Loved House of the Week! Under cabinet lighting is a must. We have the same lighting here with above and below cabinet lighting. Love it! Hole #1 at Yankee Clipper is a bear. Can’t tell you how many balls I launched into the pond. 🤫🤣 Miss y’all. Not sure if we can make Colors Day this year. 🥴
Great video...thanks for the all the great info. My husband and I come down to TV for 2 mos ... one day maybe we'll buy a home. Love this home on the golf course. I am a shoe person. Love those sandals you had on. Can you share the brand?
Our first lifestyle visit came during Show Your Colors Day, and we made the big trip from next to Brownwood up to Spanish Springs our second day here by golf cart, long trip up and longer trip back in the dark. We meet a lot of great people and had fun with Scooter the DJ. what a great time we had!
That is definitely an epic golf cart ride for a first time visitor, well done for making it there and back. It is an amazing full day of celebration and we will be attending this years event.
Love that house of the week! The high ceilings really open things up. Too bad that restaurant isn't that good. Oh well. Lots of places to eat in the Villages.
I definitely agree with you about the high ceilings. I haven’t ruled out returning to the ‘Back Porch Restaurant’ I just wouldn’t order the Ribs again. In fact, I have decided to only order ribs at a dedicated barbecue restaurant in the future.
We live very close to the back porch. We ate there two times. We were not a fan on the food or the service and will not go back. I see not many people there. It’s usually empty for eating but people go there to drink on trivia night.
It is a very nice place and I wouldn’t mind going to a trivia night and having a couple of drinks. I will go back and try something else other than the Ribs
I know the rules with buyer's agents are changing soon. What happens if you sign a contract with a buyer's broker/agent and then you buy a home directly through The Villages? Since the buyer's agent cannot show Villages listed homes, does the buyer still have to pay the buyer's agent a commission?

Wow great price on house of the week. I thought for sure it would be over 500k with all that beautiful furniture. My neighbor showed me Gios last week. We plan to go to lunch there. Now I see I need to make that a priority! Looked so good!

Thank you. I gave it a 91/2 unfortunately cameraman made a blooper and forgot to put his remarks on. He gave his a 9. I will have to find a suitable punishment for him 😁
We can't use Allegiant, because they don't fly out of CLE, which is eight minutes from our house. LOVE the HOTW! Reminds me of an Alder, which was one of our faves in the past. Do the GCs come in the turnkey?
Wow finally you did a review on Gio’s Deli. I’m glad you liked it. I’m going to stop in there. We bought our house last October in the Villages and listed our house up north mid April and we sold it July 31. Market stinks right now it took 2 months to sell. If we listed 18 months ago it would have been gone in a week. We live at the beach in Delaware. Interest rate did not help. So now I’m looking forward to trying all these places you like. We hear Gios deli is good and The Columbian in Tampa is great. I think you went to the one in Orlando. We also love Sakura in colony shopping center. Food is delicious.
Yes we enjoyed it. We would like to go to Columbia in Tampa because it was the first one. Let us know what you think of the restaurants that you go to that we have reviewed
Wow. Really disappointed to hear about THREE Hooters restaurants. I live in a city with 974,447 people and we don't have a Hooters here. According to the website, there's one 30 minutes north of me and one 50 minutes south of me, which seems reasonable. I can't imagine why The Villages would need 3 for the area. That's not going to go well with all the ridiculous loofah rumors. Another lovely home of the week!
@@ChynnaBlue1 3 in the area so not guaranteed to be in the Villages. There are a large number of new Apartments already built and also in the process of construction, maybe that has something to do with it. Definitely not something I will be visiting but someone will.
We had trouble hearing Jana talking through most of the video due to the background music. She doesn’t talk loud enough to compete with that background sound. It was frustrating. The best part was the home tour with no music. Food at Lopez looked good though. 😆🤗
Thank you for letting us know, I’m sorry you had problems. I watched it again and didn’t have any sound issues, the fans at Lopez pool were a little loud but that was all. I asked my neighbors and they had no problems either. I asked a friend of mine, who is up to date with technology, what could do that. He said that on some devices you can adjust the level of background noise and there is a possibility that the settings on your device need adjusting. I don’t know if this helps but hopefully it will . Thank you for watching and contributing. Jana
@@beingkitschroeder2507 We watch every week too, and hadn’t noticed the background music in every segment as we did this one, so now we need to go back and see why it wasn’t bothering us before this week. Weird. Will keep watching though.
My grandma used to love Hooters in St Pete. I also had a mushroom swiss burger for lunch today at Culvers. Looking at that menu, I think I would've ordered a lobster roll. Have you been to "Let's Do" in Mt Dora? A friend of mine who lives in the Village of Chatham said they have the best lobster rolls. IDK, because I've only had lobster rolls in New England, and at CTT in Celebration. My sister and I are going to the Cousin's Maine Lobster Truck on Sunday, here in Ohio. They're supposed to have great lobster rolls also. I really like the finishes on the HOTW. Big fan of all of the color choices. Do you think there's room for a pool? I love that "new house smell."
I’m not big on lobster, I will cook it now and again and order it on a cruise but that’s about it. I have heard that cousins do a good lobster roll and I would like to try one of theirs.
Very lovely home. I see vehicle traffic just on the other side of the trees. I would like a wall on that side as well. The decor has a decidedly masculine feel to it. Very tastefully designed.
@@tnek6591I edited my comment. You responded before I had the chance to post it. I don’t mind noise as long as it’s not overwhelming. I’m a city girl so am quite used to the noise of the city.
What's nice about this house (and highly unusual!) is there are only TWO homes/lots in this section of Silvana Way, sort of an isolated "island" from the other homes on this street to the north (~86 yards away) & south (~206 yards away) -- so you only have one neighbor! And no neighbors/lots behind you. Just the street in front and a retention pond on the other side if it. Weird but nice seclusion-wise since usually homes (and neighbors!) are packed pretty tight together in The Villages. I'd go for it! :-) -- BR

I made country style pork ribs with a sweet smoky honey blueberry BBQ sauce. I used homemade blueberry jam. Absolutely delicious. The jam was so sweet, I couldn’t eat it on toast. This made great use of it. You could actually taste the blueberry flavor. I would make them again. I love baby back ribs, but country ribs have so much more meat on them. It’s hard for me to eat an entire rib. I made mixed veggies with white sauce and fried potatoes and onions.
I'm watching this video on the lanai of the house on the Historic side that I rented for the week. There is a big Florida summer thunderstorm going on with lightning. Fortunately I got back to the rental house 30 minutes before the storm started. House Of The Week was lovely...I guessed $800K. 1921's menu looked quite out of the ordinary.
I was surprised to see the name of the restaurant in Mt Dora, as Van Aken is a major district in Shaker Heights, OH, where I used to live and work. I think the last time I've had a hushpuppy was years ago, when we lived in Nashville. We lived there in the 70s, during my elementary school years, and then I went back in the early 80s, for college. Ted took me to Nashville for my 50th birthday, and it's changed so much. That was ten years ago, I hardly recognize it now, when I see videos. Those ribs looked outstanding! Glad Cameraman enjoyed his Wreckfish. That's a new one, for me. Virginia Trace is such a great location! And you know a Lantana is my fave. I spyed Cameraman at 19:04. Thanks for another great video, as usual.
Interesting with the name coincidence. Who would have thought that hush puppies could be served like that. Virginia Trace is so convenient for just about everything you need. Thanks for contributing.
1921 restaurant looks fab! Impressed that you did not get blueberry sauce on your blouse! Oh, and we saw the elusive Cameraman twice in House of the Week. We love your videos!
