Great video! I'm FAR from an expert, but I think the units you don't rate very highly(Farseer & Harlequin) are both pretty good into orks specifically. Mind War on the Farseer is good for sniping out the Big Mek which orks tend to rely on pretty heavily in t1, he's a pretty significant bully. Harlequin is good for stealth detecting and tieing up Tankbusters in melee later on, since Eldar tend to have pretty weak stealth detection and busters are the main counter to the Falcon shenanigans.
This is a short Eldar guide, courtesy of Adeptus Administratum. 1) acquire Boltpistol (or any sufficiently powerful handheld weapon, most likely of Imperial origin), 2) remove helmet if present, 3) apply muzzle to your side of your head (or any other structurally inferior part of your head, like inside of your mouth), 4) praise the Emperor! 5) squeeze the trigger, 6) repeat previous step if necessary.
I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I play against computer sisters - if I dont rush them down IMMEDIATELY, I get shat on. No chance. No hope. They just woop my ass. No matter what race I play, no matter what I try. But I play sisters against any race, I get shat on big time, to the point that playing sisters gets pointless. I am fine with every other race, even with necrons I beat the AI 1v2 on hardest campaign difficulty.
Alternate imperial fist approved tactic: try to expand, lose a squad or two, fortify your main base until it takes a 40 minute long siege for 3 armies at once to break Have the highest kill count by hundreds even though you lost
if i had talent like you ill be able to have more fun in rts games and beat a normal difficulty level npc :( sad times.... do you have a guide on dow 2 imperial guards??
Stealthsuit scouts are not trash, they are worth reinforcing if you expect to receive an early rush. And at T2 their fusion blasters are strong against vehicles.
The video title "I spent over a month learning Tau and this is the best I could do" could lead one to assume that you mean the language and not how to play them. - That's what I assumed when I read it.
I appreciate the video. Here is a suggestion. Comment on a replay of that game and explain building and teching timings. When to go t2 what you do to react to what etc. :)
If the other player went for chaos space marines, trust me, the hall of blood build order would be a joke. I tried to reinvigorate my inner drukhari by having a 3v3v1 in Jaglanda lowlands with a Csm AI nearby. Only a platoon of 9 Helions and a few reaver jet bikes managed to stabilize my line and salvage my situation by swarming the Chaos Lord. I've tried more matches after that, to devasting results for my playthrough.

Stealth suits have access to infiltration early-mid game. Tau are much like the eldar where they trade in general units for specialized infantry. Fire warriors have extreme range for general infantry. This makes Stealth suits great for scouting and their weapons are well optimized for rapid ambush attacks.
I disagree that tau is only on the defencive. Yes, fire warriors is a defencive unit, but early game Vespids and Tau komannder harass can gain you a LOT of room. So rather then setting up defence at your base you can set up the defence at the middle of a map, or under opponents base (and suddenly it's a siege!) Also, fire warriors are extreamly position dependend. Right positioning with scatter formation where frontline can reatreat under the cover of the other squads, trick into the mines and such can make miracles.
In my experience, simply rushing to put out Chimera as soon as possible is extremely effective. Especially with grenade launchers knocking enemies over to be mowed down.
Vanilla, did get camera mod for the zoom and a small map pack that just remasters lightly a few popular MP maps, but generally just the non-remastered maps are played
