This is a video of the first start of my new Predator 212 "just over stock" build, which is the "30 min break-in period" that I made for my friends at Oldminibikes.com forum. I hope they can help me tune it.
no, the engine is quite a bit bigger and moved to the left, to center it on the engine mount. The original chain guard will not fit, I don't think it fit over the new clutch either. I ended up with an OMB warehouse chainguard for $7.00, it works fine, looks ok, and my pant leg doesn't get chewed up by the clutch.
Seat is from BMI Karts & Supplies part #300105 it's 29.95 and you'll need the springs too #300111 for 2" springs, 2.95 each. They sell 3" springs too, #300109. I made the two brackets to mount the seat. and NO, the engine fit right in. I had to drill mounting holes because the 2 1/2 hp bolt pattern (stock) was a bit smaller than this 6 1/2 hp Predator. Drill the mounting holes right the first time, considering chain tension adjustments and keeping the chain straight, and it worked out good.
Exhaust and silencer are from OMB Warehouse, sold as a pair @ $36.96. The header wrap is from BMI Karts & Supplies @ $10.00. The header is 8" and currently "out of stock", they do have an 11" pipe available...
On a stock head with a mod 2? 35 main jet , 45 idle, stock emulsion tube and 36 degrees of timing. If you were running a Predator 212 Hemi with a 14cc (gx160) head and a stock cam that might fly but your putting a lot of air and fuel into a 212, with that ramp and duration your aim is to feed the burn. If you don't advance the timing in accordance to the cam then you wind up drowning the piston because your cam is holding the intake valve open slightly longer and/or higher. Another trick is to go back and relash those valves to .002 instead and your coil to .025. My ct200r build is very similar and a Tillotson Pk1b with a 37 main is what it takes. there are 2 lines, one is a fuel line, and the other is a vent. the vent doesn't have to go to the air box, on my mini bike the vent is just there with no line
xx arcracing xxx You need to do your own homework to learn anything. ARC is no longer offering the predrilled jets I bought. They were part #6899 main jet and part # DJ-12455 for the pilot jet.
