You are very welcome, I’m glad I could help make it easier. What are you doing for a skid plate? A couple of us have modified our plastic one until we get a metal one. You sir have a happy and safe new year. Also if you haven’t subscribe, could you I am getting very close the that magical 1000 subscribers mark. Thanks you
Thank you for this video - the difference between this and the OEM modular front bumper appears to be that this one does not allow you to remove the wings (the lower part of the ends of the bumper). Otherwise this is a fantastic option
Thank you, yes it that seams to be the only major difference. I have had mine on for a year or so and have no complaints. I live in Florida close to the ocean and drive on the beach a lot. I haven’t had and rust issues. It actually a great bumper for the money. Check out my rear bumper video. That a nice one also. Hey, have a great day.
Thx for the vid, helped a ton with mine. I too had to paint some parts as shipping scratched the crap out of it. Anyone else that has this notice the front end is noticably have a heavier feel to it? I realize between this and a steel skid plate its about 80lbs heavier but damnnn
Glad it helped, I have had mine one for probably a years with no issues. It’s definitely a lot heavier than the plastic one. My next job is a gas tank skid plate. Hey, have a great day.
O no get his bumper does not have the holes. If you look at my rear bumper video. That company Hooke road has a hole bunch of bumpers. There is also a 10% coupons on that video. Otherwise you would have to drill out the holes and I’ve seen plastic holders for the sensors. Just make sure you paint the holes and the rear of the bumper well. Let me know if there’s anything I can help you with the install. Good luck
The link to the bumper is in the description section of the video. Here’s a copy. I’m not sure about the sensor holes. When you go to the link you can ask them. Good luck, amzn.to/48LS10M
I do not believe that there is that option, but I replaced my rear bumper, look at that video, there is a discount code and they make really nice bumpers at a reasonable price.
I just cut my plastics one so it could fit. You can see it pretty good in later videos. It came out very good. I do not plan on doing some off-roading yet but when I do, I am going to have to spend the money on an entire set. I can help you with the cutting part if you want that for now
Here is how I did it to the plastic. Thanks. So I lined up the bolt holes and I cut the skid plate across the top. Making sure that I had 2 inches or so longer so it would tuck above the lower edge of the bumper. This way it won't flap around on the highway. It looks pretty good until I buy a metal one. If you watch the beginning of this video you can see it pretty good. Just pause the video and take a photo and zoom in. Any questions just ask. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2ivKssJAQ8k.htmlsi=Vy_7XmsO1uTyXmrl
Great job thanks for sharing with everyone I definitely learned a few things from this. I would love to see what plate you ended up with. Thanks. 👏🏼👍🏼😊
Thanks, the bumper is holding up well. I haven’t replaced the skid plate yet, I just modified my plastic one and painted it. The same company sells a factory skid plate for $160. I am now shopping skid plates because I want to start going off road, they are all so expensive.
Did the same upgrade about the same time you did yours. This sure would have helped putting it together. I gave mine 3 coats of black spray paint. Sure loved having the 600.00 in my pocket instead of going to Ford 😂
Thanks, I think it looks great. And saving the money is the best. If you haven’t Can you please subscribe, I’m almost at the magical 1000 subscribers mark. Thanks have a great day.
Fred, this is the most thorough video on a bumper change with a Chinese replacement that I have seen anywhere. Great job on the video and on the bumper. Your Bronco looks great. Keep up the great content.
Thanks, I hate it when you watch a video try to do it and there are a whole bunch of steps missing. So I try to show everything. Hey, have a great day.

What the hell is wrong with companies that you buy your favorite parts from, and they don't include any type of instruction sheet. When you order your replacement part ask for a sheet with instructions for your bumper and Bronco. I really hope the bumper holds together and protects your Bronco from a parking lot idiot driver. Will your new bumper hold a winch if you decide to install one? Great review, Fred.
Thanks, this is like the 3rd thing that hasn’t included direction and the 2 that did have direction were horrible. I have had the bumper for 3 days and the more I look at it the better I like it. It has all the holes to add whatever the Modular Bumper from ford can hold. Next is the fog lights. Hey thanks for the comment and you have a great day.
I thought you could just remove the recovery hooks? I’ll have to watch this again maybe you mentioned why you cut the instead of just unbolting them. I am looking for a replacement bumper too.
