a newbie can follow along your steps. A couple other vids on this topic ended up going off on long tangents, ended up more confused. Subscribed and following. Thanks again!
