Hi, my name is Lincoln & welcome to my fishing, cooking & outdoors channel. I’m a Welsh man living with my family in Bradford Abbas, a village just outside of Sherborne in Dorset. My main passion is sea fishing, but thoroughly enjoy trout & carp fishing also. Although I’ve been catching fish for over 40 years, my hobby is very much at an amateur level and I try to focus on having fun & enjoying my surroundings than tying to break records! If you wish to get in touch you can use the following email… fishdisco@mail.com Click the ARMYTEK link below & use the discount code FISHDISCO15 for a 15% discount off your basket. Thank you!🙂👍
Hi mate , I’m getting through most of your vids as time allows and I enjoy them even if you blank , Alas not this time . Keep it going and I will watch ! Regards from Weymouth
Great video mate. Im interested in your fishing locations and cooking recipes?? I'm coming to Weymouth on holiday this August at the littlesae Haven and would love some tips and places to catch some mackerel ect???
@@oliverdowrick3420 hi Oliver 👋 thanks for watching! I’m certainly no expert buddy, but first light & dusk are generally the best times for mackerel, any areas by the car parks along Chesil beach are worth a go, and anything from a heavy spinning rod up to a beach caster will do the biz. Rock marks around Portland bill lighthouse are worth a go in good weather, spinning will get you bass & pollack, legering & float fishing with ragworm will get you wrasse also. Hope you have a great holiday 😎😊👍👍
Great to see something different and a new Chesil (ish) location. Still no bream !! Hoping to get out in the next few days , maybe Chesil , wind dependent. Will try that Thai paste recipe .. never tasted wrasse , that'll be worth a look . Thanks Lincoln
Good fishing lincoln and even though I'm not a fan of Thai curry I've got to admit it looks lovely. What was the website for armytek headlights. Think I may treat myself.😊😊
Hi Dave, hope your well👍 here’s the link for the website www.armytekstore.de/ & code is FISHDISCO15 Normally delivered by FEDEX They are cracking lights, you won’t be disappointed. Will come up with something a bit less spicy for you next time buddy😊 take care & thanks for watching 👊🏻👍👍
Thanks lincoln just ordered it now . Thanks for the discount code. Hopefully you get something out of it. Keep up the vids mate. Always enjoy them and you have encouraged me to start cooking outdoors. 😊😊
@@davecorner216 thanks Dave 😊👍 hope you like the headtorch & good on you for treating yourself 👊🏻 cooking al fresco is the way to go, and now you’ll be able to see what your cooking when the sun goes down😊 take care buddy & thanks again 😎👍👍
As always a great video Lloyd, some clonking mackerel too. The curry looked amazing, shame you can’t find something to make the congers taste nice in 😂😂🎣🐟
@@kevinbuckler1085 hey there Kevin, cheers buddy 😊👊🏻 we will cook an eel one day, once we get one the right size at the right time….we’re tucking in! Thanks for watching 😎👍👍
@@3wolves110 thanks pal, no monsters but plenty of action on the light rod, always good fun. Hope your keeping well & many thanks for watching as always 😎👊🏻👍👍
Awesome video mate, those mackerel looked like they were a great size. What a coincidence you making fish curry, as that's what I had last night, you were right too, a lot of meat, and really quite delicious in a curry😉👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan, good to hear your getting some fish home for the table, and curry has to be one of the finest ways to enjoy our finned friends👊🏻😊 looking forward to your vid later, take care matey 😎👍👍
Thanks Lincoln. Appreciate the trip down memory lane. Worth badgering you to give Portland a try huh? Thanks for listening, looks like you had a lot of fun. I drove down to the Bill when I first passed my test, arriving at dawn. First cast in turbulent race with a lure landed me a hefty 4-5lb Pollack . Returned every year for 15 years fishing all over the Jurrasic coast. Great memories. Curry for breakfast tho? You philistine, ha! Take care Chef.
I keep telling myself off for heading to Chesil all the time, so thank you for giving me a talking to & pointing me in a different direction! As you say, I’m glad you did & loved every minute…all would have been just a bit better though with a 5lb pollack…I bet that was amazing 😊here’s to another 15 years of fishing on this amazing stretch of coastline… and do try curry for breakfast, I think it’s going to be another new thing for me now 😁😂 cheers buddy 👊🏻👍👍
Just having a casual pint with Rob “landlocked sea fishing” .. apparently he reckons your Thai curry might be better than mine .. this I am not too happy about!! 😢😅😅
😂🤣we will have to try each others & compare notes😁 I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s such a nice fresh flavour when making your own compared to the shop bought stuff…banging 😊 cheers buddy, thanks for watching, catch you out there one day 😎😎👍
😂it was quite a “lively”breakfast David I’ll say that, it put a spring in my step for the hump back up the hill for sure! Cheers for watching buddy, take care👊🏻👍👍😎
Nice session Lincoln. It's difficult to beat being out at first light on the beach having it all to yourself and the fish are biting, magical and therapeutic. I love Mackerel hugely versatile and underrated imo. Loved your Thai curry. Take care buddy 🙂
Hey there Simon, I so agree with all of that😊 I’ve seen some great looking Indian curries with Mackerel cooked on the bone, going to give that a bash at home next I think. Appreciate your support as always pal, take care 👊🏻😎👍👍
Excellent video mate. Love seeing the mackerel coming out, and that green Thai curry just perfect. Very much appreciated. Stay safe well and happy . I'm already looking forward to your next offering 😊👍👍
Hi John, it’s a shame many “proper” anglers don’t have much good to say about mackerel, but on light tackle they just go mental 😂 and they taste great too 😊 cheers buddy, thanks as always for watching & commenting, take care 😎👍👍
Hey there Terence, good to hear it’s still going strong for you & your getting along with it. It was a real pleasure to give away, and a real pleasure to get another one to use myself. Happy fishing buddy & many thanks for watching 😊😎👍👍
Eazy Lincoln you ok pal, it looked cracking fun on the lure you found n recycled, in that dusk. Love the cooks up mate. All the best from the north east coast.
