I saw one of these in my rear view mirror once, bright green and I think it had a xenon kit and those teardrop eyes looked so nice and it just kept replaying in my mind. Out of the blue I decided to apply for a theory test which is cheap here in UK, didn't revise just wanted to see how hard it is expecting to fail but I passed. (most questions were common sense) Then I went for a practical, locked my brakes up on emergency braking part but because I felt them lock up and let go trying to regain control the examiner saw that and was happy that I tried to control it and passed me, legend. Long story short ended up buying a Honda Hornet. lmao Such is life.
The Ninjas are nice lol Kawasaki makes some pretty sweet bikes. I actually had to look up what a theory test was lol so what's the difference between a theory test and a practical test? Also nice lol the examiner saw that you had the skill. How do you like the Honda Hornet? The Honda Hornet is a nice bike.
There should be other brands available on Amazon if you can't find the one that's in my video. It worked perfectly fine when I had installed mine and there weren't any issues. Unfortunately I don't have the truck anymore. I sold it about 2 years ago, but it was still working fine when I owned the truck. Honestly it's worth the buy if you're in a financial pinch and can't get a name brand MAF sensor.
Good video. I have a 2001 Montero Sport. Was having issues with tension pulley. Your video shows me where it is. I am a 73 year old lady. I am working from the top. Can't remove tire to work from side. My new alternator should be here tomorrow from Amazon. Happy 4th of July 🎉today.
Thank you so much! I'm glad my video was able to help you! Oh wow a hard working woman! Yeah it's definitely possible to do the alternator install from the top of the engine bay. In my video I just showed an alternative option doing the install from the wheel well for direct access, but it can be installed either or. Hope the install went well for you! Happy belated 4th!
I bought my CAI from Amazon. Although I sold my Montero a couple years ago I do still have the CAI if you're interested? Maybe sell you my CAI with other Montero parts that I have?
I just replaced my old radiator with a new one today. But I noticed that the condenser fan isnt working on my 2002 Montero Sport, so your video is very informative.
The screws are mainly for the factory to keep the rotors on. You don't necessarily need them. The rotors get sandwiched between the hub and the wheels. As long as you have the lug nuts torqued to spec then you should be fine.
Looks like they have some on eBay? www.ebay.com/itm/126258099972?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=KXqj-hgnTMu&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=OgJp-5bPS5W&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
No problem! At the time I had an EGR code and a MAF sensor code. Which went away once I installed the new EGR and MAF sensor. Before I did have misfire codes, but that went away when I installed new spark plugs and wires.
Hey guys, just an update on the bike. I recently removed a lot of these parts and not that any bad but I purchased a second bike to use for touring and wanted to remove some of the extras off of the rocket. I did remove the rack on the back along with the GT backrest because I didn’t anticipate having a passenger . I remove the saddlebags in the brackets and got the R blank out plates and a new undertail piece to cover the holes from the brackets I removed the Corbin passenger back rest. I also switched from the GT controls to the R controls which is a world of difference doing this. I may not need that driver back rest daily. That’s probably gonna come off the bike a couple things that did stay on right now from the video is the windshield even though I went down to the shorter windshield and I leave it and the lowest setting, it’s still actually works really well Throw the air over my head and my helmet pretty good. The hand guards are still on for now with the windshield, but I am thinking about going back to the factory windscreen and selling off those parts , in the end from this video I am I won’t have a lot of the custom stuff left on it. I do have the rear full tail hugger installed an extension on the front fender and that’s just to keep some of the dirt and rainwater off the bike and off of me that’s probably gonna stay on the Corbin Cito probably stay on with out the back rests, and yeah you know I think that’s about it other than the phone mount and the other of the bar extensions those are those worked out pretty good so another video coming out on the dark channel not really how to it’s just a quick figure out how to put the controls on from the GT controls And hopefully when that’s done editing it’ll help somebody out, like comment and subscribe , to all who watched and like thank you we appreciate it
WHERE IS THE REV I MEAN GOSH I WISH I NVM I HEAR IT SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD IM COMMENTING WHILE WATCHING DANG U FAST FAST AND NON FURIOUS PULLIN UP ON ME LIKE DAT PAN TO MOTORCYCLE IS WEIRD BC IM HERE FOR THE SOUL BABY
So I guess you didn't swap out the header copper gaskets? If they leak from already haven been torqued down by the old header the ticking sound will make you think its a valve adjustment but its not, its those copper gaskets they must be torqued down evenly to spec so that they crush flat and don't leak, if you don't torque them you can burn the gaskets and have a leak, I think they are just over $10 each.😮
Now that I think about it. I definitely did not lol but good to know now! I’m going to have to get myself a new set of gaskets lol thanks for the info!
There’s various symptoms that lead to the EGR code. Knocking noises, rough idling, and poor vehicle performance are some symptoms for a poor EGR valve. After doing the repair my EGR code went away.
Thanks for the video, I am getting my new R in April and already have the Garmin Zumo XT2 but had no idea that I would need a special mounting plate to install it centered until I watched your video and I have 2 questions. - What size bolts did you end up using for that with the risers? - I have the Garmin mounting kit that came with my Zumo XT2, is that sufficient to bring the Zumo above the TFT or did you use another mod for that?
No problem! Oh nice! So for your first question my friend just took the bolts to a local hardware store and matched the threads to longer bolts. He forgot what size bolts he got though. As for your second question he said that he doesn’t know because he doesn’t have that.
Didn't need new calipers. Just needed to remove those stuck slide pins, clean them and lube them or just replace and lube them and your pads would've worn evenly again. Those need to be removed and cleaned every brake job as part of maintenance
I figured lol I honestly had a hard time removing the old pins and figured to just get a new set of calipers instead of trying to rebuild it. Especially since my uncle had the same OEM calipers on since he owned it before. Also it was more content to show on how to install the calipers lol I would say now I know for next time but unfortunately I don’t own the truck anymore.
Actually I lied lol I just found it on Amazon BIKELITEZ fits the Kawasaki 07-08 ZX6 Integrated Tail Light Conversion Kit Fender Eliminator ZX6R a.co/d/1MvLlJa
Haha ya, Unfortunately, I believe I did not have box wrench the correct size that day with me. 🤷🏼♂️ I also aint gunna lie I pack a pair on the road with a crescent wrench
