Good decision to save your money and not go into the pyramid....many many years ago the whole area was free, I went inside and there was really nothing to see at the top of a crowded stairway. I suppose just to say you've done it but I don't think it's worth the money.
Your tour boat should have been like a cruise ship. If you're more than 15 minutes late back to the boat, then too bad! Boat leaves. You missed the boat! 70 minutes! That's outrageous! I love snorkeling! The best snorkeling I've experienced was off the Maui coast in 1990. I was in Antigua in January this year, and not only was the snorkeling terrible, but the borrowed equipment was awful. I was choking and gagging on seawater! It taught me a valuable lesson. Bring your own snorkel gear! Anyway, Borneo looks so beautiful!
I'd be lying if I said there wasn't some truth to this 🙃 I lessen my guilt by only making Rishi carry most of our shared items and temporarily carry anything new I acquire (and need more time to find space for it) 😬
Thank you! The hotel is The Parisian Hotel: www.theparisianhotel.com/ They took USD - most bigger hotels, restaurants, etc take USD. We only really used LBP in small shops or street side purchases.
You should learn to pronounce placenames in foreign countries before making videos about them. All you have to do is ask ANYBODY who speaks Hungarian how to pronounce Pécs and they will tell you. As you made this video in Hungary, you were close to approximately ten million people who could have told you the answer in less than one second. Nonetheless, you didn't have the presence of mind to do that. Amazing.
Hi Melissa and Rishi! I'm a caver here in the U.S. and I love love love caves! This one is so cool! I hope to find a cave to visit while I'm in Thailand. I bet the caves are fairly warm given the ambient temperature at the equator. I'm really impressed with all your travels!
Good to hear from you, Mike! Didn't know you were into caving - what's the coolest cave adventure you've ever had? Also, when are you leaving for Nepal?
@@kineticpassports I'm leaving for Nepal on October 4th. Can't wait, I'm so excited! Will you be in that part of the world? Caving adventures? There have been so many. I'd say my most memorable have been at Carlsbad Caverns National Park. If you've never been, you need to put it on your bucket list! I'll never forget rappelling 200 feet into Ogle cave in the park lead by a park ranger. Fantastic columns and formations in huge walking passage. I think they've since closed off that cave to visitation though. I've done volunteer work in the park as well. Carlsbad Caverns is and still remains the most jaw-dropping, amazing cave I've ever been to. It definitely is the single cave I've spent the most time in. I could never get tired of it.
Sounds like we need to make it to Carlsbad Caverns - we haven't been there yet. I've only ever been to Los Alamos in New Mexico. Re Nepal - that's coming up so fast! Is there anyplace we can follow your adventure from? Not sure how much you plan on posting online...
@@kineticpassports I don't plan on being online during the trek, but I will post a RU-vid video after I return. I'm pretty slow with editing, so you can expect it around late November? I'll definitely let you know.
Congrasts for being monitized. love your content as always.just wanted to know do you have an editor who edits your videos or you doing gyzs yourself ?
@@kineticpassports Your work is really impressive! As you mentioned handling most of the editing in-house. I'm a video editor with a knack for creating eye-catching thumbnails. I think my skills could elevate your content to the next level. Let me know if you're open to chatting about it!
Thank you so much! We love to hear that!! To be honest, we watch a lot of other RU-vid videos and read a lot of blogs about these places to see what other people enjoyed doing. We narrow down the list of things we want to do from there based on the time we have. And, sometimes we just spend a day walking around the cities we visit to see first-hand what’s interesting before deciding what we should go back and film.
Another nice video! I lived in 'Amman from 1989 to 1991 studying Arabic, and your video brought sweet memories back. Congratulation for the Kuffiyah you bought, it is a very nice investion. I have one now nearly 35 years old, and I am still using it, especially here in Thailand. Very practic in every situation, better than a hat. You can even wet it if it is too hot. But: Arabic coffee in these plastic cups is a no-no-no go. 🙂 You have to drink it in an Arabic coffee shop from the small China cups. And that with Saddam Hussein's notes... That is a litle bit on the difficult side. Saddam was a killer and war criminal (use of poison gas against Kurds and Iranians), attacking The new formed Islamic Republic of Iran with help of Western Nations. But if you are collector I can understand. Yes, the cats are amazing by the way! And the food also is nice (even I never became a good friend of Mansaf. But Hummus in Jordan is so delicious! Hope you enjoyed also Petra, if you have gone there.
We love to see your comments! I feel like the next time we go back to Jordan we should take you with us - so we don’t make mistakes like drinking coffee out of plastic cups!
@@kineticpassports Thank you for this nice reply. Times are changing, and now it maybe is all right to drink it from plastic cups. 🙂 But I am really conservative in this. Yes, I miss Jordan, last time have been there was 2017. Too long ago. I am looking forward to watch more videos from you, they are great!
I have been to that horrible prison in 2013. One of the most depressingsites I have visited, only to compare with German extermination camps. And I was not ashamed that I cried when I read the documents of how people were made to suffer. Up to now I have pictures in my head.
Being in that prison was an incredibly sobering experience. Reading the accounts there and then reading a few books after based on personal experiences made my heart sink. And, then realizing that the western world, mostly the country I come from, created the conditions for such an atrocity to occur - just horrendous.
Nice video... makes me missing Wadi Ram...Have been there in 1990 last time with three friends and a rented car. No hotels there, no tourists... only once a boy with a flock of sheep playing the nai (Arabic flute) in the lonelyness.. Must be totally different nowadays, but I like to see it.
