Nice video, I installed these headlights about a year ago, very cool, I got the extra bag with the harness and I contacted the company and they told me you don't need it, it's plug-in play, which it is, but now I see I could switch from clear to Amber, I am on Amber now and it does look cool, paid $600 for the pair, sold my original ones on craigslist for 250, so I was able to ease the pain a little bit, just got back from off Roading for the fifth time, Trails water mud holes, love it, thanks for the video
Hi, thanks. The rear is easier in my opinion. Here is the install video. Now I attached it to the roll bar looking out the rear window so when I take the top off the camera stays. In the video I attached the camera with the double sided d tap. It only stayed for 2 days. I ended up using some Gorilla glue hot glue and it’s been on for over a year. Any questions please let me know. Adding a Dash Cam to a Ford Bronco, part 2. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fJE3qx7MTgg.html
just the beginning of this tech it'll get a lot better, relax plp, you think when cars were invented they didnt catch fire, course they did but they got better.
@@shimes424 I mean yes they did? They cut corners with basic things like panel gaps, but battery tech is somewhere they've made a bunch of gains. Safety was something they figured out ages ago. Yes they still catch fire sometimes, just like petrol vehicles do. Both need to store a ton of energy somewhere they can pull out tons at a moments notice - so there's always the possibility that batteries and fuel can end up in a runaway reaction. Musk bought Twitter because he's insane at a minimum. Just because there's something wrong with him doesn't mean that Tesla and SpaceX in particular are invalidated.
They are forcing us onto electric so there is more control. If power goes out we have nothing and are at their mercy. If you have gas and power goes out it's not a big deal. Why are people signing up to remove guns and energy diversity? Not smart people wanting to feel morally superior
all cars are electric ! some are 30% efficient with flames and pollution pouring out its ass into our lungs! others are 100% efficient with the pollution going in one place- bit like humans when we shit down the toilet and not in the streets eh 💩💩💩💩💩💩
I’m sure the owner of the Hummer is happy to hear that. He had 3 cars in his garage. The fire department pulled out the Hummer and his model Y. Out of the garage, they left the gas powered convertible in the garage. All 3 were surrounded by 3 -4 ft of seawater due to the hurricane we just had.
@@fredsgarage1925 All I know is my gasoline car burnt my whole house down. Now I know you seen as many times as I have cars burning on the side of the road and the on fire all types of stuff. Everything has a chance of catching on fire
Gas is also explosive… this is such a lame argument against EVs, I live in a city where there’s many EVs, I’ve yet to see one randomly explode or on fire… and I’m guessing most people haven’t.
The argument is, if you live somewhere where the EV can come in contact with salt water there is a very high change of the EV self igniting. We just had a Hurricane and everything was flooded with 3-4 ft of sea water. The county fire department sent out a text to inform them if you owned a EV because they were catching fire all over. I’m not anti EV, u just would not want it in my garage.
@@fredsgarage1925 thanks for responding and I can see your point. The one good thing about any technology whether it's ICE or EV, is that they do improve, this is just the early stage. So it will only get better. Look at the first cars and how slow they are but now cars can go to 200mph and have safety features where you'll see people surviving some high speed accidents. So if the technology is pretty solid now it's safe to say it will improve and get better and in turn become more safe as well. I'm sure they're going to solve for that problem as no one wants their customers cars to explode in their garages! :) To add a last example, propane has an expansion ratio of around 270 to 1 if I recall and people cook and light their houses with it. Will there be accidents? Yes. But is it safe enough for a majority of people to use without incident also yes. Anyway thanks for the measured response, I have a lot of respect for you for that! :)
@@damagesxyes, your 100% correct. I think if airplanes. The first ones must of been so scary, now it’s the safest way to travel. Hey, have a great day. Thanks for the comment.
It was surrounded by 4 feet of seawater. The owners where sleeping and onstar called them at 12:50 and told them to get out of the house. They has to wade over to the neighbors house. 10 minutes later the truck had an explosion and destroyed the garage and blew out the upper windows. The only thing that saved them was that it was surrounded with seawater. The fire department showed up after the water receded and pulled it out into the driveway. If you look at the whole linked video you can zoom in and see the garage damage.
@@redrum6011 luckily it was under 4 ft of seawater due to the hurricane. The water caused the fire but it also probably saved the house from burning down.
One of the many reasons why EV's will never truly go anywhere, that and we are already running out of lithium just under a decade from the start of their mass manufacture.
