I see that you have the sport seat (840 mm). How do you find it? Hard, soft, medium? Do you have any fatigue because of the sport seat and stock height handlebar? Do you feel any pain? Thanks for the answers. Cheers.
I absolutely hate the way the gauges are set up. Would much rather have the RPM display as an analog gauge with a digital speed display. I just took delivery of mine, and the RPM display is virtually unreadable while driving. Also, the bike from the factory is geared way too low. One tooth up on the front sprocket is needed to make it rideable.
Thanks for an awesome take on the bike. I had a 2014 675r Daytona and this seems very similar, the engine the fit and finish. The 675r was great on real world roads but it was really a race and you felt it after about and hour and a half. I’m liking this bike, probably going to get this yellow in rs. Two questions does the red or silver look just as special or are they not quite pop like the yellow. Meaning do you see the other colors and think you could have been just as happy with those shades. 2nd are the stock rs tires plenty safe in wet conditions when your riding the twisties at close to legal speeds. They say they are not as good if it’s wet but maybe they are taking about not ideal in wet conditions when driving at high speeds
I have one, and I absolutely adore it. 3 yrs ownership and 24000 miles. Perfect for me. I have done track days, touring, and scratching the lot. Service intervals are brilliant.
What do you think about the mirror vibration? I purchased a 2023 four months ago and those mirrors do vibrate quite a bit around 55 mph to where it's difficult to make out a vehicle brand 3-4 car length behind you. Quite disappointing I might add. I plan on pulling the mirror stalks off and placing some rubber gromets at the base to see if that helps. It's hard to distinguish if it's a cop or a regular car creeping up LOL

i have noticed that most common issues of this bike comes from European reviews but none here in Asia. may be its a weather condition perhaps. May be its not conditioned to the weather in Eurpoe/America area?...
Most importantly: it has a passenger seat 😄😄 I mean, did you notice how most modern bikes have such a short tail that there is no room for a passenger at all?? What's the point of a bike if you cannot say "jump on, let's go for a ride"
I've been riding for close to 20 years and I still love watching these videos, reminds me of all the "first rides" I've had buying bikes from a dealer. For some reason, riding off a lot is a whole lot more stressful than riding from a private sale.
Hi, nice to see another great review of this awesome bike. I actually started out on the R1200R and now own an R1250R. I have been out on many other top end bike and my R1250R Sport is still my favourite bike. All the best and Ride Safe…
Would you say a new rider could start with one of these? Maybe just the R version? Im saying new im 30 now rid dirt bikes all my life etc just never had a road bike. Currently doing my test... Love the review! Beautiful bike.
Do Triumph do pannier racks, or even a complete luggage setup for the Speed 400? Why don't reviewers ever include these things? Some of us like to tour - even on a 'smaller' capacity machines.
I'm really torn between the two and there's no place near me that allows test rides so I'd have to make a decision by sitting on a static bike. Nearest Triumph dealer is about 100+ miles away so that's keeping me away from Triumphs in general because of the lack of dealers/service. I just took in a 2019 Honda CB300R on trade for my CB500X (which was too heavy for me) and that lightweight (313 lbs) Honda 300 is a blast to ride, but the suspension/saddle is very stiff on our terrible blacktop roads so it's not an all-day ride bike. I'm hoping the Triumph will bring the same fun riding but with a softer suspension for these rough roads. If you've ever ridden a 300R I'd appreciate your comparison.
Had my very first driving lesson today on a Z650, these machines are amazing! Watching this made me nervous as well haha, can't wait for the day I'll be able to pick up mine. Save miles brother, enjoy.
Awesome first ride home. I was nervous and excited for you while watching. I will be picking my 650 later this week and I can just imagine those nerves. Safe riding.
I couldn't be bothered with gears, so just did my cbt on a Scooter. Have my first Scooter now, Is fun. The lass with me doing here Cbt failed first time cause she couldn't get hang of the gears. Imo, less things to think about on a bike the better. But I suppose gears become natural. I may get an Electric motorbike in time though. How did you get this as a first bike? Did you do a CBT and then a DAS? Thanks.
