Just had this happen to me except on the right side. I was on a gravel/dirt road on my Honda Monkey 125. Going about 25-30ish. While 75% through the turn I suddenly feel the wheels just begin to slip and all I can think of is “F*ck”. I got thrown to the right and the bike skidded. Hurt a bit, more like getting slammed and skidding rather than a sharp pain. Luckily, my motorcycles giant stock muffler lifted the bike up high enough that the motor, tank, and right side was basically untouched (somehow the right handlebar is untouched but the brake got scraped up a bit somehow?). No mechanical damage, the only cosmetic damage is a dented headlight cover, muffler protector cover, scratched up headlight corner, right mirror flew off but attached it already, and the right peg holder broke off. Somehow the peg is unscratched but the piece holding the peg snapped off cleanly. Luckily I was wearing gear so I only have a scratched up right elbow and friction burns on my knees from the pants rubbing on my skin. But other than that, Im alright. Its a shame tho that I wont be able to ride for a few days until I replace the right peg frame piece.
Damn this guy is the same weight as me and im learning to ride now! It has been a great thing not just for the physical aspect of it but the mental as well!
