How can I meet more gun enthusiasts in my area? I’m new to guns just turned 30 need to practice and feel having a buddy or 2 to help me along the way would be great. I did grow up with rifles ahotguns and revolvers but never had a handgun
Have this one in 9mm and 40 , both are excellent products and pistols, the 740 slim is a handful, but I have it for a back up second choice and for close range like if some j-wad tried to break in or any other vermin scum, but they are going to meet my 45 acp and 357 magnum,or 357 sig and 10 mm before they meet my 40 and 9 mm, they are back up,or my Bulldog a very nice 44 200gr one
I picked up a gen1 716 from a buddy about 6 months, but im the only person to ever shoot it since he bought it 10+yrs ago. He bought a SIGHTMARK 8.5-25x50 scope for it and I mounted it and sighted it in for him. Then it sat in a case for 10yrs until I talked him into selling it to me. Yes, its a cheap scope and WAAAAY over sized for an ar-10, so I know how you feel with the overaized scope. This one is an inch longer than entire top rail, including the rail on the upper and the fore grip. However, I never re-zeroed it before I took it out opening day of gun season and dropped a buck in his tracks at 154 yards 1st shot. My other new to me hunting rifle failed the day before. Longer story. Anyway, I've always loved this rifle.
As others pointed out, never flick your wrist to swing the cylinder shut. That damages the gun. Big no no with revolvers. You would have been better off with the standard model instead of the “Lite” model which you apparently have. The standard model weighs 16 oz., and that extra weight dampens recoil and makes it more comfortable to shoot. Even at 16 oz it is still comfortable to carry. I’m pocket carrying my standard model stainless steel Undercover right now as I write this. Speaking of pocket carry, you should always use a holster, even for pocket carry. Here in Ohio using a holster is actually a legal requirement for concealed carry. You shouldn’t just stuff it in your pocket loose for two reasons. One, the holster protects the firearm from lint getting in the action, and even a firearm as reliable as a revolver can get boogered up that way if it is neglected long enough. Second, a proper holster will cover the trigger guard and will prevent the trigger from getting inadvertently snagged on something in your pocket, which if not guarded against, can lead to a negligent discharge plus a bullet down your leg, as well as a lot of embarrassment and perhaps even revocation of legal carry rights. Don’t think it can’t happen; an accident like that from someone pocket carrying without a holster just occurred recently in my area. If you’re going to carry a firearm that is limited to only five rounds on board, you might consider also carrying a speed loader with five more rounds. They are cheap and they work well with a little practice; way better than fumbling around trying to reload with loose rounds if you have any. Also as others have mentioned, the transfer bar mechanism in front of the hammer - a Charter Arms innovation dating back to the beginnings of the company in the 1960s - makes it perfectly safe to carry with all five chambers in the cylinder loaded. Yeah Armscor makes unreliable ammo with hard primers. Been there, done that. Spend a little more money and get ammo you can count on. Stay safe out there…
Like bout all ARs you can not engage the safety if the weapon is chamber empty and the hammer dropped. Best way to safe one as far as I'm concerned as you immediately know it's condition when you pick it up. If safety will not engage then you know that you have to charge the weapon THEN engage the safety. Otherwise you don't know if weapon is chamber hot or empty. No disrespect, just helpful hint. Especially if you hadn't handled the AR in a few days. Or months. I have a few so mite be years. Sad but true.
The slide isn’t supposed to “smack.” It’s called a slide lock, it only smacks because it’s worn out from using it as a “slide release.” Every time you use it as a “slide release” it sheers off a small amount of material. Every time I see a slide “smack” I cringe. Other than that, I have a P 10c and I would recommend it over a glock 100%.
F has big frame. C has a bit small frame for me . ( For 0,5 cm ) I think to buy cz p10c and if i will have problem , i will put a magwell.... Magwell will fix it ? Will it give 0,5 cm ? Will i have problem about factory magazine ? Or if i will put magwell it will be like f ?
One round on target, the rest everywhere but the target. Great way to turn a 30 round mag into that bolt action single shot rifle everyone is crying about one day having to own. You know, the type of gun the founding fathers MEANT when they wrote the second amendment. Speaking of the second amendment, these two look like the perfect type to form or join a militia to protect us ordinary citizens from our own government. Yeah, Malitias, And single shot hunting for sustenance rifles and the second amendment have anything to do with bypassing a reasonable law against ordinary citizens having what amounts to fully automatic military grade weapons as recreational toys because and I quote “ I loves to shoot em” that’s a lotta bang bang bang. Too bad we have to pay for our own ammunition. If we didn’t we would gladly spray lead randomly around the Forest for your enjoyment. Yeah second amendment.
We think that this would be a great option for both beginners and intermediate players. The rifles are relatively inexpensive but they are good quality, a great option all around.
The P10C should “smack” too. the spring for the slide stop/release maybe out of it’s notch and maybe sticking out in the magazine chamber. Putting it back on the notch where it’s supposed will fix the problem. The auto forwarding will work every time effortlessly after that.
