Hey, can you fight camp without any sings, elexirs and decoctions? I want to know if it's possible to kill bandits in a dominant fashion, as Geralt is supposed to be able to do. And I want to know if w3ee redux is worth a try
This footage is as barebones as it gets, and other than the signs request, it is exactly what you're asking for. As for not using signs, why, though? They provide utility mostly: stagger, resource regen, - without signs, you would either run out of stamina in ten seconds, or be forced to backpedal for ten minutes spamming slash counters.
Yes, Redux is the factual successor of Reaperrz' now-deceased W3EE, so if you enjoyed the OG W3EE, you would love the hell out of Redux. @@DartiousEst I understand, but I'm wondering if it's possible to be a fencer without any marks, etc. And still be able to kill bandits in a dominant manner. In the original game, this is possible. Just think for yourself) A real witcher should be able to deal with bandits without any problems.
@@Progra-mystic I'm not saying that's impossible - it's just boring. You're meant to use all the different tools in W3EE, and if you don't, you won't be able to enjoy the gameplay loop. Like I said, stamina is a very limited resource: if you don't use signs to spice up your moveset, all you're left with are backpedaling and parrying ad nauseam. A few naked bandits, you can deal with no problem, signs or no signs, but you don't fight naked bandits in this game.
@@Progra-mystic ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-InzFaIGh1UM.html That's the closest to your request you can find on my channel, and you will agree this looks plain boring. It's not even that difficult - just tedious and time-consuming. You might want to reconsider your priorities.
EDIT: This fight is insane. I set my health multiplier to 50x and it still killed me. It teleports out of my yrden, instakills with icicles, swats my bombs off of the boat, staggers with every hit, and absolutely nothing seems to affect it. I also learned if you get hit while applying a bandage, you’re permanently stun locked until you die. By far the worst part of an otherwise great mod.
Not going to lie, I’m new to the game and watching someone fake me out with a feign reminds me that there is a higher skill cap out there and just makes me want to play the game even more. The game shouldn’t be one dimensional where all you’re doing is reading an accl or drag. Feints add so much more depth. It’s cool to watch as a viewer too. A lot of those feints would have hit me so watch you block them shows you’re much more skilled as well
I hope you will get there soon, because I am trying to win this battle with the starter gear as well, but despite of lots of bombs I can barely make it.
All right, I respect that. So far I have just one question. How many bombs would you carry in total during a battle without being too exploitative of the game system?
@@TiramisuCorleone My default is usually 2 offensive and 2 utility ones at any given time. Although I suppose up to 4 utility bombs, like dimeritium ones, is fair if that's what the fight calls for.
The only entry I can see in the files is the Centipede mandible from Toussaint, so if you've just completed this quest in Velen, I'm afraid you're out of luck. additem('Netflix steel sword 2') additem('Netflix silver sword 2')
@@DartiousEst ok ty so much ❤ and do you maybe know why on the next gen version the critical hit text and the effect is not showing even though it's enabled in the interface options?
@@DartiousEst Had multiple scrolls on my old keyboard, but dumb question on my part. It worked and I can walk that way thanks for that, but it always defaults to the slow jog when I press W. Is there a way to have it default to walking so I don't have to use my scroll wheel every time?
@@-Venemic Hmph, I'm not sure I got your problem right, but the set movement speed persists unless you switch to the jog and back. I would recommend forgetting about the jog button altogether and instead making use of sprint, so you don't have to scroll back to the walking speed every now and then.
I was so glad when u won the first duel. Shit had me stressing like a soccer game. Its so clear that tryhards dont enjoy playign the game, they just want to fuel their ego by being adhd ingame. you are really good bro
Hey bro, nice fight. Got questions, I'm using W3EER on old gen, just reached B&W part and everytime after "The hunger games" quest popped out and then I saved, when I load game after that, my mutation skill tree(the ones with Deadly Counter, toxic blood, etc) get resetted even though I already invested skill and mutagens in it. Do u experience it too?
Legit question how do you get so good at reading those, I know these werent exactly good feints as he didn't get that close to you, but still I would've probably panicked enough to try chambering each one of them. Do you just react to that stuff or what +
I'm not that great of a player, but in my opinion, the guy's mistake is feinting from too far away, so even if he released, I'd still have plenty of time to read and parry; he undersells his movement and plays into my footwork. Doesn't create enough threat to warrant an active response, like a chamber, and I do have to chamber a lot against better players. Just not this one.
Amazed by your masterful gameplay. I already went through this modification, but usually against necrophages, I used a leveled-up Axii, and I had absolutely no problem killing 5-6 necrophages. But when I decided to replay it, like you, without leveling up skills, already in the White Garden, I encountered a problem that large groups of enemies don't give me a chance if I don't use Axii. Perhaps, you will give a couple of tips on how to effectively use signs, and how best to act when fighting a large crowd of ghouls and drowners (and yes, I don't want to use Axii against them, I'm following your gameplay). Thanks in advance for the response, your videos inspire me to make my battles even better.
