Interesting video. We were in Germany last week and made day trip from Dresden Hbf to Prague. We were on Czech coaches which were comfortable but at least 20 years old. It’s not fast alongside the Elbe. We lost 20 minutes on outward journey due to unexplained issues. Far worse on way back. We lost 20 minutes and then train ‘died’ at last station. We got back to Dresden 2 hours late. Worth travelling by train to Prague but timekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. No delay repay either!
I would have loved to see some more commentary like how comfortable the journey was, whether the food was excellent and good value. Etc etc. Otherwise, i don't feel engaged with the journey. ❤
Seeing the Douro Valley by train is truly mesmerizing, and your video captures it perfectly. If you’re ever interested in exploring more stunning train journeys around the world, we’d be delighted to help you plan your next adventure. Keep sharing these wonderful experiences!
Hi everyone there, i ve heard the. ticket can only be bought at the station. could someone help with me that if the train still goes from bar/kotor to belgrade?and there are 2 different choices: high speed without sleeping cabin and the old slow one with sleeping bed, right?
Know why I took the overnight ferry? To do what I planned to do - ride the ICE3neo Amsterdam-Cologne-Brussels back home in the evening, I’d have needed the 07:04 Eurostar, meaning a 4:30am wakeup and drive to Tring for a 05:30 train. This way I got more sleep and a more relaxed journey. It’s such a good alternative to Eurostar, often cheaper.
thank you so much for creating this amazing website! its the most helpfuk i have found ! i really appreciate it! i read everything and its well written
Thanks to your video and website, I became aware of EC9 and took it in June (2024), First Class, and it was a superb trip. The mostly domed First Class carriage and very nice restaurant car are what rail travel should be. Stunning views. Thanks!
