A visit to Patterdale in the Lake District, and a short amble up Grisedale provided me with a rather surprising subject. I say 'surprising' because I wasn't really looking out for potential subjects at the time (it was late afternoon and I was getting hungry). If I hadn't had my attention caught by an old stone sheep enclosure at the top of the valley, I suspect I might just have walked on by and not fully appreciated the vista that had opened up before me.