The tow hooks are part of the intercooler mounts on the bottom, you can order the set that doesn’t have them or you can cut them off. The problem is they stick out and interfere with the bumper when trying to mount it. I just went from the plastic bumper to the metal capable bumper and had to do it.
Hey, so the models with the plastic bumper, have the recovery hooks welded to the inter cooler bracket. So you have two options. 1) you but inter cooler brackets from Ford that do not have the hooks welded on. But when you unbolt the bracket you need to make sure your inter cooler is supported. Or 2) just cut the hooks off. Now no one is going to want you old brackets and no metal bumper will either fit or look good with the original hooks. Let me know if this makes sense. Also I’m so close to 1000 subscribers. If you haven’t yet could you please subscribe? Thanks
Here you go. amzn.to/3sVqTN0 Also Ieverything is in the description section under the video. I have had mine for several months now and it’s been great.
Just finished assembling the bumper thanks to your video! So thankful that you created this. I have a lot of hardware left over though…not sure if you did. Anyways next step INSTALL!
I had a ton of left over hardware, not really sure why that added so much. I’ve had it on for a little over a month and love the look of it. I’m very happy. Be careful with the sawzall and good luck. If you haven’t already can you please subscribe, I’m very close to the magical 1000 subscribers. Any questions, feel free to ask. Have a great day
I’m not sure what you mean, the bumper looks. After I cleaned up the tow hooks they look very good. I’m happy with the bumper. Thanks have a great holiday.
@@fredsgarage1925 just wondering if the aftermarket accessories add on points (ie. lights, fog lights on the end caps, bull bars etc) look like the points from the oem bumper. Thanks for the fast response and happy holidays.
Thanks, I don’t have any aftermarket accessories, but it looks like all the bolts are all in the spaces. The fog lights would definitely fit in the holes. Can’t beat it for the price. Have a great day
No, you would have to do the same thing. You actually have it better because you could use your fog light wiring for fog lights that fit the metal bumper. The fog lights on the plastic bumper will not fit because they are round.
Makes sense! Plug and play once I find the correct fog lights for that modular bumper. How are you liking the bumper so far? Thanks for the quick reply! @@fredsgarage1925
I’ve had it for about two months now and I have absolutely no complaints. I love the look of it it’s held up perfect and it looks so much better than the plastic bumper. I’m uploading a rear bumper video on Monday.
@@TzviP I added red tow hooks. 1 thing I forgot we have plastic front skid plates. You can cut your plastic one ( I can show you how ) to work until you buy a metal one. Just don’t do any heavy off-roading with our full metal skid plates.
Thanks, I have had it on for a month or so and am very happy with it. Now it’s not a $1000 bumper but I wasn’t going to spend that much money on a bumper. To each their own. Like everything in life, some people like, some people hate it. Hey have a great day.
I haven’t had any rust at all but I live in Florida. I also added 2 coats of gloss black paint because I like the gloss black and green look. I will tell you that I just replaced my rear bumper, when I removed the plastic one there was surface rust inside my driver side frame rail, so I sprayed that with rust inhibitor. I wish I could tell you more.
I know it’s only been 2 months and you said you would update at 6 months and likely wouldn’t rust yet. Good to know about the rear. I’ve been trying to take off my fenders and wipe the salt off where I can. Maybe I should think about the bumper. I took off my side steps last summer and sprayed them but should do it again
@Tristam21 you know what might good idea if I lived where you live. I have had boats in the ocean for 30 years and they use sacrificial zincs. I don’t know if you know how that works but basically the zink will wear away and save the metal from the salt. RU-vid boat zinks. You just need to bolt it on so it touches the metal. I don’t know if that would work. I take it, it’s the salt that eats up your metal in Minnesota. My side steps are made by RC they are side steps and rockers. They look amazing. I am really happy with the look of the bumper, and there aren’t any tubes to hold the salt. You would just have to rinse the back real good.
@@fredsgarage1925 awesome thanks I’ll look into it! I’ve also thought about undercoating but haven’t looked into it a ton. But only 2 years and I can see under body rust and forming around many bolts.
@Tristam21 I lived up north for most of my life. I don’t know if it’s the same where you are, but they would sprinkle rock salt all over the road during the winter. That stuff would eat up cars. All I could really do is try my best to wash it off. Good luck
