[Baldur's Gate 3] Act 1 - "Find the Missing Shipment" - Gnoll cave 

Not the toughest of fights comparatively, but the enemy outlevels and outnumbers my party and the mini-boss has the potential to oneshot if attempted to be tanked. It was a damage race essentially, and I felt I'd come up with a great strat.

I'm afraid I won't be able to assist with the mods I don't use myself.

Not much going on. Most of the fights are resolved in one or two turns and do not involve sophisticated tactics. Like the recent boss fight: I have a choice between 10+ turns of kiting and a cheesy 30 second 1 turn environmental kill. You can guess what I picked. It would be boring to watch. Exploration is what takes up the most of my time. To my mind, it really ruins the challenge of the game that you can shove most enemies to their deaths into the nearest chasm, and even if you choose not to, they will be actively trying to do the same to you. You have to engage in these unsavoury non-flashy tactics or suffer otherwise.

Would you recommend this game? I've been thinking about buying 🤔

@@devchoudhury4786 70 hours in, and it is definitely fun, but not the kind of fun you'd be able to appreciate second-hand. There are no quick combat thrills typical for W3EE, for instance, but careful exploration, various interactions with the world, all the different ways to finish a quest line more than make up for it. I would recommend BG3 wholeheartedly, it's just that its worth cannot really be expressed over a five-ten minute clip. Hence I'd rather not be wasting anyone's time artificially extending the fights I could (with some prep) finish in three shoves and one controlled explosion. Baldur's Gate is no XCOM where open combat is king - it's one of those extremely slow-paced games, not unlike TES titles, you'd best experience for yourself over a span of weeks if not months of meticulous gameplay.
