Relatable tech reviews and advice for normal people.
I have zero interest in deep spec dives or long-winded comparisons. I review laptops, smartphones, tablets, headphones and the latest tech based on real experience. I'll tell you how it'll make you feel, whether or not it's worth your time (and money) and help you find the tech you need to get stuff done.

Don't buy Core Ultra in 2024. You will regret it in a few months as Intel, Apple, and AMD release their newest chips, which are more powerful and efficient.
I tried this in my local JBHifi for almost 15 minutes while comparing it to my Bose QC Ultra, which you convinced me to buy. I must say my Bose sounds and appeals better to me. Thanks for your excellent review yet again. ❤
I was given a pair of these as a gift and they are awful. To say the Bluetooth is difficult to connect to Windows 11 is a gross understatement. Its is not uncommon to spend 10 to 15 minutes fiddling with this and that to get them to connect. The AI voice is creepy and unintelligible. It sounds like a child.
It's the colors of the original apple logo and it's got no reference to pride stuff. 'designed in 1977 by graphic designer rob janoff, the classic bitten apple logo was introduced together with the brand’s first personal computer, the apple II. when asked how he designed it, he explained that: ‘it was very simple really. I just bought a bunch of apples, put them in a bowl, and drew them for a week or so to simplify the shape.’ the rainbow color scheme was a nod towards the apple II which was the world’s first to feature a color display.'
Apple Intelligence: You noted it will be in Beta and only on M1 (and newer) Mac and iPad devices + iPhone 15 pro & pro max. I think you missed it will also only be on devices set to U.S. English.
Apple is always playing catch-up. Even MacOS is backward. All Apple has are powerful chips, and the rest of the world is about to get powerful, efficient chips too
Funny, I just want to get rid of my MBA M1 to get a Matebook 14, athough I hate this company. My main concern on my MBA is: The OS! I hate MAC OS sooo much. It is just an OS that constantly wants you to work in a dumb way, the Apple one. (and of course buy Apple sh*** to make a dumb product work at leat in some areas.)
Got the exact same car as in your review in Feb and it was one of the first and it’s great on every level, Mini have done an excellent job with this new model as it lives up-to expectations..
I am hoping it is a dirty rumour, but I have heard that Huawei won't be running Windows after this or possibly one more iteration as a knock on of the US bar on Huawei products. As I say could be a dirty rumour and I hope so! I currently have a Huawei D15 laptop (yes an older one but) and frankly its bloody good value for what I paid for it (just over £400). The pop up webcam is honestly useless and no one wants to look up your nose, so I don't know what they were thinking when they designed it that way and it does struggle a little when using Lightroom (but then a lot of laptops do) but for every day non intensive work its a damn good machine and I would buy another one as long as it was running Windows. As for Ulysses, I have to admit I have gone back to using Word or Google Docs because I have to switch between a mac mini and the windows laptop, so it dosen't make a massive difference on that front and it isn't really a deal breaker. It would be good to see a Windows edition of Ulysses (or Bear) however.
Huawei is amazing - lightweight, with a wonderful screen... BUT! Core Ultra is a terrible processor. In actual use, the battery life is very poor. The fans work almost always. They should have used the AMD U series, it behaves much better with limited consumption. Or wait for the new processors that have just been introduced.
and yes all those camera inventions were huaweis. night mode was first in huaweis, double cameras were first in huaweis, i think even wide lense was in huawei
there is a reason USA banned google in huaweis. they were too good. they are still amazing if youre ready to use HMS and appgallery instead of google services. i use huaweis since p9 and they were always amazing. the only good alternative for huawei are google pixels when it comes to price = performance
Are you having a laugh £1100 for a cheap Chinese laptop, which is more expensive than the cheapest. iMac or the same price as the iMac with the same RAM with less storage, you’re still mental
