Thank you for making this video! I just finished replacing the front wheel bearings in the 2001 GT I bought recently. Luckily I had a Bauer electric impact rated for 1000 ft/lbs that made easy work of taking the 36mm nut off without even needing a breaker bar!
This is a great idea after governor removal.. removing the throttle to governor rod and spring don't change the governor inside the crank case..it is still being governored by the plastic gear located in the engine..but this does increase rpms at a quicker rate.. so acceleration is increased, but does nothing for top end... If you are going to invest into a stage 2 kit or greater than I would recommend the governor removal, but I won't do it with less or stock.. the governor gear inside the housing is plastic and will surely break or melt from higher temps and possibly jam up your cam and cause you to blow your engine.. build it up before jumping the gun..
I never put back the same way seems I always have a screw or bolt left over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe I need too listen too Zep to keep focused !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Looking to find the part # for the throttle arm he references at 04:30. Can anyone help? The one we have where the screw limits how much it moves has started to bend back and wanted to get it replaced.
I did my Hisun 196 similar except a Tillotson Pk1b, PVL flywheel, 8 degree key (36 total), Autolite plug (said to decrease chamber cc), CS cam and 22# springs. That girl can eat, I'll tell you what! She puts 15HP down with a TAV 30. Sounds dumb flat out. There's a walk around on my channel.
i have a 2 seater manco silver fox with a predator 212 stage 1 performance kit and a bigger jetted carb. on 18 inch street tires got it up to 37 and it was still climbing kinda quick on the GPS speedo lol. Thanks for the video My gas pedal has full range of motion on the carb for my linkage setup. i just had to add a zip tied and stronger return springs and it working fantastic!!!
