Welcome to my channel, it operates like I do... sporadic, incoherent and all over the place. If you can keep up your doing better than me but I'm a truck driver, motorcyclist and bus driver just doing what I love most... driving as many types of vehicles to as many places as possible all over the world.
New videos on Saturdays... As long as I haven't gone travelling, been lazy or fallen behind. (which happens often)
Hi Mate, nice video, i am a truck enthusiast from Scotland, i now work in Denmark and work for MAN in Copenhagen (2 stroke marine diesel) this old engine is a far cry from todays methanol and future ammonia running engines!😂 - give me diesel anyday!! nice trip and take it easy!
Yet again another world class video, Looking forward to watching next weeks video, Was the park up in Hamburg you were talking about the one by the football stadium as I stayed there for the weekend many years ago. Hamburg was a really beautiful place from what I remember of it. Take care and best wishes 👍
You were saying something about taking breaks on the ferry, you said won’t be able to do in a few years. I haven’t heard about this.what’s happening. Brilliant videos, keep em coming.
With the tunnel being built the ferry service will most likely close. As you’ll drive straight through there will be no opportunity to stop for a break.
@@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu Ahh, I must have misheard. Yes, nowhere near as bad and far more reasonable. Your videos are getting better over time. I think you're the best of the RU-vid lorry drivers, these days. You capture the parts I want to see and tie the journey up just right from a viewers perspective. They are nicely edited videos and I really enjoy these European lorry driving jaunts.
I'm in ,popped up on phone my favorite prog. Drop everything, coffee ,sit and enjoy. Would have liked to have seen that sea plane take off. Supposed to be having something like that set up in kalamata. Flying to the islands, crete mainly. But as always this is greece 🇬🇷 and it's all gone quiet. Funds have been allocated. That will disappear into someone's pocket never to be seen again. Yer,vid good ,just gets better . That engine is enormous. Ships engine l guess.Interesting place ,big boys toys 😂. Looking forward to the next bit. Stay safe my friend.
True, as a coach driver myself, I don't describe my job as a bus driver, that's stop after stop on a circular route, just me being picky I guess, but i love videos, keep up the great work
The bus parking you showed is being replaced finally by a real bus terminal. So no more bicyclists and passengers dodging each other on the bike path. Didn't know about Diesel House, that looks interesting
75 kr for the scooter is about the same price as a 24 hours citypass for public transport. Public transport is: Train, S-train (red ones), Metro (white ones), Buses and Water Buses (yellow ones). Absolutely worth if you have to "kill" 24 hours in CPH. Download DOT to your phone. The Fehmarn Belt tunnel is planned to be ready in 2029. If the Germans can get their finger out, they are already behind. If anybody wants to no more of this giga project, here is a British produced documentary on the subject. It is worth seeing, very well produced. Video title:"The Insane Scale of Europe’s New Mega-Tunnel". Yes, the project requires new railway (double tracked and highspeed (250 km/h) and motorway to Lübeck.
When you crossed the cable stay bridge and its companion bridge, on your right there was construction going on for a replacement of the Storstrøm bridge, which will have a new 2 lane road, and 2 raillines, part of a project to upgrade the rail connection from Copenhagen to Hamburg. Similarly the germans are also upgrading and replacing their rail and road on the route to connect with the Femern tunnel being built. The ferries still have rail tracks on, but the line is not in use, international trains take the trip across the Great Belt across Funen and down Jutland peninsula. When the entire project is finished you can ride highspeedrail all the way from Copenhagen to Hamburg, and drive on a motorway the same route. Unsurprisingly the German side is the one lagging behind on their parts of the project.
@@Dot2Trappy There are signs along the motorway that tell you how far the next few services are. Or the services you pass by show the distance to the next one.
This video was of great interest to me as we’ve just come back from a road trip to Rugen Island in north east Germany. We used virtually the same route as you for the outward journey but the road between Eindhoven and Venlo was closed so we had to divert via Arnhem to reach Osnabruck for our first overnight stop. Came back via Bremen and Amsterdam.
Always enjoy your Vids and thanks for bringing us along, always wondered why there are no reversing cameras on HGV Trailers ? the tech is available and probably not too expensive, very little in relation to the overall value of the Unit, surely they would benefit for even the most experienced drivers reversing as you did now, reversing on to awkward bays, blind siding etc ?
Yes, Germany allow 25 meters truck. But Germany is Germany, they don't allow higher weight, that's why you only see a few of them in Germany. In Scandinavia and Finland, op to 60 ton is allowed. Trials in Sweden with 30m and 90 ton is ongoing. I know Danish authorities are following these trials. Big savings on fuel and CO2 emission has been proved. In Denmark, we have 0 fatalities, with the big ones involved. The big trucks have been here permanently since 2011. Just to calm down sceptic people.
Cool beans! Was about to suggest, when you couldn't drive in Germany, that you go west over the bridge in Denmark in stead, but found out the distance from Padborg and Puttgarden to Hamburg is roughly the same, so nothing spared really. To the contrary you'd be burning more fuel and not catching a break on the boat, and then it's 20mins/½hour longer anyway. Guess it would only be for a change of scenery, or the boat laid up in high winds or something. Anyway, super vid. Safe travels to you.
Yes, the Femern tunnel will be a toll road, the booths will be on the danish side as Denmark is footing the bill for it, Germany is only paying for upgrades of roads and rail on land on their side.
Absolutely superb video as always, Best trucking videos on You Tube by a million miles, Looking forward to watching the rest of your trip to Denmark, Take care & Best wishes
@DTWTheWanderingMuzungu no i can tell and everday is different and enjoyable and your kind off more home and got time to yourself aslong as you enjoy it but keep up the vids the are really enjoyable
Brilliant video, Thanks for taking us along! I really appreciate all the tips and advice you give, Truly is invaluable for someone who hopefully will be doing my Hgv lessons soon so thank you. Really enjoy your videos, Take care and have a lovely weekend
Great vlog as usual . Used the glove on the floor measurement by the front wheel a few times when parking close. Older driver showed me when I was a newby
My apologies, seem to recall asking you this a few months ago, have you tride to get on F1 European work? . I think they double up on drivers so they can continue driving without the need to stop, guess it means sharing the truck though with another driver.