Thank you! Oh, I bet it was totally different in the early 90s. It sounds like its much more built up now - we passed quite a few hotels on our way to the one we stayed in. If you go during low season (like we did), you can still find some space to be alone in. But, the scene you described - nothing except a boy with his sheep and his flute - I think that might have been a very special time to be there.
Hey guys ... just wanted to tell u that cairo became too crowded by people with myriads of nationalities and traits and Cairo became even hectic for us as egyptians to go out there so I reckon u visit more new places like mall of egypt , mall of arabia (sheikh zayed and 6 october cities to specific) and district 5 in addition to zmalek ofc these places are more of modernised with more people who will be helpful and actually speak English pretty well along with the brands and more organised cafes , restaurants and stores that will have fixed fees for everything . when stay in egypt i recommend staying in one the places i mentioned ik it could be a bit expensive but u will be pleased at least at the place u staying at then when u want to go out for khan el khalili ,etc. go there early and distribute these plans along the days ur staying in ,then go I think u will enjoy it more . btw even us get scammed at the places u went to :) .lastly , do not miss going to concerts , discos and vist sharm el sheikh , hurghada and al alamein these places are very cool if u want to safari and these vibes i reckon u go with a big group it will be more fun for these activities i recommend Siwa but u must be with a tourism company cause u will see the real chaos there yk it is not organised there this will get the thoughts of going back to the hotel food these plannings of ur nerves to let u truly enjoy the place and it's overwhelming nature . Egypt is fun I must say it but take care of urself there is the pros and cons in every place and it need more than one visit to enjoy it more as if u will learn from ur mistakes surely yk . for the uber driver ik it could be weird but as smn said life is pretty hard here so the credit card one the drivers do not get the money from the company easily so he needs cash for his kids although for the gasoline ... anyways i think i made it long a bit ,but hope u enjoyed our country . long live guys , adios !
I swear you are barging in prices that I can't have it as local. People are offering you an original hand made stone for 7$ nd you wanna it in 4$. If that was in USA, it's minimum 50$
We didn't show this in the video but earlier in the same market, someone offered us the same stone for $4 as a starting price so we kinda knew what we could get this for in another store.
Love this video! I've been geeking out over Facebook ad analytics and website analytics for our business so it's interesting to hear about your experience with RU-vid. I would absolutely gobble up videos about making and editing content. You guys are awesome! Big congrats on monetization!! Can't wait to see what's next.
We're glad you liked this one! I can imagine you're diving into some analytics on your end now that your business has a digital footprint. Do you think you'll start creating videos (short form or long form) to promote your business? And, btw, we love that you're watching these videos! Always feels good to have the support of our friends :)
I have ALOT to say ! Okay let's begin: 1. Nobody pays 100egp for koshary in egypt. Because it is counted as a local dish that the working class consumes most of the times and trust me wheN i say no Egyptian would agree to payy 100 for Koshary. 2. It is apparent that yoh are trying to be careful not to get scammed in Egypt. But considering that Khan elKhalili is the oldest most crowded and touristic market in Cairo, it is a BIG risk to walk around with your bag behind you. Because that Souq is very packed and crowded and loud. They can just pickpocket stuff from your back in a matter of seconds just when the road just gets a little crowded and u stop for a few seconds. 3. They asked you extra for a haircut bro. My brother cut his hair for 80 just last week. So it is good to ask about the average price range to a local who does not have the motivation to scam you before hand 4. Usually the thing thay plays when elevator moves is a verse from Quran, more like a prayer said before going on any means of transportation to pray for safety. 5. It is true. You have to be prepared for suprises because you really won't know what hides behind the next turn. If you have more question just ask :) I am sure many people are willing to help--including me.
We only spent a day in Lublin - so our experience was really shown through the vlog. But, maybe a viewer who lives in Lublin will see this and can respond
@@kineticpassports Well, thank you for responding. It was a nice journey though. A lot of historical buildings and traditional foods all look so beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
Tell me more about the production and editing processes. Do you plan your day beforehand? How many times do you retake shots? Do you use Motion Array or other websites for motion graphic effects, or do you create everything from scratch?
Thanks for asking about this! We will probably do a whole different video on this topic - I also feel like I want to know more about how other RU-vidrs do this.
Congratulations on monetisation and 1k!!!!! This is literally so exciting!! Its amazing to see you guys document your travels while doing what you love!! Curious, where are you guys heading next!! :)
thank you so much!!! so, after cambodia - we'll be covering our travels in Malaysia and Indonesia. we got to meet some orangutans up close there. after that, we're off to China!
@@kineticpassports omg no way!!! I can’t wait to watch!! Especially china, I feel like there’s not much content on china and what to do so I would love to see what you get up too :))) congratulations again 😊
I like the excitement of your video "blowing up" when it's about 15k views, I can totally relate. You see massive creators that gain 1M+ views/day so relatively it's nothing, but in the separate little world of your own channel, the numbers feel different. 1,000 real-life people watching something you made feels like a mega-success. If I ever make $1 from RU-vid, I'm going to feel like a big shot! I also found it funny that it took you a lot longer to get 1k subs than it did to get 4k watch hours. On my channel it's been the opposite so far, I'm getting close to halfway on subs but only 300 watch hours so I've still got a long way to go. Completely different niche and style of videos though so can't really compare. It just shows how varied all our experiences of RU-vid are!
Haha! So glad you can relate! There are so many creators out there who probably get 15k views on their videos in less than 24 hours. But, at this stage in the game, it feels like such an accomplishment! And, we have a friend who had the same thing happen. He hit the subs goal so fast, but his watch time has been lagging. Just depends on genre and chance, I guess!
