Being a sequel to three different episodes was a bold move and well done. Toad’s relationship with other rolling stock characters is a subject matter I don’t think was ever touched upon. And aside from Escape Douglass and Oliver’s relationship between them wasn’t explored much
I personally think this is a wonderful James episode. He’s always portrayed in a boastful, arrogant, unpleasant engine. Especially in the Brenner Era. But here, it shows him be the hero instead of the antagonist. I love that.
To be honest as absurd as sodor fallout and other aus like it I got a admit I actually love them They may seem weird absurd and don’t fit the solar cannon but then again so did Thomas and the magic railroad and people seem to like it And just like the mass railroad, you don’t have to take it as Canon or or consider it one of those weird alternate universes the same goes with Shed 17 Toby and the half pariah And others like it
1:49 why am i convinced you made this episode purely so you can use the Detective James theme by S.A Music XD (It actually fits insanely well) Still a very good episode :3 I like the idea that this makes James saying he sent Diesel packing to Duncan wasn't just him being boastful he was being honest (in the typical showoff James fashion)
This the first time I’ve seen this story played seriously. Usually when someone makes a Thomas story about an engine getting drunk or high, they play it for laughs. Here, they take it seriously. Props Side note, there’s nothing wrong with the stories that make jokes out of this