Against larger groups of monsters (4+), the main tip is to leverage your CC tools, namely Aard and kicks, as much as you can and to always avoid getting surrounded. Try to keep the pack on one side, sprint a bit if you have to. Alt-Quen counter whenever you start running low on poise and stamina. It comes down to feeling the tempo and knowing what you can get away with and when you should turtle up and play passively.
To be completely honest, I just stay away from large stray groups unless they're camping an objective or a point of interest. It's not worth the trouble most of the time.
@@DartiousEst Definitely, I'll try again today. Although it's still not working out, but I need time to improve my skill in this matter. And it's funny how when I passed the first time, I was almost completely sure that I wouldn't have any problems. In fact, it's very difficult: to play without skills, changing armor, without enhancing with mutagens... But how you grow in skill precisely from such gameplay! Thank you very much for your tips, they really help if a person has the desire and patience to progress in this mode. You're great for not abandoning exactly this gameplay. After all, it requires understanding almost all mechanics and their proper use. It's clear that you love this game and mod very much. P.S. Damn, I really want to kill them effectively! By the way, about the kicks, you're absolutely right. They are very useful.
@@DartiousEst it would be better to show them at the end of the fight for proper proof. anyway good videos. the hounds at keira cave at dire wolf with barely no talents would be the true proper witcher test.. also the werewolves.
i have 100 hr at dire diff and have stuck at the werewolf in whispering hillock. and i know for a fact those hounds were unbetable and the griffith was way more harder when i fought him. Dire diff is not a joke. thats why i am looking for real witchers who may have propably beaten these oods.
@@kejv777 I don't need to prove anything. As a matter of fact, I am an established player who's been following the mod since its conception. 100 hours is not a whole lot. For reference, I've got 1200 hours of W3EE under my belt.
@@kejv777 As for the werewolf, whichever one you fought, I'm sure you'll be able to find plenty of quality footage on my channel. Or if you just want some tips, we can go down that route as well.
If only there was a perk to secure disarms. If only there was a way to accelerate one's attacks to secure the kill instead of backpedalling mindlessly. The enemy played this exchange poorly and paid for it.
@@01sanchez2 It's not fun to watch, to be sure, but getting this distinct feeling of weight behind each swing is what makes it great to play. As long as you don't happen upon the pros, that is, which is pretty much never. Mechanically, it's the best in genre anyway.
Frequently, I wouldn't say so. It's a standard optical camo cloak on a lengthy cooldown. Regina's Legendary Axolotl helps with getting it back a bit, but realistically speaking, you won't be able to make use of it more than once in a fight. In this case, I just wanted to jump in in style. There was no practical reason to cloak.
It's interesting how Rustin could have had you with a lot of those BS accels but he just didn't get close enough. Watching these fights in slow mo is a lotta fun.
He was wary of kicks and my own feints probably after I had a really great time with a greatsword. Bastard swords are nigh impossible to read in half-competent hands, so he did have every chance to farm me if I didn't start gambling, seeing as he wasn't as confident pushing. He was also overdragging for no reason, like he had a zwei or something.
No problem, here you go. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X_9PwgdTRSM.html Been playing some other games lately: Sifu, Dragon's Dogma 2 among other things, - hence the noticeable drop in activity. Thought I'd gather my bearings and finish with this upload at least, which I'd been keeping on the shelf for a long time. I should probably get around finally closing the whole run as well.
Good day, my friend. The fight was very good. I would like to ask, as I recently started playing w3ee redux, how to perform a kick or leg strike, like at this time interval 3:11-3:13, since I know it can be used as a parry modifier. I've been using it like that, but I see you're doing it without parrying (the enemy hasn't attacked yet, but you've already executed a kick). I would really like to know how to do this on the keyboard. Thank you in advance for your answer.
These are the moves colloquially referred to as "special light/heavy". Parry + light attack = kick (massive poise damage with a chance of knockdown) Parry + heavy attack = double slash (guard breaker move that automatically executes human enemies at <30% hp). Both of these attacks also cancel most of Geralt's animations, something to keep in mind.
Confusion by mindless flailing was his strat. As soon as he came across somebody who wouldn't panic parry harmless spins, his entire moveset fell apart.
Do you think it's worth throwing the Brothers in Arms Collection in the mix with W3EE Redux and SCAAR, or the conflicts will probably be too bothersome to resolve properly? There's a compatibility patch for BiA and W3EE Redux, but the merging seems to be a pretty tricky process, so adding SCAAR to the mix will probably increase the complexity in a considerable way, multiplying the chances of mess-ups... I'm making a fresh install of TW3 to attempt it as I type this comment, but it can easily turn into a big waste of time, so I'd like to hear the opinion of somebody else on the matter before attempting.
I wouldn't bother. A few voice lines here and there or whatever would not be worth the effort, at least for me. But I implore you to search for ready-made merges for W3EE if you feel like that's important to you. Me, I cannot care less about the story at this point.
@@DartiousEst What made me consider the mod were the tons of fixes of small bugs and problems, but I've played the game many times without it and nothing actually consequential in that regard jumped to me as needing to be fixed -- at least not to potentially lose hours trying to make this work... I'll pass it up this time. Thanks for the response.
