How did you feel from blood loss after labor and delivery while being anemic? My hemoglobin dropped from a 10 to a 7 because I caught a viral illness and I’m praying I don’t have to get a blood transfusion or iron injections 😢 I’m due first week of October so please pray for healing

my ferritin was 2! I felt very exhausted, hair started falling out quite a bit and i was dizzy. i ate a lot of grassfed beef and voine liver capsules and B12 and brought it up a bit and started feeling better.

Very interesting video. I was recently researching this exact subject. I am 35 about to be 36 looking to start a family soon. Knowing what i know about fertility age im feeling like the ideal would be to have my kids back to back. It feels like i have no other option because age is not on my side, but tbh that sounds like it would be so stressful. What are your thoughts on this? I guess i just feel like my time is limited if i want to have more than one child.

after having 3 close together and 1 further apart, i would choose the close together every time! They play together and keep each other busy, you get through all the diapers, potty training, tantrum phases etc al together rather than restarting, and they become best friends as they get older! i love it personally :)

Thank you for being so vulnerable and honest. Your baby sounds like such a fun personality to be around! I know you will figure this next phase out because you are such a resilient and strong woman. The panic attacks, the tears and the lack of patience u may feel sometimes do not define you! Also, I am honestly super excited to see you back on RU-vid 🤍🤍🤍

A circus theme with all the animals? You can rent cheap small bouncy castles that look like a circus tent depending where you live, get little containers from the dollarstore for popcorn that are red and white striped, etc.

Hi just wondering I saw your video with your baby when hating the car seat and tips (snacks). My daughter is 11 months old and she acts like your child in that video. Did he end up having speech delay or any issues?

Hey! no, developmentally, he is WAY ahead. for example he knows the alphabet, can count to twenty, says full sentences and he just turned two. that being said, he still HATES the car... likes screams the entire car ride. He just always wants to be on the go and hates being stuck.

thats great to teach them languages and to teach them other subjects as well, but for sure, when you say that your mother didnt make you study ten sdditional subjects every day, thats imossible, and for sure you would never do that either, for sure you must have meant to add ten more subjects to do every week, and your mother for sure did the same with you, she did add ren subjects, but for sure not to do every day, but every week yes for sure x

my parents used to make me watch sesame street at 3 months old when the 41st season was about to air which means they had me being on the tv for less than an hour. at first i never payed attention but now i love it now i watch my this major part of my childhood on max, but i understand its bad for their eyesight, i feel y’all but id feel like id be the parent that’d limit parts of it like if they’d watch sesame street id let them watch one a day (its now 30 minuts long) and thats it. edit: even if its bad for their development, i dont believe my parents failed to raise me. my parents are perfect. even if screens were bad for me at ages 0-2, at the same time, my parents turned on this show to make me educated, well mannered, and understand the world around me. (even if i couldn’t understand the yapping the sesame street characters were talking about at the time) and they also shared what they adored watching as kids. heck, they never even knew that characters like elmo and zoe existed in the show until i first started to watch i because they were born in the 60s and 70s. :/ but still there should be a limit on tv time on babies tho

Loving these videos Marla! I'm not gluten free but being pregnant I'm really weird with food somedays I'm craving only fresh fruits, vegetables and fruit smoothies then somedays I really don't feel like eating anything. This helps at least inspire me because I know nutrition is important. Do you have the recipe for the hummus?
@MarlaAycho
@MarlaAycho 7 месяцев назад
Thanks for watching! I completely get what you mean with not wanting to eat most foods! For the hummus, its not measured, all to taste but I blend in my processors 3-4 cans of organic chickpeas, a few slices roasted red pepper, a few tbs of olive oil, 1 head garlic, 1/2 cup tahini, 4 ice cubes, a few lemons, salt and add olive oil or water as needed to get desired consistency :)

