Justine, you and Brody did a wonderful job at dressage. Sitting trot is so very hard, especially for us older riders. Take heart, you looked so good - crack on! And my lord, those eventing fences are terrifyingly MASSIVE. You are so brave and a true inspiration for me. Thank you, thank you!
Fantastic vlog. Justine, you are awesome. Brody is such a credit to you 🎉 He looks stunning and jumps beautifully. For a big horse, he creates such a fabulous picture in the dressage & he tries his heart out for you. Back pain is draining. It's a shame you can't have some sort of padding on the saddle seat. Having slipped discs in my lumbar region and neck, I felt for you in the sitting trot🫣 Much love to all❤
I was very impressed with your riding, and how scopey Billy Brody is. He was starting to look tired on the last couple of cross country jumps, but what round!! The showjumping was impressive as well. Have you lost weight and got fitter? I hope you don’t mind me asking. Well done.
Justine, being an older rider is tough. Just as you said it’s the worn out body. The sitting trot is miserable because we anticipate the pain and tighten up making everything worse. My trick - thick back pad for my boy which helps both of us. Him when I don’t get it right and my body. I know I am preaching to the choir but the only way to get it is to relax the hips and tighten the core. I LOVE your vlogs. Please keep them coming. You’re the best and so honest!!! ❤️🏇
OMG Brody is looking mega ,, and jumping like hes on springs ,, amazing to see you at a 2* ,, Like the man said ,,you got it , you have always had it ,, just shake those cobwebs off xx
Amazing Justine, you & Brody are a fab partnership. Very inspiring lady 👏👏 I'm 46 & have had time away from horses while my kids were younger. The dream is to one day do a ODE again. It's been 30 years since my last one 😬
Brody is such a good looking chap. Well done and I really felt for you while you had a few tears. We're still all kids at heart but the body has other ideas 🏆
Wow 🤩 well done I couldn’t help but have a tear just watching you both and how far you have come. Just fantastic and your so brave! You both make a great team he’s is stunning you must be very proud I know I’m proud of you both and your journey so far has been a pleasure to watch x
I have the same issue as you, worn out lower back, bone to bone literally. Shock damping saddle pad, Winderen and Shock damping stirrups helps a lot. Thinline has a good one as well. I also use a vest with magnets on the inside, believe it not but it helps as well. I'm less sore after riding when using it. Love your vlogs, they're so genuine and you're a fantastic combination. Well ridden as always and Brody is just fabulous.🎉
You are a total inspiration, I am 56 and still trying to event, I had a tear with you, its OK, you deserve to be back in those tails, which looked fab by the way. Brody is an absolute machine but all down to you and his trust in you, keep going, know the problem with the back (two bulging discs for me!) do NOT doubt yourself, you have every right to be where you are, again, children and life take a long time to recover from, lol, keep flying the flag, love all your videos xx
Oh Justine that was an absolutely amazing outing for you both!! Brody truly is a one in a million horse!! You both made that look so easy hun. That picture of you showjumping, the height he was giving that fence was truly epic!! Huge well done to you both hun, really loved this vlog. Looking forward to your next one hunny 🥰❤
I’m not an equestrian I would have liked to be one as a child but we couldn’t afford it. I don’t understand the hierarchy of all these riding competition 2 star 3 star etc qualifying etc if you could do a little explanation as you go along I would appreciate it. Though I don’t know a lot I can see that you are a very good rider. To me I can see that your body is very balanced and still at all times which allows the horse to get on with its job ❤
Well done Justine and Brody, you both did so good. Brody is looking fabulous. Maddie really did look so comfy in that bed, you not so much on your little camp bed. Great vlog as always. Your sitting trot will come, but really doesn’t help with having a bad back. Thanks for sharing xx
As a 45 year old - and not that I’ll ever have the balls or skills to event; my goal is to jump a small course one day - you are always in my mind for inspiration and motivation. Your approach, your personality, your kindness, and your fierceness make you such a badass. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us!
Wow, well done to you and Brody!! You are such an inspirational lady, I love watching your videos and I am sure you will take Brody to even greater heights!! I do think that you should’ve got the comfy bed though!! Congratulations again and keep the vlogs coming 🤗
Oh gosh, i got a bit teary when you did!! This random internet stranger is very proud of you!! And Brody is just MEGA - because of you!! And that showjumping picture 😮😮😮 talk about scope!!
Bless you Justine, thank you for sharing that vulnerable/emotional moment. Is there any off-horse work/physio which can support your back with the sitting trot? You can hear just how much it all means to you! I hope that progress keeps coming your way. I love how positive you are about Brody. And Charlie's encouraging commentary in the SJ!
Brody is an amazing jumper - he's clearing those show jumps by a foot. And it's so obvious what a skilled rider you continue to be. Congrats and can't wait to see what's next. (P.S. You give us old(er) ladies hope!!)
I'm echoing the other Julia - well done and you're fulfilling those of us who are unable to ride! My best was Charlie going "G'wan, go go, " with clicking his tongue!! lol. You have an awesome family <3
Those moments to appreciate where you are and how you feel are so important. You really are doing what you said you would - getting as far as you can with your beautiful boy. Well done you. ❤
