Those are some kick-ass-boots. Makes you look tougher just by holding them. You don't even have to wear them, just walk into any bar holding them or tossed over your shoulders and you'll look tough.
Gentlemen, keep in mind that with JK's boots their width size vary different from other PNW boots. So their standard "D" width is actually their "E" width. So I'm a 9.5D width on Nicks HNW last but on JK's I'm a 9.5E width. Keep that in mind. Oh and one more thing. Their D width at JK's is actually their Narrow width so at Nicks narrow width is their C width or even more narrow width is their B width.
My bison OT boots are great so far. Use the discount code for extended delivery. For some reason they still made and delivered the boots in 6 weeks. And they called a day after delivery to see if the boots were satisfactory. I've only worn issued boots, but the customer service is fantastic so far. (Im a stan i guess)
@@robertbaltierra4415 what do you mean? They are expensive, but if you need work boots, you could do worse. There is also monthly payments (that sounds bad as I'm typing it). But it's about 30 bucks a month
You selected extended delivery (26 weeks for bison) and got them in 6 weeks?! I did standard delivery on mine and I’m right at 6 weeks now. If they showed up soon that would be amazing !
@@12345....... You're good man. Do I really need them no? Is the price a bit much, sure. For a lot of these PNW boots one of the biggest things keeping me from ordering is the wait time (+price). So if I could get a great pair with a short wait and a discount, my wallet is in danger.
This is exactly why these WORK boots have gotten ridiculous to buy and the wait time is so long… Hipsters buying these boots made for blue collar workers so they can roll up their skinny jeans and show off their costume boots
These are a normal person work boot, so yard work hobby woodwork or if you work as a supervisor on a job site. They are great boots but not heavy work boots
They’re tougher than Redwings, Thorogoods, wolverines, carhartts, redbacks, or any other mass produced boot. They ARE a working man’s boot. That said, all of the PNW boot makers (including JK) do make tougher boots.
I bought the bison and they are awesome. Needed a heal to hang on the peg while riding and still be flexible. It's cool of you don't like them, but they are a lifetime boot.
"Sneaker size" is not necessarily your Brannock Size. Most athletic shoes are 1/2 to a full size larger than Brannock. Follow JKs fit guide. It is not quite "straight forward". Brannok size, subtract a whole size and use JK's width chart for your foot measurement. I wear a 9D in New Balance or Merrell's. Brannock is an 8.5 D. I wear a Nick's, Tony Lama Black Label, and Lucchese in 8.5 D. JK's fit guide says 7.5 EEE. I hope they fit... Just ordered some OTs last week.
I have the Black super duties and just ordered the Climber in red . Love my JK’s . I’ve been wearing my super duties everyday just about for a year and they’re barely looking used. I do take ridiculous care of them but still the boots are incredibly tough
Got the exact same boot aside from adding the comp toe. First PNW boot for me and I’m so glad I went with them. The OT is no more than what I need as I’m not in much need for a super duty or the like. Awesome video. I would recommend viewers check the sizing guide as I’m a size and a half down from my brannock and at least 2 sizes down from tennis shoes. Keep the great vids coming.
With the safety toe Do you find yourself wearing these off the job? My main job requires safety toe, but If I'm spending $500+ for these i want to make sure i can wear them doing my side gigs and work around the house with out having to worry about the safety toe adding too much weight or fatigue or sacrificing too much flexibility.Any insight would be much appreciated!
The safety toe I have is composite so it really doesn’t add that much weight. I don’t have another boot of the sort to compare to but I’ve not had too much trouble with it being too heavy. Do go through the sizing process because you don’t want the toe squeezing anywhere that’s uncomfortable.
So far I’ve had no issue with wearing the boots with whatever I’m doing. Yard work or at work doing about 10k steps a day on hard flooring they seem to do the job and my feet don’t hurt like some other shoes I’ve worn. So it works for me. I do kinda wish I had gotten the bison but it’s a process for the other leather that I’ve grown to appreciate and adding the safety toe just adds to the process. These boots change as you wear them and gets better each day.
I just ordered 2 Jk boots o.ts. One will have steel toes and other one a soft toe 😂 Nicks urban loggers being delivered in a few days And builder pros on order.
Mister boot spy is a boot expert, he knows what he's talking about. I wish he would do a boot review on go-go boots or go-go work boots where you work and dance at the same time.
No. I’ve reviewed over 100+ boots, which gives some validity to my opinion, despite not working a blue collar job. However, if you want a blue collar persons opinion, you can find plenty of other reviews out there for this boot too.
@@BootSpy Giving your opinion on 100+ boots doesn't give you the experience. This is like reviewing chefs knives because you learned to make macaroni. You've never experienced the blisters, taping them together to make them last, broken laces in the field, having to replace boots every 3-5 years at your own expense cause they wore out faster than the nerd on RU-vid said they would (this is you), the frozen toes from true steel toes, how leather shrinks when it gets too hot. the "hell week" of breaking them in, how boots can feel comfortable until you really start to work in them. I can go on and on. Clearly, you like to dress like you have a rugged job without working one. Just another Carhartt wearing, bird scooter riding hipster. You have no clue about work boots, how long they last or what constitutes a real work boot. And when you're called out you tell them to go find someone with the experience you don't have, you shouldn't even covering this topic in the first place. Stick to fashion.
Offer it with a full leather midsole for $400, then do the same but thinner on the 300 and charge $300. Word would spread quickly about the great value you're providing and you'd sell so many that you wouldn't have to pay these lame RU-vidrs to shill for you and the savings could pass to actual hardworking customers 🤯
That's why you don't have a Leather workbook company! You don't have a clue what you're yammering about. Sure they'd fly off the shelfs, and once empty they'd close the doors because they had to file bankruptcy! Nothings cheap these days, especially high quality American made products! Although they may save a tad bit of money, the build times still going to be about the same! Having a cheap boot take up most of your time. Not giving you time to build your high end top of the line products. Would be catastrophic for their Business! If it's so easy to do and such a great idea. Go for it, open your own business! It amazes me at confident ignorant people can.be! They can be wrong with upmost certainty. Yet make a bold statement on something they.are clueless about, and act as if they had the greatest idea ever! If JK wanted to make cheap mass produced boots. They would have been doing so a long time ago! Plenty of other companies have what you are after... Bye! Have a beautiful time!
@@richardbadish6990 - my bad. You're right. They would go out of business if they stopped gouging so hard. I bow down to the MBA that you clearly possess.
