TFW you screw up so badly the Big Three of Cao Cao, Liu Bei and the Sun family, plus Lu Bu, ALL come after you and reduce you to nothing. “Nobody liked that”.
I absolutely despise this part of Chapter 3. Definitely the worst area in the game so far to me. People were saying the caves in Chapter 4 are annoying, I vastly prefer them over this entire area up until Captain Wise-Voice.
@@mariapazgonzalezlesme not really. It’s different in each case. Yellow Wind is literally just the color of sandstorm. Yellow flower is literally just the color of flower. Yellowbrow is a little bit of a sexual innuendo as yellow is often used as the color of lust. Like out west you might call a prostitution area the red light district but in China it’s called the Yellow Industry. But overall it’s just a color, and it doesn’t really have a unifying meaning here as these are just a selection of events from the novel and it just happens you are still a few concentrated instances of the color yellow.
In English the final confront with Yellow Loong read "All three of your brothers have been claimed. If not now, when will you reunite?" Seem to me we did not kill them but defeated and claim their spirit, reunited them to become whole...which made me feel less bad about their fate. Instead of fading away like any other yaoguai (though fading away it just game mechanic to not spawn corpse) , the Loongs instead fade to form golden chests containing a key material to crafting the Gold Loong staff. If I remember right, these are the key 'parts' that hold the most mystical power of a Loong are as follows. 1) The tail 龙尾 2) the bones 龙骨 3) the tendon 龙根 4) the claws 龙爪 This Loong I believe is the Eight Claw Dragon that emerged from Lingji Bodhisattva's Golden Loong Staff/飞龙棒杖 that used to defeated Yellow Wind Sage. "八爪金龙又如何,动了凡心,菩萨也要吃亏“ (So what (if it was) the eight clawed gold dragon? When mortal compassions/thoughts took root, even Bodhisattvas have to suffer) If you look at the golden dragon staff in game, it have a Buddha's hand tightly clutches the gold dragon, such cryptic layers of lore here...I think Lingji possibly took pity on the dragon after traveling the mortal realm with it for some time, and chose to release it. But fearing Buddha's punishment for this act, Lingji split the Gold Dragon into four beings, who took the identities - or "reincarnated" in some way - as the sons of the Dragon King. This is just a theory still, nothing has been confirmed by Game Science :)
@@bambi17720 it’s a fun theory but it doesn’t really hold water when you consider the original novel and even some of the dragon codex entries that are in the game. The novel already established that their father had nine sons. As you can see, all nine had names and locations so I don’t see where you can get the working for Buddha and being split theory to make sense. 小黄龙 and 金龙 are not the same thing aside from being both “yellow”. But your theory is still an interesting read although I just don’t see. Also pretty sure the first three all died at your hand as Yuan Shou Cheng (the gourd man) is never off with his fortunes
Spent 4 hours total today trying to fight Yellow Loong. His moveset isn’t as annoying as Black Loong but I feel like his healthpool is so large it’s insane. And his damage also can basically one shot you. He might be even harder than Yin Tiger. Pausing for now and watching more of your letsplay. Also bought the Anthony C Yu translation of Journey to the West on Kindle.
Using yin tiger heavy attack is stylish and feels good, but the regular stagger slashing and his special move where he swings his sword like a crazed berserker is much more effective.
Good translation. The official one uses the word ‘kasaya’, which isn’t even the Mandarin word for it, nor does the female speaker ever even use jiāshā in the first place!
Turn into yin tiger when you have 3 focus point then you can imediately activate his spell and when he activate it his damage is very high (and its better than his heavy attack )
Good job on the Yellow Wind Sage. It definitely took me a couple tries, but my buddy who started playing before me got absolutely destroyed by this boss and it took him forever. And he has the nerve to trash talk me because I took a long time to beat Yellowbrow lol
Best episode of the series so far 'the interrogation room', the spies and ways of using them was pretty awesome addition for TW ! I really wanted an MP experience of that type as well when I first saw the feature.
I just noticed with yellow Loong his jump dlam attacks ARE TRACKING ATTACKS Notice when you dodge while hes in air his body turns where you dodge to & if you dodge 2 attacks his 3rd will track you as well to hit you. If youre too defensive his attack will rush & track you. If youre too offensive his attacks will parry and rush you. Its a balace of timing/attack/evasion
you should also try out the yellow-robed yaksha transformation, he has a big sword basically he hits 3 times with quite a bit of stagger on each, I've been using him against major bosses like Kang-jin Loong and she literally fell down on the ground on the third hit
"This ought to be a piece of cake" - you meant to say, a big juicy hunk of roasted pork? (I prefer 烧肉 rather than 叉烧 in this case, since there's no marinade) I guess those fights with the Yellow Loong did pay off - you one shot 呆子!
Just watched your army composition guide, how did those evolve? Seems like there’s a bit of a difference between this tier list and the units you suggested.
