I have mumbling about games all my life and know I have a place too mumble about them. If you like games and mumbling about them You found the right place. Mumble Mumble Mumb....
I think we'll slowly see a revamp of triple A development to something more sustainable over the years. They got a MASSIVE boom of new players as gaming became more popular and the pandemic, but it's not sustainable growth.
Fallout 4 has been out for so long and the modding community has done so much for it, that I can't see how a Fallout 5 could go without us saying "but this is just a modded Fallout 4!"
This title implies that Starfield is even close to any of the other FallOut games. It is only a bit better than brotherhood of steel and that game is a steaming pile of horseshit.
As far as going somewhere else, unlikely, there is a lot of America they haven't covered. They could go to the South, Florida, swamps and ruins, etc. or New York. Go back to the subways...
FO4 was in development for 7 years, I really don't see them getting Fallout 5 in market in time to take advantage of the show's popularity, even if it gets 5 seasons.
@@MumblinGamer True, but is there any reason to believe they have been working on 5 since then? I assume the work has been going into 76 and then the new Elder Scrolls. I'd be happy to be wrong if the new one comes out before the end of the decade.
@MumblinGamer He does lol His interviews says it all. I've watch every one of his interviews. He said the fallout game have and will always be in the usa, now and in the future.
Firstly, lets raise the bar a little bit. FO5 needs to be as good as 3 or NV or I'm not touching it. 76 is mediocre garbage. Starfield is space-grade ass. And I'm sick of playing the same "bethesda" game over and over with different skins. If they can't change how they design their games I'm gone for good.
It wont be beter todd takes acid now this is ware all his new ideas come from now + atleast its noland & kilter films writing fallout tv show & not todd
Well star field and 76 are shit so it wouldn't be hard. Give the franchise to obsidian again. Also. No. It's an American game that retro style wasn't in the uk
Metroid Prime 4 is about the only AAA title I'm exited for. And it's only because it's kinda just an elevated AA title from a franchise Nintendo finally decided to dig out of it's grave. I hope it'll be good. Oh also Resident Evil. I think capcom is finally on the right track.
fallout isn't really a franchise that should have its games set outside the US furthest I'd say it should go should be to canada or mexico as those are countries directly on the US border but the main game won't be set there it would likely just be DLC. beside fallout new york, fallout chicago, or even fallout texas would be sick as fuck you have 50 states with several bits of lore for the fallout franchise to explore you don't need to leave the US for the next fallout game.
I think Bethesda really needs to let another team make the next Fallout game. they have fumbled the bag twice on Fallout, and they're writing has took a massive nose dive.
100% agreed, but I doubt Todd is willing to let go of his precious franchise for fear of being showed up again. But I do hold out hope for Microsoft to step in and say "You're done, someone else is gonna handle it, because we spent 7B dollars on you and we're gonna need more than 1 game per decade."
@@soxs9527 well it's released 5 years later, sure it had 'better graphics' but you can't even say it aged well. It looked outdated on release if you ask me
Beth already confirm fallout is more of a American game in their eyes, but Fallout London if it is well done, could allow them to maybe consider a spin off series exploring the world, Fallout Outlands or something
Fallout outside of America doesn't work, the entire world and lore is built around American culture and history. It's like if you tried making a Stalker game set in Africa. A game in Canada could work with it being annexed by the US before the war, that's really the only other country that could work though.
As an American I agree, I would LOVE to have games set in other areas of the world, see what the effects have been on them and as I explore learn about what life was like for them before the bombs fell.
Maybe good idea is to look up north or south, in fallout universe US have made mess in Canada and Mexico so I think natural movement here is to explore these countries.
You lost me and failed to explain how AAA dying is bad Indies take over the gaming? How is that bad?? It's absolute win! Where passion and care take over instead of corporate greed politics of AAA
@@MumblinGamer Nah, it will promote healthy competition among indy games where the best and quality will rise to top. Personally I can't find any games that would interest me these days and completely dull to photo realistic games of AAA. They feel restrictive and bland, not very flexiable in stylistic apartment due them needing be realistic looking. Not to mention I might not able run or have very bad performance because they cranking graphics in their games and I can't afford buying new pc, especially now when there huge economic crisis. Indy games have more variety, innovative, cheaper and most of the time not very high hardware demanding to run them.
*Gaming has been slowly dying since 2012 due to lack of innovation and creativity but now its just being outright MURDERED 💀 Bethesda, EA, 2K, Ubisoft, Square Enix have all failed miserably the past 5 years and now its up to Rockstar Games 🕵 if GTA6 is mid, console gaming as we know it will cease to exist* 👎
The gaming industry will be fine. The mainstream AAA games? Probably gonna go into decline, or die. Still, feels like AA, indie, and older games, will fill that void. Many younger gamers, are turning to older games and other old pop culture. Because the newer, modern games, are so uninspired.
I hope it's the end for american aaa games Until there are new resident evil, souls games, final fantasy games and new vr games i'm ok Can't wait to see ubisoft go bankrupt and never come back