This video exemplifies the dilemma for all caring parents... to be proactive and "push" your child a little, or to lay back and let them "decide" for themselves. In both cases it is a parent trying to do what they think is right, but there are problems with both approaches. A perfect example in my case was sports for my boys. When my oldest wanted to join a soccer team at 10-years-old, I did my research and found a team that we thought was a good fit. He joined and started playing. At first, he loved it, but in a couple weeks he started to complain about having to go to practice and wanted to quit. So, I had a choice... do I let him make his own decisions, or do I enforce "healthy" boundaries and make him stick to it and honor his commitment to the team? Later, I knew that whatever decision I made, there were possible, negative outcomes. if I made him stay and he hated it, he might later tell me that I had made the wrong choice, forcing him to do something he didn't want to do. I also knew that if I didn't make him stay, later he would be upset that I didn't make him keep playing, missing an opportunity to be involved in sports. He might tell me that I should have made him continue, so he could learn the value of hanging in there and pushing through wanting to quit. He might say I trained him to be a "quitter". I ultimately decided to make a rule that, if he joined anything, of his own free will, that he would have to stick to it for a certain amount of time. If he chose to play a sport, he had to stick with it for one season. If he joined a club at school, he had to stick with it for one semester, and so on. I felt this was a good compromise, and each time he made a decision to do something, he knew he had to stick it out for a reasonable period, so he could truly know if he liked or disliked something (and for many other reasons). When he grew up, and started to confront some incidents in his childhood, he sometimes was upset for making him continue, and other times he was grateful that I made him stick it out and honor his commitment. He doesn't feel "traumatized" by any of these incidences, and understands the dilemma I had in making up rules about him continuing even if he didn't like it. In these comments you see this played out, by some people feeling happy their parents got their ears pierced, and some hating it and saying they'll never make their child do it. Whichever side you come out on, this much is true: no matter what you chose to do, there is the potential that your child will later resent you for how you handled it. That is just a fact of life... no child will ever say we were perfect parents. So, we have to decide (before we have kids) how we're going to handle things, and then stick to it and be consistent. This much is absolutely true: we cannot allow children to always make their own decisions. A young child might "decide" they never want to each vegetables again, and only want to eat candy. Or, they might decide that learning is just not for them, and they don't want to do any schooling, ever. They might "decide" they want to hit their siblings. They could "decide" that it's okay for them to break things that are precious to their parents, to express their dissatisfaction with our guidance. Children won't always chose to do the right or "good" thing. They might decide that it's okay for them to stab a classmate with a pencil when they get mad. I believe that children need to be brought up to live and be successful in a world where they often do not get to do what they "want". They might decide they don't want to get a license to drive, and drive without it. They may decide they want to pay taxes. They don't want to pay rent... and so on. We need to bring them up to understand that they can't always get what they want, and that until they are a certain age where they are capable of making their own decisions about something (whether to drink alcohol after turning 21, for example) we as their parent and protector, often need to protect them from themselves. If they insist on putting their fingers into a fire, we have to stop them and discipline them so they don't do it again (with whatever discipline is fair and loving). We simply have to make many decisions for our children that they will dislike, wanting to make a different decision. We can't allow them to decide they will never do homework and always play video games, for example. Ear piercing is a tough one, because it's not necessary, like making sure a child eats healthy and gets enough sleep. In my opinion, this is one where you can let the kid decide, because not getting their ears pieced isn't going to impact them in a negative way. I think you let them decide, when the decision isn't really important. That way you can teach them you respect their decisions, when possible, and teach them the value of making good choices. It's always going to be tough, because sometimes kids want something that you might dislike, but they really want to do it and are willing to work hard and honor their commitment. For example, a young daughter might want to be in child beauty pageants. I wouldn't ever want my daughter doing that, but what if she REALLY wanted to do it and does her homework researching the whole thing and still believes it's a good choice, what do I do? That would be hard, but if my wife and I decide it's a bad thing, we have to make that decision for them, as loving, protective parents. I think you let them decide if the choice being made is "safe" either way (like ear piercing) and help them to understand that in other cases, where the decision they desire is one their their mother and I believe is a bad one (with possible negative consequences) that we will be making the ultimate decision for them. None of us can make all of our own decisions... we have to pay taxes, we have to obey the laws of the land, we have to do many things we don't want to do regardless of our own desires. A child needs to be raised to understand this, and know the difference between real freedom and licentious freedom and learn to make good choices through that knowledge. I let my sons make - what I knew were - bad decisions from time-to-time (if the stakes were low), and in those cases I did not shield them from the ramifications of their own bad choices. They had to learn to make their own choices and deal with the consequences so they can learn through their mistakes. I always counseled them, and made sure they knew I felt they were making a bad decision, but then I let them chose, even if they ignored my opinion. Better they do this when they still lived with me, than doing it for the first time when they were adults where the stakes are potentially a lot more severe. Giving them the freedom to make bad choices only helped in teaching them to make good ones, though it was often painful for both of us.

You described it so well..I felt exactly the same way with all the transitions..I feel like with the third especially in the first year you don’t have to worry so much about the baby stage it’s like second nature at that point and it leaves room for time with the other two and focusing on their growth
