I listen to this whenever the night sky clears up. I live in a region, that dictates strict darkness after a certain time. Isn‘t it gorgeous, that the universe made this, then listened to it a million times over?
I love Schala she is a goddess imho. If fictional character like YHWH, Allah and other deities can be called such than someone as pure, gentle, open minded, and long suffering like Schala can be as such.
It's a bit sad when I look at my Snes soundtrack playlist and no matter what Chrono Trigger song I only see comments commemorating Toriyama's death. Like I'm not saying we shouldn't remember Toriyama's contribution, but tell me honestly. Did Toriyama ever say in an interview if he wanted us to be sad? Because it seems to me that his manga, drawings and concept art for games were supposed to give hope, joy and strength. On March 8, the legend of Toriyama began and will last forever. I'm not saying that we shouldn't mourn him, because his death was sad for me as well, but tell me honestly, can anyone name the advantage of Chrono Trigger, Blue Dragon or Dragon Quest apart from the fact that Toriyama worked on them? These games are good in themselves and Toriyama is just a part of them. It's not that I can't cope with his death myself and I cry every time I see the frame with Dr. Slump, or when I look at Db games and posters in my room. I just want to tell you that with his death, his legend began. So instead of mourning him forever, let's make up for our library gains by playing his games, reading his manga, exploring more of his "lore" (how I fucking hate that word), and let's continue living with the fact and hope that Toyatorou will take Db's manga to the same level and he won't destroy it like Ikemoto Naruto or Kenji Terada after getting the rights to Berserk. Toyatoru simply joined Tezuka, Takahasi, Miura and probably didn't want us to give up, but just get up and move on with life. Just like Goku, Arale, Chrono or Shu
For some reason, listening to this song tonight reminded me of when I was a kid watching Pink Floyd's "The Wall" movie. That day was a rough one for me, kids at school were particularly mean and homework was especially tedious, and my dad was working late as usual. So my brother and I decided to watch the movie together. Well, near the end Dad came home and saw us watching it; we thought everything would be fine, since he was a huge Pink Floyd fan and it was one of the few interests we all shared. But no. He flew off the fucking handle because the dishes weren't done, schoolwork wasn't done, dinner wasn't ready, the couch was moved slightly so the indentations on the carpet were visible... so no, everything was not fine. Now that I'm a working adult I better understand the stresses he was under. I can understand that he was working such egregious hours so that us boys could have a roof over our heads and food in our bellies. But I hope to God that if I ever come home after a fifth consecutive overtime shift to my kids playing Chrono Trigger instead of doing their chores or feeding themselves, I'll take some time to watch them discover the joys of this masterpiece instead of spraying mustard all over the kitchen.
Rest in Peace, Akira Toriyama. The universe and it's machinations will continue to move. You are still connected to us here. I hope one day to live in a mode of existence where your presence is akin, yet again.
I loved exploring the Kingdom of Zeal and it is a good story to help children understand concepts like hubris, exploitation in society, even racism. The beautiful music only added to its charm. Chrono Trigger is easily one of my favorite games of all time. Mr. Akira Toriyama, thank you for sharing your gift with us. Your art will always have a special place in my heart just as it had a special place in my childhood. You are dearly missed but your legacy shall live forever through your work.
I used to have this game on my Super Nintendo, not knowing at the time I was playing one of the most important video games ever created. What I took from it at the time was “wow, this is amazing” replaying it over and over again made me realize, the team that gave us this gem were actually, giving us something so important and trying to help us. Thank you, a lot of the data on this cartridge still goes over so many peoples heads, truly a masterpiece with secrets yet to be uncovered.
Love this song! Let me know what you think of my cover of Chrono Trigger's Corridors of Time (Zeal) Theme! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-riuZ2ai8seA.html
JFC we get it Toriyama died....I don't think I've seen a single comment not saying that, how about the music? Wish there was a filter system for RU-vid comments
Zeal has fallen, fallen, fallen into the wine dark sea; never again will the Kingdom of Magic be among us, for Zeal has Fallen, Fallen, Fallen into the blood darkened sea.