Cheers Carl, I’ve never been a huge lure fisherman, but the action is pretty hot when there are a few fish around, a great place to fish…hope your well & catching fish up there buddy 😎😊👍👍
Awesome video! The Thai Green curry sauce looks mega, gotta try that out! Im off fishing the Mersey next week with my cousin, so I'm hoping for a good bass which will go great with that! Tight lines 🎣
Hey there George, the Mersey area always looks incredible in vids, somewhere I have never fished so I wish you the very best of luck with that one 👊🏻 hope you get your Bass… & curry! Thanks as always for watching, take care 😎😊👍👍
Hi Rob, it was just by chance I had a couple of lures in a box, took the lure rod for a bit of light-ledgering for wrasse from the rocks to the left, never got there in the end😂 it was great fun, perfect conditions for it. Hope your well buddy & thanks as always for watching 😎👍👍👊🏻
All good, thanks, Lincoln. Blowing a hooley in Sussex today. Hope the mackerel will make an appearance when it settles down. Got some big prawns for bait but they may go in a green Thai curry after seeing your video😋🥘
Cheers Rob buddy, there were loads of Mackerel out there & could have bagged up, but just ate 1 and took a few others for the freezer for bait… I didn’t want to carry any more up the hill 😂take care mate 👊🏻👍👍😎
Hi buddy, thanks for watching😊 I’m really no expert, but I think for ease of access, reasonably low parking costs & good fishing, you can’t go wrong with Abbotsbury, it’s as good a spot as any I reckon, anywhere on the stretch from the car park to the teeth 👍 let us know how you get on! Cheers pal, take care 😎👍👍
Hello Mate ive not seen a spider crab in years ive only ever caught 1 at chesil beach & that was a real big un apparently peeler spider crab are good for bait & yes will have to stock up on some prawns in freezer for smoothies our local supermarket do them fresh & frozen so ideal thanks for the info bud think ive got about 9 may b in freezer always worth a go hopefully will b able to go get some mackerel if there showing now happy fishing 😎👍🎣🐟🐟🐟🦈🦈🦈
There’s been plenty of them about Al, more robbing the bait than actually getting hooked & dragged in, but the blighters are there😂 Aldi & Lidl near me seem to be all out of the raw prawns at the moment, hopefully they will be back soon as they are excellent bait. Thanks for watching buddy 😎😊👍👍
Hi Lincoln How you doing. The mackerel has finally arrived have thay at long last that sounds really good mate take care bud tight lines happy fishing 😎👍🎣🐟🐟🐟🦈🦈🦈
How strange you comment on this short today, I’m out on the beach again tonight….(hopefully) cooking up another curry 😂 and I’m watching your last live while getting my things together…. But you’ve not caught yet… cheers Shane buddy 😎👍👍
Yeah it’s a bit of a killer! Bizarrely I do quite enjoy it though, and the peace & feeling of remoteness far outweighs any possible increase in catches. Cheers buddy 😊👍👍
Good stuff! Was down there the other day at dawn and got 2 mackerel and a keeper gurnard (delicious). Think it was a tub although it was red, but maybe that's wrong! No bream either!
One of those tough days mate we all get them. And the mackerel are really scarce all over the place I'd like a few to eat and a few for the bait freezer but nothing 😢
Same here Adrian, don’t want to fill buckets, but a couple for the table and some for bait would be fab, it’s often like flicking a switch though & all of a sudden the water is boiling!….fingers crossed! Take care buddy 😎👍👍

Great video as always. My goal this year was to get a good sized red or tub but also, as I have never fished or caught a Bream, that is also on my list. Well done Lincoln.
Cheers Rob, I would have asked you along mate but I don’t think you would have fancied the walk on this one 😅 there are bream about, just not on my line yet 😂 small hooks on 2-hook rigs & you’ll get em mate. Those gurnard are real stunners….taste great too! Thanks for watching buddy, take care 😎👍👍
@@fishdisco3107 Yeh the walking with tackle would of been an issue for me. I have my rigs ready and have caught plenty of Gurnards before but I just wanted one bigger than the regular Gurnard, the Bream (that I have never caught} would take from the same rig and bait I'd guess. I've been out fishing here and there but caught nothing of significance, just Pout, Dogs and loads of Snotty Eels. Catch up soon!
That's it, I need to hit Chesil. It has been way too long! I used to fish Langton Herring quite a bit. Shame the triggers aren't as common along there anymore
Great watch, mate. The nudists love that stretch 😂 I had a 15 minute conversation with a chap once who was quite happy to stand their strutting his stuff 😂
A good effort, that's a long walk, Over the years I walk less and let the fish find me It can still bring good results😂 at least you had the beach to yourself !
I’ve been wanting to do that walk for a while now, just had to get it out of my system while I still can😂 it feels like the decent fish can’t find me wherever I go at the moment😂 thanks for watching buddy, take care 😎👍👍
Eazy Lincoln you ok pal, stunning morning n mark . Lovely colours on the Gurnard. Nice one for the mention mate. I've started putting a small bead at the other end of the spring aswell. Don't no iff it duz out just my o.c.d. lol. I'm sure ya bream will come soon , I wish we had them up here. All the best Lincoln from G.Y
Hi Carl, they’re a great little component mate, so thanks for putting me onto them👍 appreciate you watching as always, not sure I’ll be making the Hike back there again in a hurry though😂 take care buddy 😎👍👍
