Diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2010. I started experimenting with changing my diet, which I documented on this channel.
Fast forward 6 years and I graduated with my Master's Degree in Exercise Science, studying how exercise can be used to treat Fibromyalgia. I know have a 12-week group program called Fibro Fit Warriors where I teach other Fibro Warriors how to build strength and increase energy so they can get sh*t done without flaring.

So I just got my first medium box that was discounted but did have to pay shipping, total was $108.99...the disappointing thing was the box was leaking off the Fed Ex truck, it was warm to the touch before we opened it, if there was dry ice in it, it had melted completely and some of the meat was already defrosted or in the middle of defrosting...I immediately took pictures and placed all the meat in our freezer...but I'm afraid to ingest any of it. The vacuum sealing of the ground beef was compromised too. I then immediately called the company up to demand a refund &/or return as well as cancel my account, they did agree to do this so we'll see if they make good.

My bison n crabcakes were cool not frozen called them they credit me $50 I do not recommend buying anything from good chop Had @ 1 teaspoon of dry ice in box upon delivery In July 2024

i am 42 i also have fibro and Im on a long road to a competition i wasnt so health focused when i was younger and i really want to do this, its how i found your channel. im trying to seek out as much info on it as possible i dont have the pain as much as i have the short circut feeling in my chest and fatigue, im working with a naturalpath and Drs and Weight Watchers im not going to give up intill i figure this out :) im totally cheering you on keep posting stuff on bodybuilding!

COLD water dipping and sauna, running, somatic exercise, stretching, apple cider vinegar daily all this has put me in to remission

Dr. Sean Mackey the chief of the Stanford Pain Clinic has been studyiing fibro and he mentioned acetyl l carnitine which is an over the counter supplement, antioxidant for the brain (and body). A few yrs ago they discovered something called "the glymphatic system" which has glial cells that act as the custodians/janitors of the brain and nervous system. So they clean up AT NIGHT (DURING FIRST FEW HRS OF SLEEP I BELIEVE....) all the zombie cells and stuff that need to be cleaned up but with fibromyalgia the glial cells are OVERACTIVE/HYPERACTIVE and just need some help in adjusting/balancing. I started Acetyl L Carnitine in the dose he recommends 1000mg in am then again in pm and my symptoms WERE HELPED 100000%. NOW I am fine, no fibro. That has been exactly 1 year ago. I'm going to check ot the whole 30 diet. Never heard of it. But all the other stuff I practice anyway. Best of luck to all of you!!

I have sever cronic fatigue. Exercise is a no go. Rest only thing helps me feel better and works. Other wise I get ill

I was diagnosed in May 2019, just as I started a new journey into going back to college and studying medicine. I’ve never successfully managed to adjust my diet. I know what I should and shouldn’t eat, but with shifts, studying and family life, this is harder than you think!! Could you help? 😁

I can’t sleep because I have so much pain in my legs. I toss and turn all night and I am awake every hour and I have to get up in the middle of the night and do physical therapy sometimes twice. I don’t know what to do.

YMMV Plenty of bad experiences but this is the case for any meat subscription. Mostly has to do with shipping/logistics/customer service Grunts are underpaid and managed poorly leading to errors. IF you don't run into misfortune, the actual quality/quantity for price is okay, better than Omaha Steaks at least The discounts are marketing bait though (you get what you pay for, not a steal), and Costco, even Safeway might be better if available Great video!

I've had Fibro last 10 years, every year on q in Ramadan when we fast 18hrs, the pain hugely reduces, due to the small window to eat, I ensured I ate wholemeal, fruits, nuts, dates, water, I'd always lose weight and feel great, I believe the stress reduced due to feeling more connected to my faith, I just wish I had the determination to keep it going after 😔

Ah the standing desk looks so good I want one myself to help on days where I'm just not comfortable sitting but they're hella expensive. A big concern of mine about starting a channel are the negative comments, there are inevitably going to be people who get angry because your experience of fibro doesn't match theirs, or people who just don't believe and it's a frightening thing.