Nice video! Thanks for sharing some great tips. I was ready to pull down the panels but like the way you did it without taking everything apart. The part number for the harness helped the most to verify what I have is correct.
Thanks, just a heads up. My rear camera only stuck on for 2 days with the double sided tape. So I used gorilla hot glue stick, I add some painters tape over the rear camera overnight to let the glue cure, then remove the tape. It’s been on for a year or so with no issues. Also the glue looks like it would peel off fairly easy if I ever wanted to. Good luck.
Nonsensical luxury items are often, ironically, of poor quality. You're paying for the brand, not for an excellent quality/price ratio. You could buy Volvo, or Subaru, but if you choose a "statement" monstrosity, that's more on you, sorry. Thankfully, nobody was hurt, although safety was obviously not the concern here.
Gm is known to have issues with all their new vehicles but don't worry if they get in financial trouble again the government will bail them out with our tax dollars
Nothing to do with GM. It's all EVs. Remember that cargo ship that went down full of VW Auto Group cars? All those Porsches and Audis BURNING at the bottom of the ocean
The problem is that a lot of people don’t live here and don’t take precautions prior to returning to their homes. That should happen is. Prior to leaving, the lift needs to be raised as high as possible and the boat needs to be tied to the lift.
Well, few may live by the ocean but many states have winter and use salt on the roads to melt ice so there is that. This would cause the same issue as ocean water.
Yup, I think the battery packs need to be placed somewhere in the vehicle where it doesn’t come in contact with the road conditions. They should think of the battery packs like a radio that almost never gets wet. The only issue is how heavy they are.
Yes, it’s terrible to see all the devastation. We’re sending prayers out for all affected by this incident. We got lucky with our place compared to others. We had about 4” of water get into our place. Our neighborhood was hammered. Very few were unscathed. Many of our friends had several feet of water in their homes. Hope you faired well.
I’m so glad to hear that you guys are OK. I got so lucky, the water came up to 1 inch from my pool deck. The only damage I received was 1 piece of my siding blew off and a lot of hedge damage. I’m so lucky that my house was built on a mound.
Thx for the vid, helped a ton with mine. I too had to paint some parts as shipping scratched the crap out of it. Anyone else that has this notice the front end is noticably have a heavier feel to it? I realize between this and a steel skid plate its about 80lbs heavier but damnnn
Glad it helped, I have had mine one for probably a years with no issues. It’s definitely a lot heavier than the plastic one. My next job is a gas tank skid plate. Hey, have a great day.
I felt so bad for him, it ended costing $1300. The crazy part was, when he Brock the rear glass, I was at the ford dealer having my Bronco’s rear glass replaced. Hey, have a great day.
Hello, under 40mph there is nothing, once I hit 45MPH there is a humming noise. It’s not that bad but I can hear it. I am going to experiment with adding some u channel weather stripping to the bottom on the front air dam to see if that stops the hum. I think it’s caused by that 1 inch of space below the front. I don’t think that there is going to be any rack without some noise. But I toss my paddle-board on that rack all the time so I have to live with the noise. Hope this helped, good luck with your choice.
In my opinion these are the best, they are build extremely solid, they look great. I haven hit ant rocks with them, but I would have 100% confidence in them protecting my Bronco. Good luck in your decision.
Fred, I have a '24 XLT. I want to purchase these lights, but they have so many negative reviews. Your video is 4 months old now. Has your son had any issues? I belong to a carwash club and run my Maverick through about ever other day and I'm worried about moisture.
Hello, I love my lighted I have had them on form5 and on6 months. I don’t go through the car wash but I live in Florida which gets sun almost daily. It’s a tough decision, a lot of people just stay Lucien the back. Good luck in what ever you decide.
I love mine, I’ve had it 1 1/2 years. Not 1 issues and it just fits my life perfectly. The money I save on gas basically pay for the Maverick. Hey, thanks for the comment and have a great day.
Thanks, I’m so glad that I changed it out. My kids use it every day.. now someone a few comments back told me that this amazon plug will plug into the socket connection, it would make the wiring easier, but I did not personally use it. If you do let me know how it works out. Thanks amzn.to/3XkSeU0
I first viewed another video on changing the Maverick cabin air filter and they completely skipped the whole glove box part. Lol. Your video is very well done. Good job!
Thank you, I feel that if I’m going to make a video I don’t want to skip parts that people will need to know. But my video are pretty long. Hey have a great weekend.
