I'm going to start a dandelion farm in my yard if they are that valuable... They look like hell, but I will pick em and sell em and get rich.. how much are you willing to pay per Pound??? When I see people selling them I'll believe that they are valuable then. So pay up old man.. prove your point 😂
Yes, and pastured hens should be left alone during this "bird flu" craze. Thanks for pointing this out, Stefan, it's about time we had a sea change we need at this point to see real positive change.
I have a sour cherry tree and a plum tree with three different cultivars on it and I'm buying an apple tree that also has three cultivars on it. And my fruit bushes have many different culitvars next to them, around them.
Yeah, we've had a black locust on one end of a row and now a honey locust recently transplanted on the other end of that row. But the fruit trees in between are old, certainly there's something i can do to reinvigorate the oldies to produce like newbies with their good old varieties? We're also on the edge of an inland temporate rainforest, if only we could stop the clearcut logging, which is an assault on our continental fresh water reserves stored.
Valuable information to me, as I grow my little permaculture gardens & maintain my 5 mature apple trees! Thanks for sharing! Hugs from Alberta & blessings to all 🤗🇨🇦
You are doing a good job teaching people, not to interfere with nature too much. Nature works perfectly, if we can find the balance. Your long grass, helps with keeping water there. Nature works best, when all the pieces or parts are in place! This you know, because by spraying, people are removing some of the links & parts that nature needs to work properly. Thank You, for helping people to understand how nature works. 😁🇬🇧
The previous owner of my home put loads of gravel on the clay to walk on without slipping. I have been sifting it out. Wood chips work better to make non slip paths, and I can still get a shovel in at any time of year. Even if you do trip and fall, wood chipped pathways are the best place to land, and trees and shrubs can use the new soil beneath them.
I think of the wood chips as a liquid: small fibers are continuously breaking down and flowing off the chips, falling down to meet the earth and being digested. Meanwhile, the largest wood chips float on top of the smaller particles beneath them. On the surface, it may look like nothing is happening, but the flow is happening continuously in slow motion. Any time I have larger chips (chippers vary) I may sift out the large chunks to use in pathways, letting foot traffic break them down. In my area where rain is seasonal and not reliable, I do need to irrigate with special attention to getting water beneath the wood layer, especially if the chips have been baked dry on top.
Sorry, I haven't been following you, you may have answered this already but what are nitrogen fixers? I know what you mean by fixing nitrogen, but examples of nitrogen fixers that you would plant would be what?
The only time I pick dandelion is to eat it. We have a bunch of them in our garden. And they kind of took over with other weeds. We're going through whatever is in the garden bed right now and I decided I would take clean over all the dandelions. Because I'm the only one who actually eats Dandelions the house. I am also the healthiest member of my Household.
I pick the heads and mix with a strong alcohol and make a tincture the alcohol also helps me know the mix is sterile and then the roots can keep adding nutrients and aerating the soil
Amazing video! I love dandelions. I use the flowers for many things like tea, salves and tinctures. The stem milk is good for healing bug bites etc., leaves for salad, and the roots are great dehydrated. Every aspect of the dandelion is healing for our bodies and our land. Thank you for this video and I hope people will learn to love these beautiful plants. ❤
Have you read the any of Olav Hauge? He was a writer and apple orchard farmer from Norway. Interesting fellow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Excellent channel. Very inspirational and informative. ✌️
My Neighbors have a very Dear Relative has SURVIVED CANCER ~~ a young Mother. My Neighbors are bright, active, BUT HAVE A SUBSCRIPTION TO A LAWN CARE Co. i have many dandelions. There should be an emoji of DANDELIONS. IM THINKING OF PLANTING A SIGN IN MY YARD STATING THAT WEED SPRAY KILLS DANDELIONS - but not all. AND WEED SPRAY KILLS PEOPLE BUT - not all. [the survivors do get hurt though] Such a sign on my lawn would. BE CRUEL. PEOPLE DONT KNOW: Jesus said “Forgive them Father bc they don’t know what they’re doing. “