Question does anyone in the comment section Know if they have had a past EBV "mono" infection ? Because i know from a young age i had "pain". Fibro just started becoming a "hmm" thing in the 90s and so you could barley touch my skin and it was lilke i had been punched so hard, Bruised easily, but always active, lived off cheese and was never ever small as a kid. It wasn't until i quit my job and went from working two to three jobs and became a stay at home mom of 4 who homeschools, did the pain just get worse, It was mostly after two infections with covid and my last child did it get so bad that i feel like i have a terminal illness, I have done every test known to man, Nothing comes back off, Only thing that has is the Antibodies for EBV and i dont ever remember having that as a child. I can say that Covid this last time in december was every symptom of mono. The infection itself didnt cause issues it was the 2 week after that my whole life changed for the worse. Now i am Doing everything and researching everything to help me understand. I start clean tomorrow with food and fitness, But i am misrable and i just want to be better :(

Great video!! I'll post everything I do in case this is helpful for someone: I have fibro and I do all these things mentioned in the video. I also take 30mg of duloxetine (also helpful - but I'm getting to a stage where I can hopefully live without meds, my doctor and I will try soon). Other big game changers were the things below: (by the way, talk to you doctor to se if you can try them out, and yes, I know, it's very expensive, I even had to change career to allow me to be able to afford treatments...) * PEA (=PALMITOYLETHANOLAMIDE). My ortho specialized in chronic pain prescribed this. It's basically for the pain. I also supplement (with the help of an endocronologist) * Q10 * Magnesium chelate * Alfa-lipolic acid * Vitamin D3 * Vitamin B3, * B6, *B9 (as methylfolate) *B12 (as methylcobalamine) * L Taurine * Zinc * Tyrosine * L Triptophan * Selenium * Kelp iodine * Collagen type II and Hyaluronic acid (for tendons - this was was precribed by my ortho) * Vegan omega 3 DHA (because of my vegan diet) * Probiotics to improve gut microbiota. My nutritionist changes them from type to time. I did a genetic testing of my gut microbiome to assess what was going wrong.Based on that she rotates the probiotics I take. * Phyical Therapy for Myofascial pain with acupressure + Hot showers + Massages * CANABIDIOL My doctor prescribed medicinal canabidiol (the organic type, not the synthesized that comes with additives). I haven't tried that out yet as it did not arrived. But just so you know, this is one possible treatment. * TOXIN-FREE LIFE (if that is even possible lol) One lifestyle change that I still don't have the money to afford, but hopefully one day I will, it's to eliminate most modern toxins from my home. Research shows that the liver of ppl with fibro has more difficulties to eliminate modern day toxins. So it becomes tantamount to buy organic products, try as much as you can to eliminate phthalates, PFA contaminated foods, and a gazillion other things. Even mould in your air conditioner or books can give you painful mycotoxin inflammation. One solution I adopted that has helped me so much (I'm a scholar with a huge library, some of them are very old and of historical importance so I can't let them go), is to not keep my books where I sleep and work. * NEUROMODULATORS I have also heard that the FDA just approved them, but since I don't live in the US anymore, this technology is not in my current country yet. In one word: exhausting; But there is still room for improvement for all of us! A shred of hope!

In 2020 I went on a plant-based diet (Vegan Mediterranean with some Asian and Caribbean foods too) and I found that greatly improved my fibromyalgia symptoms. Maybe because my concurrent IBS and gut hypersensitivity went away after a few months.

Sleep hygiene is #1, getting at least 7 hours of quality sleep.Of course when I am in remission that seemingly goes out the window. I went a couple years in remission but recently flared up. Clonazapam a few hours before bed along with a hot bath really helps lossen and soothe my muscles and I sleep much deeper. Second is reducing stress and practicing mindful meditation to calm the nervous system. Practice anything that calms you or brings you joy, such as walking or petting your cat or dog. And taboo as it may seem, also have good sex or masturbate. Next, stretching each muscle group out and even light weight training is important, you have to keep the muscles working, don't just sit feeling terrible in bed or a chair. Lastly, avoid caffeine and alcohol, and any foods that you know to be sensitive to. Some are sensitive to gluten and dairy, you only need to avoid if you are sensitive or intolerant.

@FibroFitWarriors I try to exercise, but it hurts. I am in menopause, too. Is soy bad for you? Is corn bad for you? I am trying to figure out what to eat. I am going gluten-free again. Are those protein shakes that have monk fruit and stuff ok? I don't know what to eat and have been underweight before. I am saving for your next class. You are my inspiration!
