Hey, I'm Luke. I am a young entrepreneur and freelance filmmaker. I have had my footage on BBC Countryfile and also won a film festival and passionate about creating cinematic films.
320 and 300 models were never made with 4 speed. Earlier versions used 722.5 transmission, which is the same hydraulic 4 speed as the 500sl but with an additional electronic overdrive gear. And the one you drive post facelift has the 722.6 which is an all electronic 5 speed.
@@Golde2Good Cheers for watching my video, I hope you enjoyed. I have driven many pre facelift 500, 320 and 300 and they all share the same 4 speed hydraulic gearbox. There will be more reviews to come and I hope you will continue to watch the series 🙌🎬
All models had 4 speed hydraulic box at some points in the evolution. The 5 speed with electronic overdrive and the horribly low ratio 1st gear came and then the 5 speed electronic as the technology evolved. So the video is correct.
13% on the GTS and you only get 11 mils on flow? You can get that same percentage on an XR. On my GT I can get 27 mi so how did you get only 10 mi at 39%?
@@YoungFilmmaker Great video and looking forward to the V6 review, as I bought a SL320 V6 last summer. First-time registration was 06/2001 (Milano, Italy) so it is one of the very last R129 ever built. Cheers from Ken - Copenhagen, Denmark
I have owned my 320sl for nearly 20years and love it. More than enough power and less weight up front . Also a straight six is the perfect mechanical masterpiece:😊
Your video is very informative, has lots of detail, and is thoroughly researched with great passion. Bruno Sacco's masterpiece of design and classic Mercedes Benz engineering. Great photography and editing with a mixture of your voice-over as well. I like 'the earning to drive'. I am a proud owner of a 320SL r129 with a pan roof. The r129 was my dream car as a young man growing up in the 1990s. Your video is a pleasure to watch! Thank you :)
Thank you so much for the kind words. I adore this generation of Mercedes and plan to review every engine variation of the R129 so subscribe for more 🎥
Thanks, another great instalment of R129 content. The rear seats were not allowed in the US and I think Japan too. Most other countries have then fitted instead of storage compartments and a Bose sound system.
Thanks for a great video, I particularly like the old images and footage of Bruno Sacco and the factory build sequences. Looking forward to watching your next instalment!!
Glad you enjoyed it! I put a lot of time and effort into finding all of the old footage from when the cars were being produced by Mercedes-Benz and I think it has a really nice touch to the video. I’m looking forward to creating more videos soon.
What a great video! The drive / ride along was awesome. I really liked the locale, the bikes, the ride, the people, the music. More of the DGR next year please.
Brilliant video imagery and editing, I was there - somewhere :) What a great day and so much money raised for such a worthy cause . Well done to everyone, the organisers, the riders ,the volunteers and to all those who donated !
Thank you for your kind words and I hope you managed to spot yourself in a section of the film? There was a lot of footage so I couldn’t use it all but I tried to show as much as possible 🎥 It was an incredible event.
@@YoungFilmmaker No problem, it's great to see serious talent and someone doing what they love to do :) I will have to go through it on slomo to see if I'm there but no problem either way ,the experience is what counted and the monies raised. I just sold my Lumix S5ii X which was just way too good for me and I was trying to film a few bits with an old Standard 8mm Quarz 5 movie camera - will see if any footage comes out ! Happy Days :)
Super video. Very professional. Nice to see Charlie Boorman still participating and supporting this years event. I was part of the Leicester DGR. My third year. Great day out, blessed with perfect weather... Larry Wheatley Chrome Harley Davidson VRSCA V-Rod...
Thank you so much for your kind words and it was an absolute pleasure filming all the riders all coming together for such an important cause, and making lifelong memories 🎥🙌
