I sometimes wonder what I’d say if I could write a love letter to my younger self. Maybe I’d say not to be so hard on myself, or say no to something I really didn’t want to do. But the thing is, I did what I thought was best, given all the tools and information I had at the time. My letter isn’t finished and it probably will take my lifetime to write. I do know it will most certainly say ‘I love you, I’m so sorry and keep fighting; I’m proud of you.’ That may just be all I’ll ever write.
Here to confirm this is the best banana bread I’ve ever made . I did add a tiny bit of vanilla extract :) but other than that kept everything exactly like the video
DELICIOUS! My two toddlers and I made this using your recipe but with spelt flour and agave nectar as a sweetener just a little bit of cane sugar and we loveeeeeeee it! cooked it for about 45 minutes though but this was perfect! Thanks again
It's the best recipe I have ever tried for a banana bread. From time to time I do variations if I am missing some ingredients (margarine, ghee for butter sometimes) but keeping the same amount for the key ingredients really keep the same taste.
I've converted the mesurements to metric for my own sake: Dry Ingredients: (170 g) all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon baking soda (130 g) white sugar 3/4 teaspoon kosher salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon (50 g) cup turbinado sugar Wet Ingredients 3 ripe bananas (70 g) unsalted butter, softened 2 eggs, room temperature 1. Preheat oven to 180 C. 2. To a large mixing bowl add, (170 g) all purpose flour, 1/4 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, (130 g) of white sugar, 3/4 tsp kosher salt, 1 tsp cinnamon 3. Combine and set aside 4. To another mixing bowl, add 3 very ripe bananas and mash well with a fork (consistency almost like a paste with small lumps) 5. Add (70 g) softened and unsalted butter and 2 room temperature eggs 6. Combine with a fork, mashing up the butter as you go 7. Combine wet and dry ingredients together and mix well with a spatula 8. To a greased loaf pan, pat turbinado sugar on all sides liberally 9. Pour batter into pan 10. Shake to distribute evenly and pat on counter to remove any air bubbles 11. Bake for 40-50 min (test with a toothpick around 40 min and if comes out cleanly, remove) 12. Let cool on a wire rack
I have been using this recipe for as long as I remember. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! Every other banana bread recipe I've tasted just dosent match this one for me. NEVER TAKE THIS VIDEO DOWN! Its my go to recipe when im in need of a good slice and some morning coffee.😊❤
Thanks for your simple recipe. FYI, I added little lemon juice with brown sugar 🍋 with pure vanilla and also some chop carrots 🥕 blue berries, chop almonds. And top it off with oatmeal on top. Thank you for letting me post comment. 😎
