The RU-vid channel of Mark Horrell, mountaineer, indie author and mountain travel writer.
Welcome to my channel, and thank you for visiting. Most of the videos featured here were taken during my expeditions to the world's greater mountain ranges.
I'm a writer rather than a film maker. Some of the videos are quite raw, but I hope you find them fun. They will give you a taste of expedition life, the joys and struggles of trekking and mountaineering. The stories are told in more detail in my books and blog. Please drop by if you're a reader too.
I've met some interesting characters during my adventures, and I'd like to say a big thank you to all the people featured in the films, who are united by a shared love of mountains. I hope you find the scenery spectacular, but it's people who provide the emotion, the humour and the heartache.
Ministry of tourism should promote in appreciation of role played by (if not mistaken)Gonabweka Mkandawire artwork of old time,he did it to assist children from other side of the river to access education during the times of missionaries in Mlowe before colonialism ,even engineers can draw vital lessons here.

I've seen plenty of Ladakh motorcycle vlogs, but never a trekking one! Binged them all in one go and absolutely loved them. Hope you had a fantastic time exploring the remote valleys of Ladakh too!
Thats Impressive! Climbing back-to-back peaks that tower over 6,000 meters is incredible! Reaching almost the summit of West Peak is still a huge accomplishment.
@1:53 I wonder what that palace would've looked like in its heyday before it turned to ruins. It must have looked really impressive then, tucked in the hills in such a remote place.
Native English speakers won't cut their silly unnatural accent even in the low oxygen environment, usually I think you guys are pussies but this earned my respect
Hello everyone I congratulate you on the ascent of Cholatse. Thank you for the wonderful film. This brings back many unforgettable memories. I wish you nice mountain tours. With alpine greetings Raphael Wellig
Most of those people just don't belong on Mount Everest. Period. If you're not a legit mountaineer stay off the mountain. Another example of people with money doing stupid things. putting people's lives at risk.
Prachtig!! Met SNP ook hier gelopen in Langtang naar Ganesha himal. Rond 1990? ongeveer. Slapen in tentjes en poedelen en haren wassen in riviertjes. Onvergetelijke ervaring, schitterend mooi!!!
